DAAWAT-E-ISHQ grossed around 5 crore nett in week two to take its business to around 25.50 crore nett.

KHOOBSURAT grossed a decent 8 crore nett in week two to take its business to 24 crore nett and its lifetime business will be around 24.50 crore nett.

Khoobsurat collects 21.50 cr in 10 days

KHOOBSURAT had a good hold in its second weekend as it grossed 5.50 crore nett and took its ten day total to 21.50 crore nett. The drop from the first weekend is around 45% which is very good

The new releases were disasters so this meant that KHOOBSURAT got the advantage and to a lesser extent DAAWAT-E-ISHQ too benefited. KHOOBSURAT will have another three days to add to its total as BANG BANG and HAIDER will release on Thursday. The film is looking at a lifetime total of 24-25 crore nett which is low but not bad considering that the film had a opening day of around 2.25 crore nett plus.
The plus for the film is its Overseas figures which are good in a few markets and will take it to the recovery mark even though Indian theatrical business is below the mark.

Daawat-E-Ishq 20.50 cr in Week 1; Khoobsurat 17.25 cr in 8 days

'Daawat-e-Ishq' has minted more than 'Khoobsurat' in the past four days, but they didn't meet the expectations of the audience, says an expert.

DAAWAT-E-ISHQ grossed 20.50 crore nett in week one. The film had could not start well and showed a decent up trend over the weekend and then had normal weekday trending when it should have done better. On Monday, the collections fell 45% but when the weekend is low you really need to get near the Friday number.

The best business has come in Delhi/UP where the film has grossed around 5 crore nett. Mumbai circuit has let down the film which is the case with KHOOBSURAT as well. Despite having a Muslim touch to the film it could not gross well in Gujarat and the Mumbai circuit figures for week one were 6.50 crore nett approx.
The film has advantage of no major release this week and so this means it has held screens well and the main competition will be KHOOBSURAT again.
---------------------
KHOOBSURAT grossed 16 crore nett in week one. The film trended well on weekdays with the daily collections on Monday to Thursday staying around the 1.50 crore nett region for all four days. The problem is that it had a very low weekend total which has held the film back. If this sort of trending was seen along with a better opening weekend, the film would have done well.

Khoobsurat dropped 30% on Monday from Friday but the sort of Friday it had to get the same or better figure as Friday. The film like DAAWAT-E-ISHQ has done best in Delhi/UP with collections around 4.25 crore nett and Mumbai is the under performer with figures of around 4.75 crore nett.

The film has trended well on weekdays and there is no major release this week and so the main competition will be DAAWAT-E-ISHQ which KHOOBSURAT should score over, unlike in the first week. it should be the top film of the week.
---------------------
KHOOBSURAT held well on its eighth day as it showed a 50% drop from day one. The collections will be in between the 1-1.25 crore nett range. On Thusday it recorded similar collections to DAAWAT-E-ISHQ and on Friday it has gone ahead.

The drop from Thursday to Friday was hardly there for KHOOBSURAT and it should show huge growth on Saturday and with the new releases proving to be washouts it can go towards 5 crore nett for the weekend. The film is doing well at premium multiplexes across the country especially the Delhi NCR belt.

The eighth day collections of KHOOBSURAT are similar to the first day collections of all seven new releases combined which were being screened on over 2300 screens compared to the 600 of KHOOBSURAT. DAAWAT-E-ISHQ also grossed more than DESI KATTEY which was the highest collecting new release but the drop was in the 70-75% region for DAAWAT-E-ISHQ.
---------------------
FINDING FANNY grossed 3.50 crore nett approx in week two taking its two week total to 28 crore nett and it will finish at around 29 crore nett.

Daawat-E-Ishq 15.50 cr in 4 days; Khoobsurat 11.75 cr

Box-office: Daawat-e-Ishq vs Khoobsurat
Box Office India Trade Network

DAAWAT-E-ISHQ and KHOOBSURAT managed to show solid growth on Saturday. The growth for KHOOBSURAT was good as it is doing its best business at theatres which do best business on Saturday. The trend may be the opposite on Sunday when DAAWAT-E-ISHQ shows more growth. The two day business of both films is as follows.
Daawat E Ishq
Friday - 3,60,00,000
Saturday - 4,30,00,000
TOTAL - 7,90,00,000

Khoobsurat
Friday - 2,35,00,000
Saturday - 3,25,00,000
TOTAL - 5,60,00,000
The growth is good to decent for both films but problem is low starting point. But still if one or both can sustain on Monday they have two weeks until BANG BANG and HAIDER to have a decent box office run.
-----------------------
KHOOBSURAT grossed 10-10.25 crore nett its it first weekend which is a low figure but the trend was good with good growth on Saturday followed with a similar trend on Sunday.

The film should have had better opening day but with competition from DAAWAT-E-ISHQ which was also a film aimed at the youth, it gave the target audience a choice which means less footfalls than they would have got if they were solo. The growth on Saturday and Sunday gives it a chance but Monday has to hold very well and be near the Friday collection.

The business of the film was best in Delhi NCR area with Delhi/UP grossing around 2.75 crore nett and East Punjab at around 1.25 crore nett.
-----------------------
DAAWAT-E-ISHQ grossed 13.50-13.75 crore nett its it first weekend which again like KHOOBSURAT is a low weekend number but there was solid growth on Saturday and Sunday which means the film is depending on Monday holding up well..

There is no major competition this week and that is why if it can hold on the weekdays it has chances for a respectable total. If there was a release on Friday then it would have been tough even if collections sustained well on Monday.

It was the metro multiplexes which held the film back and where KHOOBSURAT did better business. Outside the metros it had better figures than KHOOBSURAT. Delhi/UP was best with around 3.50 crore nett over the first weekend.
-----------------------
DAAWAT-E-ISHQ held up pretty well on Monday though collections were low for both. DAAWAT-E-ISHQ grossed around 2 crore nett while KHOOBSURAT was around 1.50 crore nett. The business in four days is 15.50 crore nett for DAAWAT-E-ISHQ and KHOOBSURAT is 11.75 crore nett .

KHOOBSURAT trended the better of the two on Monday as it dropped around 35% while the drop for DAAWAT-E-ISHQ was 45%. Despite decent Monday figures both films have low overall figures due to the poor initials. The clash has hurt both films; if they were solo releases, they would have surely had better opening day figures. The business of KHOOBSURAT could catch up with DAAWAT-E-ISHQ by the end of the week or beginning of week two.

Now it just remains to be seen which film comes out on top in lifetime figures. Going by the trend the business of KHOOBSURAT will catch up with DAAWAT-E-ISHQ but it may be too late as the latter will have a 4-4.50 crore nett advantage in week one and it will be hard for KHOOBSURAT to make up all the shortfall in week two and thereafter.

Day 1: Daawat-E-Ishq 3.75 cr; Khoobsurat 2.50 cr

Box Office India Trade Network

DAAWAT-E-ISHQ and KHOOBSURAT were poor on day one as they grossed 3.75 crore nett and 2.50 crore nett respectively. The collections were low all over with the wide release of DAAWAT-E-ISHQ in Delhi/UP helping it a little in that territory as it was best.

KHOOBSURAT was best at premium multiplexes where it had similar collections to DAAWAT-E-ISHQ but elsewhere it was well behind. It also performed best in Delhi/UP thanks to Delhi multiplexes. Although both films got the release needed in terms of screens the clash did affect collections of both films as both were for the youth and therefore the audience at multiplexes was split.

Mumbai was under performer for both as the biggest circuit recorded low numbers. Saturday is all important for the two films and big growth will be needed to make any headway at the box office.
