THE SABARMATI REPORT had a good hold on Monday dropping 15% from the first day. if you take out the partial holiday factor, then collections are probably at the same level as Friday. The 1 crore number was a must for the film on the Monday and it has got that. Now it remains to be seen where it goes.
The film is seeing external support from a political angle and that is why the film doing better from Sunday. The collections so far for the film are 7.50 crore nett and due to this, it has a long way to go. The first week will be in double digits and the next target is a second week which is in double digits or close.

THE SABARMATI REPORT showed good growth on Saturday of around 60-65% as it collected over 2 crore nett to have a two day total of 3.40 crore nett. The film was coming off a partial holiday on Friday which means the growth is actually more than it looks and maybe its 80% fair value growth. It is about where the film lands on Monday and it needs to be around that 1 crore nett mark.
The trend of the film was better on Saturday than all films playing including the Diwali releases and the Hollywood release GLADITOR II. That gives the film a chance but it all depends on the Monday.
The collections for THE SABARMATI REPORT till date are as follows.
Friday - 1,30,00,000
Saturday - 2,10,00,000
TOTAL - 3,40,00,000
KANGUVA (Hindi) opened well on the first day especially considering it was a Thursday but it has been downhill since with collections going down even on Saturday. The film has so far collected 7.25 crore nett in Hindi with decent numbers in some parts but the trend is bad.
The collections of KANGUVA (Hindi) so far are as follows.
Thursday - 3,25,00,000
Friday - 2.25,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
TOTAL - 7,25,00,000
-------------------------------------
THE SABARMATI REPORT collected almost 6.50 crore nett over its first weekend with a decent trend on Saturday and a very good trend on Sunday when the film jumped 40% with Mumbai circuit doing much better than it did on the first two days.
The weekend is low but that Sunday growth gives the film a chance of putting up a strong hold on Monday. This sort of growth coming on Sunday may mean it has something, however minor, outside the metros but that remains to be seen. There are important politicians spreading the word for the film which can be helping the collections.
The collections for THE SABARMATI REPORT till date are as follows.
Friday - 1,30,00,000
Saturday - 2,10,00,000
Sunday - 3,00,00,000
TOTAL - 6,40,00,000
KANGUVA (Hindi) collected 9.25 crore nett in Hindi in the first four days which actually is not that bad but it has dropping collections. The collections in its home market of Tamil Nadu were around 22 crore nett and even compared to that to that Hindi collections actually look good. But it will be lights out on Monday due to weak trend. The all India collections were around 50 crore nett in four days but it was dull across South India post the first day.
The collections of KANGUVA (Hindi) so far are as follows
Thursday - 3,25,00,000
Friday - 2.25,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 2,00,00,000
TOTAL - 9,25,00,000
