KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) had a fantastic second week as it grossed 78 crore nett and held on very well on the weekdays of the second week. The total collections of the film are now around 341.50 crore nett making it the third highest Hindi grosser ever after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. The drop in week two is 70% but that is coming off a eight day week. If we take the first day out, then the drop is around 63%.

There will be a drop in business today as it faces two new releases but business will pick up over the weekend and then get Eid benefit over the weekdays. Despite the likely drop today, it will beat the business of DANGAL and still has an outside chance of reaching 400 crore nett.

The collections across all circuits are fantastic with an all time record already there in Odisha and Bihar looking to be one in time. Bihar is holding up supremely well with collections being not far off East Punjab over the weekdays which is a far bigger circuit.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) is still maintaining strongly at the box office as it picked up another 7 crore nett on its second Tuesday to take the total collections of the film to around 330 crore nett. The second week stands at 66 crore nett and should finish at 77 crore nett.

After the second week, it will have only BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and DANGAL ahead of it though it has already beaten DANGAL in Mumbai, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, West Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Odisha with some of these areas ahead by a margin. The film should also chase down the DANGAL lifetime total in time. 

The second week collections of the film will be the second best post the pandemic after THE KASHMIR FILES and will be among the top ten of all time as well.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) collected a solid 7.75-8 crore nett on its second Monday which now takes the film to a huge 323 crore nett. The drop on the second Monday is just 25% plus and it is on course for a second week total of 75 crore nett plus. The second week of KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) is very similar to the second week of RRR (Hindi) 

So the film is looking at a total of 335-340 crore nett after two weeks which will mean that the 400 crore nett mark will be tough to reach due to big releases over the next few weeks be it HEROPANTI 2, RUNWAY 34 and DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS. The last one named looking a sure shot HIT as to the advances have picked up already.

The pre Eid period has not affected the film much as the drop on Monday is pretty much normal for a second Monday for an accepted film though as Eid gets closer, it could see drops in Muslim dominated centres.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 recorded a huge second weekend as it collected over 50 crore nett. The film became the first film in history to collect 10 crore nett in Odisha and also crossed the 100 crore nett mark in Mumbai circuit. It will easily be the third highest grossing film in the circuit after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR.

The total collections of the film stand at around 315 crore nett and by the end of the week it may be that only BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and DANGAL are ahead of it. The film is going to beat DANGAL in all circuits except Delhi/UP and East Punjab and it remains to be seen if the total Hindi version number surpasses DANGAL.

The second weekend drop, if we take the Fri - Sun period last week, is just a little over 60% which is fantastic considering the volume of business the film has done till date. The film may well hold well when the Eid films come also as the release of KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) did not really dent RRR (Hindi). Hence, the Eid releases will not affect KGF - CHAPTER 2 either.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 had a superb second Friday with collections in the 11.25 crore nett range which is a very limited drop from Thursday. There was competition from JERSEY and although that film did not collect much, it would have hit screen space at multiplexes. The total collections of KGF - CHAPTER 2 now are around 274 crore nett and it remains on course to hit 300 crore nett by end of business on Sunday.

The film also remains on course hit the DANGAL numbers which is the second highest grossing film behind BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. Monday will be real test here as it will be pre Eid week and collections could drop over the weekdays.

The second Friday is a little lower than RRR (Hindi) but KGF - CHAPTER 2 covered much more business than RRR (Hindi) over the first week and it was seeing bigger falls in the weekdays due to this. The trend of being behind RRR (hindi) has continued into week two though Saturday and Sunday can change that.

KGF - CHAPTER 2 is also closing in on the 100 crore nett mark in Mumbai circuit and should hit it tomorrow. It will the third highest grossing film ever in Mumbai after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR
