B-Town has been buzzing about the bonding between Tevar’s lead pair, Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha for a while now. The duo has been spotted together watching movies, attending bashes and are rumoured to have even taken time off in Turkey together.
Recently, Sonakshi was shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) as part of the promotions of her film, Action Jackson, when Arjun dropped in to meet her. At the KBC shoot, Sonakshi was accompanied by her Action Jackson co- star Ajay Devgn and director Prabhu Dheva.
Says a source, “She was in the make up room and was getting ready for the shoot when Arjun trooped in. They spent time together till it was time to get the cameras rolling. There were quiet whispers about his presence.”
About meeting Sonakshi, Arjun maintains, “Her shoot was at YRF studios and I happened to be dubbing for Tevar there. Along with the film’s director Amit Sharma, I bumped into her outside the audio wing of the studios.”
During the release of her film, R…Rajkumar last year, there were rumours of Sona dating co-star Shahid Kapoor. However, the buzz fizzled out in a few months. On the other hand, Arjun was linked with his 2 States co-star, Alia Bhatt. Ever since Arjun and Sonakshi began shooting for Tevar, speculation about their closeness has kept the gossip mills busy.

Ekta Kapoor went through a harrowing experience on Wednesday afternoon when she encountered a ‘stalker’ during a media interaction at Balaji House. She was talking about the integration of her reality game show, Box Cricket League with Kaun Banega Crorepati when she saw a middle-aged man clicking her photographs at a fervent pace.
An eyewitness says, “He was standing in a corner and clicking away her photos. Ekta screamed causing the man to panic. He dropped his identity card and mobile phone, and fled from the place. We found out that he was an imposter, posing as a scribe of a Bollywood trade paper. His phone contained several photographs of Ekta from various events.”
Shiv Kumar, an employee of the paper in question, says, “That man is abnormal and has been chasing Ekta Kapoor since a long time. The identity card that he carries to enter various film events and parties is fake. He has also been beaten up by security personnel earlier. I hope Ekta takes strict action against him.” Sources say the man, estimated to be in his mid 30s, was spotted outside Ekta’s house on Sunday. “He had been following her for some time. He is mostly seen outside her office and residence,” the source adds.
Ekta is learnt to have told her security personnel to keep an eye out for the man.

The team of Happy New
Year broke into the set of TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati to
steal everything they could lay their hands on - the computers, hot seat,
host Amitabh Bachchan's clothes and ties! Nothing was spared by Shah
Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood,
Vivaan Shah and Farah Khan.
Interestingly, it was also a coup of sorts to have both the Bachchans together on the show for the first time. The gang indulged in funny banter, revealing secrets and pet peeves of each other, including the plot of the movie, which added to the director's concern of audiences not showing up in theatres to watch the movie! Not only this, every one complained to Big B about the pranks pulled by his son during the shoot and much to everyone's surprise, Bachchan Sr admitted that Abhishek is indeed, a big prankster. The baap-beta also enthralled everyone with their dance moves that they are famous for as a jodi. SRK grooved to Dard-E-Disco with Farah and the others also put their best dancing foot forward.
The team had a gala time as they faced questions from Big B, donating the prize money to a charitable fund.
This episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati airs tonight at 8.30 on Sony Entertainment Television.

Amitabh Bachchan, who hosts the quiz programme, Kaun Banega Crorepati, had the entire star cast of Happy New Year come over for a special episode. However, it is learnt that though rules suggest none of the host’s relatives can be invited on the show, the makers made an exception as the film stars Big B’s son, Abhishek Bachchan.
A crew member says, “When the entire star cast was invited on the show, he obviously had to be present.
Never in the past has any of Amitabh Bachchan’s relatives come on the show. Therefore, this time, the production house and the channel had a bit of a discussion and decided to include his son, Abhishek Bachchan in the special episode.”
Shooting for the special episode is said to have started late because of a big star cast. “Abhishek not only played the game along with Shah Rukh Khan and pulled up a prank on his father besides shaking a leg with him. Shah Rukh asked Amit ji for some tips on handling children as he is a father of three kids,” adds a source.
While the channel spokesperson remained unavailable for comment, the show’s producer, Anita Basu denied the buzz about the rules being tweaked. She says, “Everything was legally vetted before that (the episode) and he (Abhishek) was anyway playing for charity.”

Shraddha Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor have been busy promoting their upcoming
film, Haider. On Saturday, the duo shot for a special episode of Kaun
Banega Crorepati with Amitabh Bachchan and they also donated the winning
amount of Rs 3,20,000 to the Kashmir flood victims.
A source says, “Shahid, Shraddha and director Vishal Bhardwaj have already made donations to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund. When they made an appearance on the game show, they announced that they will also donate their winnings to the same cause. In fact, Big B, who has shot quite a few films in Kashmir, got nostalgic about those good old days and he appealed to audiences to donate towards the relief of these flood victims.”
Shraddha says, “Our shoot in Kashmir was wonderful and we have very happy memories to share about the same. To think that people in all those beautiful locations have suffered so much is heartbreaking.”
Meanwhile, Shraddha has also been down with a bout of fever and cough since the past few days. But the actress apparently did not cancel any promotional events, though she did get a day’s break on Sunday.
A source says that despite her ill-health, she sang a song for Amitabh Bachchan on the show. The actress confirms this. “I am under the weather, but promoting this film is like a medicine for me. I know I can’t miss a single day of promotions,” she says.

