KABIR SINGH had an outstanding first week of over 133 crore nett and it is the third highest non holiday first week of all time after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and SANJU. It is second to BHARAT for 2019 which grossed 168 crore nett in first week but had the Eid period in its first week.

KABIR SINGH has crossed the lifetime footfalls of BHARAT at some national chains like Inox and Cinepolis. It is less on all India level but at these big chains, there is a huge pricing difference which has meant less collections despite more footfalls.

The first noticeable fall came on Thursday but this could be because of the India cricket match which could have hit the film by around 5%. The film fell by around 15% on Thursday while the other weekdays say minimal drops of around 5%. KABIR SINGH has remained rock steady on Wednesday and seems on course to be the biggest HIT film of the year till date. The film collected around 15.75 crore nett on Wednesday to take its six day numbers to 120 crore nett. The film is a blockbuster and will beat the share of URI within two weeks.

Obviously everything depends on the second Friday but with no major competition, it should hold well and if it was to surprise on the upside like it has been doing so far, then the film will have unimaginable lifetime number.

The biggest achievement of this film will that it could have the highest footfalls of the year and that includes AVENGERS: ENDGAME. Eventually its the footfalls that show the real success of the film as numbers today depend on a lot a factors with the biggest being ticket pricing.

KABIR SINGH is on a huge run as the figures on Tuesday were practically the same as Monday. The film across the centres of UP, CP, CI, Rajasthan and Gujarat was either up or similar on Tuesday. The minor drop that did come was from the metro multiplexes.

The film collected 16.50 crore nett on Monday taking its total to 104 crore nett plus. The first week is heading for a 130 crore nett plus total. There have been noticeable drops on the Wednesday for major releases this year be it TOTAL DHAMAAL, GULLY BOY or BHARAT and lets see how this one fares on Wednesday as the appreciation here is far more

The film is a remake of a Telugu film which did more than 55% of its business in Nizam in the Nizam/Andhra circuit. Nizam is basically Hyderabad and surrounding areas and for a Telugu blockbuster it will cover 35% of the Nizam/Andhra collections. So with such a high ratio its basically pretty limited in that market but its Hindi version KABIR SINGH has become an outright all India blockbuster in all Hindi markets.

KABIR SINGH had an extraordinary Monday as it collected 17 crore nett which makes the film a BLOCKBUSTER as it has huge acceptance all over. The four day collections of the film are almost 88 crore nett and the first week could finish in the 125-130 crore nett range. KABIR SINGH has chances of emerging the biggest HIT of 2019.

The drop from Friday is just 15% and this sort of trend is seen with those films which opens at low single digits while this film is dropping just 15% from a 20 crore nett opening. The collections have held up all over and is sure to be the biggest HIT of 2019 in mass circuits.

The film is doing excellent in Mumbai city, Pune and South but that is also where the shortfall will probably come if we compare the numbers of URI. In these places, URI behaved like a 350 crore nett all India film.

KABIR SINGH has so far grossed around 28 crore nett in Mumbai, 18 crore nett in Delhi/UP and 7.25 crore nett in East Punjab. The next best markets are Nizam/Andhra and CP Berar with figures around 5 crore nett in four days. The film is excellent in the cities of Maharashtra and Marathawada in both these circuits.

KABIR SINGH had an excellent first weekend of 70 crore nett plus as the Saturday figures came in a little higher than previously estimated. The shocker is Nizam/Andhra as its final weekend collections are heading to over 4 crore nett and this area has already seen the original Telugu film. The circuit had the highest numbers after the top three circuits of Mumbai, Delhi/UP and East Punjab.

The Sunday of 27.75 crore nett are a record for the year as it beat the 25.50 crore nett of BHARAT by a margin and the 24 crore nett of TOTAL DHAMAAL. The Sunday ensures a solid hold for the film on Monday though how strong will be only known on the day.

The film has beaten all records of previous Shahid Kapoor starrers by huge distances and is already his highest solo NETT grosser. The weekend is not that far of the big budget multi star cast film PADMAAVAT. If we look at the weekends this year then BHARAT is top at 90 crore nett on Eid and this film is just 20 crore nett short of that. TOTAL DHAMAAL is next best with nearly 61 crore nett.

The footfalls of this film are much higher than the weekend numbers makes it look. Despite the number being around 22% less than BHARAT, the footfalls may well be just 10% less than BHARAT or even under 10%.

KABIR SINGH did excellent business on Saturday as it collected around 22.25 crore nett to take its two day total to 42.25 crore nett. The growth is 10% on Saturday and considering the first day was so strong, this is very good. The cricked match on Saturday did not affect business much and this was the case with all the films.

The film has shown strong growth in Mumbai of around 20% with even Gujarat growing well on Saturday. Circuits like CP Berar and CI have managed to show little gains and considering how well they opened this is a sign that the film is going to be a huge success.

The only places where the business is on the weaker side is the cities of Punjab like Ludhiana and Jalandhar as the Punjabi film SHADAA has affected it. The circuit of East Punjab is strong as the centres of Haryana do huge business.
