...But relatives claim even Bigg Boss inmates were aware of his wedding

I AM NOT MARRIED: MANVEER
In a video posted on YouTube two days ago, Manveer can be seen dressed in a white sherwani and a red pagdi, the traditional wedding attire for a groom. The video shows him with a his mother Mala Devi before the ghud-chadhi ceremony, while the song Chote Chote Bhaiyyon Ke Bade Bhaiyya can be heard in the background. Some pictures of his 'wife' have also been shared by multiple sources on Twitter. Manveer calls the controversy a needless publicity gimmick. He says, “I am not married. Shaadi jaisi cheez aise chhup nahi sakti. I have been in the Bigg Boss House since October. Ab tak kisi ne to issue raise kiya hi hota. This has just been done by someone for cheap publicity and nothing else.“
HE HAS BEEN MARRIED FOR THREE YEARS: RELATIVES
Despite Manveer's insistence that he has never been married, some of his own relatives have said that not only is he married, but the fact was known to most people in the Bigg Boss house, including the host Salman Khan. Manveer's maternal uncle Karan Singh Nagar, says, “He was married three years ago. He also has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter named Aashi. He never hid the fact on the show.“
“He had shared it with Lopamudra Raut, Manu Punjabi and even Nitibha Kaul, who was trying to get close to him. Salman bhai, too, was told about it. There were too many intelligent people there. How did a common man rise amid them?“ he asks.
Suresh, who is married to Manveer's cousin, says that the marriage was hidden from the public eye for a reason. “If he had revealed his marriage, would so many girls vote for him?“ she asks.
IT IS JUST A PLOY TO MALIGN HIM: BROTHER
Manveer's brother Sachin calls the entire episode a ploy to malign Manveer's good image. He tells us, “Manveer has the image of a grounded and humble person. Throughout the show, he has been like that. He has been in the public eye for four months now. If he was married, why did nobody come and claim that till now? Doing this now when he has won and is being loved by all means it's just someone who is jealous of his achievement. They are just trying to malign him for some cheap publicity.“
Responding to his own relatives' claims about Manveer's wedding, Sachin says, “I don't know why they have said all this. Manveer and I will speak to them about this. Maybe they were confused. We will need to see what exactly they said and then talk to them about it. The fact remains that the claims are false.“
How the Bani-Lopamudra war helped Bigg Boss

It was always fireworks
whenever Lopamudra Raut (Miss United Continents 2016 2nd Runner-Up) and
veejay Bani Judge locked horns on Bigg Boss Season 10. The two never got
along barring the last leg of this edition. Even the makers couldn't
stop themselves from cashing in on their rivalry by pitting them against
each other and showcasing the highlights of their fights during the
finale dance performance.
Lopa says, “Our thinking didn't match, and it caused friction at times. Everybody behaves differently. I respect Bani and want everybody to do so. It's not that she is bad and I am good or the other way round. We are both strong personalities and sometimes, things just don't work out. It's not that we have any hard feelings towards each other. Let's end the topic now that the show has ended. I don't hold a grudge against anybody; I believe in moving on.“
Bani adds, “I have nothing against Lopa personally. She is a wonderful girl. I just don't know her that well. We were pitted against each other during the tasks and the makers also played up the fact that we didn't get along, which instigated it further. She has understood me a bit now; I couldn't make her understand me during the show.“
Many differences have been resolved outside the house. Do they expect the same to happen to them? “I don't want to maintain rivalry or friendship with her. Let's see if time changes our equation,“ answers Lopa, while Bani says, “That's pushing it a bit.“
Ask Bani if it feels bad to lose to a commoner (Manveer) and she replies, “I hate such discrimination. I was a commoner too, when I entered the industry. Even now, I am a normal human being; it's just that my job requires me to be in front of the camera. I have never considered myself a celebrity. I have my own nakhras, but an aam aadmi has even more nakhras and tantrums than any celebrity. Now that they are also so-called celebrities, Best of luck, India! You have made them celebrities and now you'll have to handle them. I call myself the people's champion.“
Meanwhile, Lopa says, “I am a little disappointed that I couldn't win, but I am glad that I reached top three. I am proud of myself for making it so far. I want to pat my own back for the amount of patience and perseverance I have shown. There are no regrets and I am happy that Manveer won; he deserved it. I would have been happy for Bani too, but Manveer was more deserving. He put his heart and soul in the game, and his involvement was commendable. He has been a good friend and his victory feels like my own. He is a nice soul.“
Many felt that Bani was a quitter, especially during tasks. She says, “When you participate in a reality show like Bigg Boss, outsiders can't fathom what you go through. People might have felt that I wasn't completely involved in tasks, but the truth is, I let go when I felt that was the best thing to do. It's important to let go at times; winning is not the most important thing in life. The journey is important as well.“
We also witnessed Lopa getting emotional after former Bigg Boss contestant Mandana Karimi accused her of being nasty towards Bani and not showing sportsman spirit. “That was Mandana's point of view and that needn't be the reality. I respect her and uski soch usse mubarak. Had I been in her position, I would have gone all out for the contestant I supported too, but without putting the other person down. I don't care about what she said. I am sensitive and I do feel hurt, but that's how all girls are,“ she signs off.

