KALKI 2898 AD has taken its all India collections on all versions to 600 crore nett plus making it the fifth film to do so after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION, RRR, KGF - CHATER 2 and JAWAN. This figure looked tough but the Hindi version has sustained extremely well over the last couple of weeks.

The film has beaten RRR in Hindi but in South, the numbers are generally less which will leave the film well short of RRR though the Hindi version in South is far better than the Hindi version of RRR in South. The film will probably add another 3-5 crore nett for a final total of 608-610 crore nett.

The main contributions now are in Hindi followed by Nizam/Andhra. The overseas market is looking at a $29 million end with the Hindi version contributing around $7 million.

KALKI 2898 AD (Hindi) is now the top south grosser dubbed in Hindi which is not a sequel as it reaches the 276 crore nett plus mark and is looking at finish around the 280 crore nett mark. This looked an impossible target post the first week as mass circuit contributions came down and generally the trend was not as strong as RRR.

RRR was previously the highest non sequel film from the South with around 275 crore nett but KALKI 2898 AD has taken out that number. The bigger films from the South are BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION and KGF - CHAPTER 2 but both were sequels which makes a huge difference especially for a South film which has an established fanbase. In fact, its the same for Hindi films though most the franchises here are comedies which don't have the reach of these South films.

The biggest surprise with KALKI 2898 AD is that it has scored very well at the bigger centres and it is these which have carried the film while the trend is opposite for the other bigger South films where other centres have been far stronger be it BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONLCUSION, KGF - CHAPTER 2 and RRR. The film is comfortably ahead of RRR in Mumbai city, Pune, Delhi NCR and Kolkata though the circuit numbers of Mumbai and Delhi/UP will remain lower.

The hold of the film has no doubt set up the sequel of the film with the potential to put up a huge number as part one has recorded the highest number ever for a first part of dubbed film from the South. The all India collections on all formats will finish a little over 600 crore nett.
