Jersey collects 15.50 cr in 4 days

JERSEY took a hit on Monday as it collected around 1.50-1.70 crore nett. The drop is 57% which is just too big a drop for a film that did not open. The film had to collect 3 crore nett on Monday or more to stand a chance to get some collections in the second week but it has only done half of that.
The total collections of JERSEY are now 15.50 crore nett and the first week is looking to close at around 19.50 crore nett. Then the two Eid releases will come and there will not be much collections there after. The film has faced rejection mainly as the film does not have much scope with mass audience while that audience in the metros which this film may have got before the pandemic is probably less now in numbers as the pandemic changed viewing habits.
This could change in the future but at the moment, if a film does not work in core Hindi belts, then box office numbers are looking difficult to come by.
The collections of JERSEY till date are as follows.
Friday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 5,15,00,000 apprx
Monday - 1,60,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 15,50,00,000 apprx

JERSEY did low business in its first weekend collecting just 14 crore nett. There was growth on Saturday though which gave some hope though it was very metro centric growth which needed a follow up from centres outside metros on Sunday which did not happen.
The film just could not collect in mass pockets be it Maharashtra, Gujarat or MP. The best collections came in NCR and bigger cities of Punjab. KGF - CHAPTER 2 was there for the mass states but that is not the reason why collections were low in these pockets. Its more to do with the zone the film is in and these types which are relying on the second and third day audience to propel them are finding it tough going post the pandemic.
JERSEY needed Monday to be close to Friday or preferably higher to stay in the race but that is going to be pretty much impossible after the collections on Sunday hardly showed any growth.
The first weekend collections of Jersey are as follows.
Friday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 5,15,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 13,90,00,000 apprx