Natasha Coutinho (MUMBAI MIRROR; January 28, 2017)
Salman Khan is gearing up for the grand finale of his reality TV show, Bigg Boss, with the final four contestants, Bani Judge, Manveer Gurjar, Lopamudra Raut and Manu Punjabi.
The show’s charismatic host will perform with all the evicted contestants of season 10, everyone except Swami Om and Priyanka Jagga who made an acrimonious and unceremonious exit from the house. The wild cards won’t be back either.
“He will shake a leg with Lokesh Kumari, Nithiba Kaul, Navin Prakash, Rohan Mehra, Gaurav Chopra, Akansha Sharma, Karan Mehra, Rahul Dev and Mona Lisa. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were to be the special guests but there’s been a change of plan and Hrithik Roshan has stepped in for Badrinath and his dulhania now,” informs a source.

Shrugs off the bashing on social media for running down Lopamudra Raut on a reality show, says the latter is giving her too much importance
Natasha Coutinho (MUMBAI MIRROR; January 28, 2017)
Iranian actress-model Mandana Karimi tied the knot with long-time beau Gaurav Gupta on Thursday. She describes it as a “surreal court marriage” that took place in the presence of close friends who she knows in Mumbai. Her family couldn’t attend it and the honeymoon hasn’t been planned yet. “We might have a big party but I didn’t want it to turn into a media circus with our wedding pictures going out. A wedding should be a private affair,” asserts the former Bigg Boss contestant who stirred up a controversy when she went on the sets of the reality show last Wednesday.
The outspoken Mandana lashed out at Lopamudra Raut, one of the four finalists in season 10, comparing her to an obnoxious inmate, Swami Om, who was hauled out of the house after a disgusting act that had the viewers squirming, while expressing support for co-contestant Bani Judge. Lopa’s fans since have been on a Mandana bashing spree on social media, not even sparing her on her wedding post.
“When I was on the show I never cared what other people thought of me. I don’t know Lopa personally but what she said about Bigg Boss is not right. Her claims that she’s represented her country as a former Miss India yet Bigg Boss does not show support for her simply proves that she’s insecure. Also, she took my words too seriously thereby giving me too much importance,” Mandana retorts, pointing out that she wouldn’t get ruffled if someone ran down her appearance care if anyone but would simply thank them for their opinion and do what she believed was right.
She points out that her co-contestants from season 9, Rishabh Sinha and Rochelle Rao who are criticising her today for her comments on Lopamudra, were themselves politically correct on the show. “They never stood up for themselves. The competition was only between Prince and me,” she states. Prince won that season.
Salman Khan took me to his chalet and even promised me a job-Rahul Dev

