JUDWAA 2 is heading for business of 132.50 crore nett in its final run which will make it cross TOILET - EK PREM KATHA which is the highest nett grosser till date but GOLMAAL AGAIN will be topping the list by the end of its first week run. In terms of GROSS figures RAEES still heads the charts as there was a change in the tax system mid way through the year.

JUDWAA 2 has crossed 200 crore worldwide making it the first Varun Dhawan film to cross the mark as BADRINATH KI DULHANIA fell a couple of crore short with 197.50 crore. The weekly India business and Worldwide figures of JUDWAA 2 is as follows.

JUDWAA 2 collected around 1 crore nett on its third Monday to take its total to over 128 crore nett. The third wee in four days has collected a little under 8 crore nett and the week is likely to finish at around 10 crore nett plus. The film will cross the business of RAEES today.

JUDWAA 2 will end the third week with collections in the 130.50 crore nett region and normally you would assume a 134-135 crore nett finish but its two big Diwali releases this week and when this happens it leaves little business for any holdover films. The collections of JUDWAA 2 till date are as follows.

JUDWAA 2 grossed a little under 7 crore nett in its third weekend and took its total to a little over 127 crore nett in 17 days. The film did not grow much on Sunday as probably pre Diwali festivities are hitting the film. Still its a good hold though as it is only 60% down from last week.

The film will probably fall short of TOILET - EK PREM KATHA now unless the film can continue to run post Diwali. The shows will be an issue as GOLMAAL AGAIN and SECRET SUPERSTAR are likely to totally dominate the multiplexes. JUDWAA 2 is looking at another good week before the Diwali releases as it collected in the 1.50-1.75 crore nett range on its third Friday. The total of the film is around 122.75 crore nett and its likely to cross the business of RAEES in a few days time while its still hard to tell if it can beat TOILET - EK PREM KATHA which is the highest Hindi grosser of the year. It could be that the film will have to do some business post Diwali to reach TOILET - EK PREM KATHA.

Basically after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION the honors are going to be shared by TOILET - EK PREM KATHA, JUDWAA 2 and RAEES as one of these films will be top in the various circuits across the country. The way it is going it should cross RAEES on Monday to become the second highest grossing outright Hindi film of 2017. It could be that the film will have to do some business post Diwali to reach TOILET - EK PREM KATHA.

The film continues to do well in Delhi / UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and Gujarat / Saurashtra. The only poor performance is Tamil Nadu but that market has had issues over the last week or so with strikes due to taxation on films. The collections of JUDWAA 2 till date are as follows.

The film is a SUPER HIT and will either be the biggest outright Hindi Hit of the year or second to TOILET - EK PREM KATHA. As far as the NETT business goes than JUDWAA 2 stands third to RAEES (128.77 crore) and TOILET - EK PREM KATHA at 132.07 crore. It should cross the former while latter could be a photo finish.

The two week business of TOILET - EK PREM KATHA was 122.19 crore nett and JUDWAA 2 is apprx 1 crore nett less in two weeks. In the third week TOILET - EK PREM KATHA grossed 7 crore nett and in its fourth week it did two crore nett and JUDWAA 2 will have to cross the third plus fourth week of TOILET - EK PREM KATHA in week three to stand a chance as not much will come post Diwali. The collections of JUDWAA 2 till date are as follows.

The best circuit is Bihar which stands at 4.75 crore nett and will cross 5 crore nett which is the 11th highest of all time and well ahead of any other actor who debuted in the last ten years. Ranbir Kapoor with YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI managed 3.50 crore nett in 2013.

JDUWAA 2 is maintaining good pace on weekdays of its second week with collections of 2.50-2.75 crore nett on its second Monday. The film has now crossed the business of BADRINATH KI DULHANIA and TUBELIGHT to become the third highest grossing Hindi film of 2017 after TOILET - EK PREM KATHA and RAEES. This is excluding Bahubali - The Conclusion.

The job is done for JDUWAA 2 but just remains to be seen if it can beat the figures of TOILET - EK PREM KATHA and RAEES. The second week for JDUWAA 2 looks to be heading for 26.50 crore nett which will put its two week numbers at over 121 crore nett. So from here it is likely a 10 crore nett third week will enable it to cross TOILET - EK PREM KATHA. The second weekend of the film is a little less than TOILET - EK PREM KATHA but the first week was a little higher so after ten days TOILET - EK PREM KATHA has an edge of around 50 lakhs nett. JUDWAA 2 is looking at a solid second weekend as it collected 5.50 crore nett apprx on its Saturday. This has taken the business of the film to nearly 105 crore nett and will become the highest Varun Dhawan grosser within the next two days.

The film has topped 4 crore nett in Bihar and is looking to hit 5 crore nett also and this has only been achieved by around 10 films. UP is also is very strong while the little under performance has come down South but that is nearly always the case with this genre as the audience profile for Hindi films in the South is more of a gentry audience. JUDWAA 2 confirmed its SUPER HIT status on its second Friday with collections in the 3.75-4 crore nett range. The film has now grossed over 99 crore nett and will either emerge the biggest HIT of the Hindi film industry for 2017 or the second biggest HIT. This is not including BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION.

The race is with TOILET - EK PREM KATHA and at the moment after eight days the film is around 50-75 lakhs nett ahead and it remains to be seen what happens over the next 10 days or so. The collections of the film till date are as follows.

The huge failure of CHEF will help the cause of JUDWAA 2. CHEF only had a chance at those 50 odd high end multiplexes but even there JUDWAA 2 is collecting more than double of CHEF despite being on its eighth day compared to the first day of CHEF. The drop from Thursday is around 35% which is good trending considering the Thursday saw strong collections. The film is in a neck to neck race with TOILET - EK PREM KATHA to see which film emerges the biggest outright Hindi grosser of the year.