Amitabh Bachchan has been down with fever since the past couple of days. As a result, he had to call off a shoot and return early from the sets of his quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati on Tuesday.
Says a source, “Amitabh has been reporting on the sets of the show despite the fever. On Monday, he shot for two episodes even though he had fever, as he did not want to disturb anyone’s schedule. However, he was tired and felt weak on Tuesday, so the shoot was called off.”
It is being said that the actor has been asked to take it easy for the next few days. “He has been advised to take some rest and he’s likely to resume shooting on September 15. He is apparently suffering from viral fever and is expected to recover soon.” Interestingly, two days ago, Amitabh Bachchan had posted on a social networking site that he is unwell and that he had to cancel a shoot. On Tuesday evening, Big B wrote, “Yes, went to work! Back for quite a while... and the fever has returned! Damn!” (sic)
The channel’s spokesperson was not available for comment.
When you are with Kapil Sharma, you only get to see his humourous side-Amitabh Bachchan

Roshni K Olivera (BOMBAY TIMES; August 17, 2014)
As Kaun Banega Crorepati's
new season's grand premiere is set to air tonight at 8.30 on Sony
Entertainment Television, we spoke to television's favourite host
Amitabh Bachchan on his journey. Excerpts:
KBC, for the first time ever, is reaching out to live audiences. Is it more difficult in terms of shooting?
Yes, this is the first time that KBC has stepped out from the Mumbai Studios and what an experience it has been! The entire designing, execution and management of this massive exercise was simply incredible.
The shooting of the episode live has been tough, as would any other shooting. But seeing and being a part of this path-breaking moment has been an absolute delight. We now have a template, and we have the experience of its conduct and I do pray that we can replicate this in other cities and indeed, other countries as well.
Kapil Sharma's comic acts will also be a part of this season. Are we going to see your humourous side as well?
When you are with Kapil Sharma, you only get to see his humourous side, and nothing else.
While shooting in Surat, Kapil asked you jokingly whether when you call your wife, you say, `Namaskar main Amitabh Bachchan bol raha hoon KBC se.' Has anything close to that ever happened?
No it hasn't so far... but then you never know!
'Yahaan sirf paise hi nahi... dil bhi jeete jaate hain' is this year's campaign. What was your first reaction when you heard about it?
It brought a lump to my throat. Each story had a tale that was relevant - a story that many wanted to say, but were hesitant to express. I thought it touched every individual with its starkness and honesty. Honesty has the unique quality of bringing on a surge of emotion and moist eyes. It definitely brought it to me, despite the fact that I was involved in it creatively.
How would you describe your KBC journey from day one to now? Has much changed?
It has been life-changing in more ways than one. The uniqueness of the show, the intricacies of its planning and execution, the joys of winners and their life stories, the sor rows of the conditions that the contestants have fought with, to be able to overcome restrictive social norms, family contentions, to arrive on the Hot Seat and to set an example. To have the great blessing of being in the company of some of the most incredible contest ants - to learn of their lives, and to be able in some small way to become a kind of con duit for a life-changing moment for them. Just a couple of days ago, I had the 1000th contestant on the Hot Seat, and was informed that I had conducted 565-plus episodes so far. That's a lifetime in itself!
What about the show gives you a high today?
The opportunity it gives me to meet Bharat!
With the new season about to begin, are you anxious about audience's reactions, given that the show has been on for many years?
An artist, a creative individual, is always apprehensive. And that's the way it should be. Nothing and nobody is perfect, but apprehension brings in the endeavour to try to make it so.
KBC Maha Khel starts tomorrow and will air every Monday-Thursday at 8.30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

Kapil Sharma to be seen in back-to-back shows on rival channels this weekend

Comedy king Kapil Sharma, who has been in news for the past few months, is back to grabbing headlines. This time around, sources say that Kapil will be seen in back-to-back shows on rival channels this Independence Day. Says a source, “Kapil has gained a lot of popularity thanks to his show, Comedy Nights with Kapil. On Independence Day, not only will he be seen in his own show, but the actor will also be seen in the opening episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) along with its superstar host, Amitabh Bachchan.”
The source adds that channels have planned their programming keeping in mind the fact that it’s a long weekend. “TV channels are only too aware of Kapil’s popularity and they want to cash in on it. KBC’s opening episode will be shown on Sony at 7pm and post that, Kapil will be seen on Colors in his show, Comedy Nights with Kapil. This apart, the weekend programming of Colors anyway features repeat telecasts of Kapil’s shows; so it’s clearly a win-win situation for Kapil as he’ll be dominating the primetime
slot,” says the source.
Kapil remained unavailable for comment.