Rahul Dev who was evicted from Bigg Boss 10 last week is a relieved man. He says he had enough of the house! “Lot of things have happened outside like demonetization. I have a company to run and several other responsibilities, that I will have to take care of now. I have a 80-year-old mother and 92-year-old father to take care of. Also, my son who is studying abroad is coming on the 19th so everything has fallen into place,” says Rahul. He, however, is glad that he who never could even boil water can now cook a good meal right from chopping vegetables to making a dish. “I cooked for 12 people for two-and-a-half days and also know to make coffee now,” he smiles.
The constant refrain about him in the house was he was lazy and could not take a stance. Even host Salman Khan called him out on that. Was he hurt by the comments? “No, because Salman always heard me out. I told him there and then, that I can’t plot and scheme, and can be entertaining to a certain extent.” However, in the next few week, Rahul perked up and even did an act spoofing Swami Om that got him a lot of applause. “Yes, but it was an act created out of a situation. And that’s what I do for a living,” he shrugs it off. As for Salman, Rahul says he has been extremely magnanimous. “He took me to his chalet and even promised me a job,” he grins.
About him being biased and supportive of Bani against Om Swami but not Lopa, he says, “Bani is clear that she does not like Om Swami, but Lopa herself is confused. On the one hand, she says he looks at her inappropriately and on the other he is the one oiling her hair and putting her to sleep!”
What prompted him to be a part of the show? “I had taken a three-and-a-half year break from films because I lost my wife Rina and had to take care of my son. I gave importance to parenting over everything else and went back to Delhi. Now, when I had to make a comeback, Bigg Boss was the best platform to give me that visibility.”
Rahul has found love again with Mugdha Godse and the two participated in Power Couple, too. Is he planning to take their relationship to the next level? “I can’t say about marriage right now, but Mugdha is extremely special. I am glad she is a part of my life,” he says.
Bigg Boss 10 press conference: Gaurav Chopra gets defensive, Bani J takes offence

High voltage drama (what else?) ensued when hitlist grilled seven Bigg Boss 10 inmates
Letty Mariam Abraham (MID-DAY; December 9, 2016)
The makers of 'Bigg Boss 10' invited hitlist for a tete-a-tete with the seven nominated inmates yesterday, with captain Gaurav Chopra also in attendance. Pumped with ammunition, we got the green chit to grill the contestants on their actions and lack of it, albeit with a few restrictions — we weren't allowed to inform them about any occurrences outside the house, including the demonetization issue (although, they seemed to have a fair idea already).
Gaurav was questioned for not generating enough 'content' and being diplomatic. The actor said, "I am doing enough in the house, but since you get to see an edited version, may be you should ask the makers why more isn't being shown." The actor even retorted to claims that he has no identity without co-contestant Bani J, by stating that this was merely a perception.
Bani, who has been providing ample entertainment for the past 50 days in the house with her tears and screams, walked out during the press conference because Lopamudra Raut wouldn’t let her speak. The two have been at loggerheads for some time. It is believed that Lopamudra is the real reason for the conflict between Gaurav and Bani.
While no one accepted it, their demeanor spoke volumes about their dislike for each other. Lopa claims, “Bani doesn’t bother to talk or have a conversation. Yes I think she is a little insecure with me because I am strong. I wished her on her birthday and she didn’t even look at me or say thank you.”
Bani responds, “Lopa is like a child. She is immature person who lives in a bubble.” But even before Bani could complete, Lopa would interrupt and not let the VJ finish her statement. After a few repeated occurrences, Bani lost her cool, especially when she was interrupted while expressing her love for Gauahar Khan. Irate, Bani got up and strutted right out of the room. So much drama!
Priyanka Jagga, who seems to have lost her thunder after returning to the house, chuckled with joy each time a female contestant was put under the scanner. The only exception was Bani, whose opinions were constantly backed by Jagga.
Jagga kept harping on how Lopa is fake, made expression with every statement Rohan Mehra made and kept giggling every time Nitibha was grilled. Jagga claims, “This place cannot let you make relationships, here people can only play games.”
But her attitude towards Bani has definitely changed because she kept following Bani’s lead and supporting everything the celebrity said.