JUDWAA 2 is a SUPER HIT and has had an excellent first week of 95.25 crore nett apprx with chances to emerge the biggest hit of 2017 for the Hindi film industry. The film had very good start and then took full benefit of the holiday period and then crucially has held up strongly post the holiday period. The first week has emerged the third highest of the year after TUBELIGHT and RAEES if we dont include BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION but that does not tell the complete story as it is higher than these two films at many stations. In Delhi/UP and Bihar, even the circuit figures are the highest of the year outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. In the all time list it is the 21st highest first week of all time and in the same range as DILWALE (2015).

The job for the film was done over the holiday period but it was important to hold well after the holidays if it was to really go on and put up a big number and that is what has happened. The film now look set to rack up good numbers till Diwali. The film has CHEF as competition this week but this battle is Hindi cinema (JUDWAA 2) versus foreign cinema disguised as a Hindi film (CHEF) so in reality its not really competition as Hindi cinema is far superior for the Hindi film audience.

The second Friday number will give an idea of its lifetime business and although its a clear run it has to go past TOILET - EK PREM KATHA in three weeks as then the Diwali films will come and JUDWAA 2 will not add much after week three.

JUDWAA 2 put held up strong on its first working day with collections of 7.50 crore nett apprx. This has taken the total collection of the film to just under 84 crore nett. This hold on Tuesday means the film is set for a strong run till Diwali. The chance is there to be the highest outright Hindi grosser of 2017 depending on that crucial hold on second Friday. TOILET - EK PREM KATHA which is the highest grosser of 2017 grossed around 94 crore nett in its first week and this film will probably end up with a little more than that. The film is doing its best business in UP, Bihar and Central India markets after the holiday period and it is these markets which will lead now. The film has done the best business in multiplexes of A centres like Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore etc and it is this business which is crucial for a major hit.

JUDWAA 2 put up another very strong day with 18 crore nett apprx coming on the holiday for Gandhi Jayanti which has taken the total of the film to over 76 crore nett. The collections of the film were higher than day one and the drop was less than 20% from Sunday. The share of the film is already around 40 crore in just four days which is fantastic and HIT business but now the holiday period is over so you still need to hold well enough to have a good run till Diwali. The business is huge in Delhi/UP with around 18 crore nett in four days and Bihar is phenomenal though the final figures for Monday are yet to come. The collections of JUDWAA 2 over the first four days are as follows

There will be a drop in collections today (Tuesday) and will be a bit more than if it was the normal first working day as the film has consumed so much business over the first four days but after the drop it should settle again and take advantage of the weak competition coming this week.

JUDWAA 2 had an excellent second day as collections look to be in the 20.25 crore nett range which takes the business of the film to over 36 crore nett. The film had a very good first day and was boosted by partial holidays in some places so despite it being a holiday for Dusshera on Saturday you would have had doubts for this type of 25% plus growth but it has come through in a big way. The first day collections of the film had beaten the first day of JAB HARRY MET SEJAL and the second day has beaten the second day of TUBELIGHT and both these films are far bigger than JUDWAA 2.

JUDWAA 2 looks set to be a winner which is rarity this year and it will be the collections on Tuesday that will confirm this. The collections of the film are excellent in practically every circuit across India. Mumbai circuit which was on the lower side on Friday due to it being last day of Navratri has shown huge gains on Saturday. Delhi/UP is fantastic and East Punjab also showed big gains on Saturday. West Bengal is the biggest plus for the film due to the holidays there, this would have been weakest circuit but in two days it has done excellent business. Bihar is continuing its record breaking run. In two days in Bihar it has done business which is same as four days of TUBELIGHT  and one week of JAB HARRY MET SEJAL.

The Sunday collections will possibly be affected a little by the cricket match but it should be another big day and then there is the holiday for Gandhi Jayanti on Monday which should also be very good for collections.

JUDWAA 2 has had an excellent weekend as collections went over 58 crore nett for the weekend. Even if we take out the holiday factor the film would still have easily crossed 50 crore nett. The holidays have probably boosted it by 4-5 crore nett. The trend over the weekend was also very good as it even managed to show growth after the holiday on Saturday. The performance of the film has been outstanding in Bihar and West Bengal and some of this is to with Durga Puja there. Delhi/UP is also huge as the weekend alone has gone to 13.50 crore nett. There is a holiday for Gandhi Jayanti on Monday and collections will be strong and it will be Monday that everything will be back to normal. A fair hold there will confirm just the second HIT of this quarter and then the second Friday will tell where this film can go. In terms of weekends it is the fourth highest this year and the 19th highest of all time.

JUDWAA 2 has had a very good first day as it grossed 15.75 crore nett on day one. This is the fourth biggest opening day of the year after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, TUBELIGHT and RAEES. In some places the film has been boosted by holidays but in others it has been negatively affected by Navratri and even a big release SPYDER down South. This film in South has not done well but its taken screens time away from JUDWAA 2. All in all its a very good first day and the highest for any Varun Dhawan solo starrer. The collections of BADRINATH KI DULHANIA earlier this year were 11.69 crore nett and this film is nearly 4 crore nett higher.

The best business for the film has come in Delhi/UP which may cross 4 crore nett as the state of UP has recorded fantastic collections. East India is a huge boost for the film as West Bengal have been the weakest circuit but the holidays for Durga Puja have given a huge boost in that circuit. It is the entertainment factor and that has done the trick. Although the content is the normal commercial comedy genre it had a fresh look and the audience has come to the theaters in a big way. Now it is down to the film to hold at these levels. It is a holiday for Dusshera on Saturday but the film has benefited from holidays in some places already on Friday so that huge holiday boost will be difficult but in some circuits it could make good gains.
