JAZBAA grossed 21 crore nett in its first week. The film had managed to show good growth on Saturday but could not consolidate on Sunday and although the Monday drop was of a normal level the weekdays continued to fall. The film had to have strong weekdays which may have enabled it to take advantage of limited competition this week.

That did not happen and so it will be a tough ask to get numbers in week two. The film has done better in Mumbai with around 8 crore nett which is 38% of the all India business (BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN the biggest hit of the year was 28%). This is the case for all the director's films be it the SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA or SHOOTOUT AT WADALA and even his older films like KAANTE or MUSAFIR.

The business in Delhi/UP was around 4.50 crore nett while East Punjab was very dull with 1.90 crore nett and the likes of Rajasthan and CI also did not perform.

JAZBAA had a 50% approx drop from Friday. The  drop was bigger in North but Mumbai circuit held up better. The weekend business of JAZBAA is as follows.

The film will gross around 21.50 crore nett in its first week and it's weekday falls will determine what it can do in second week. There is not much competition but JAZBAA can only benefit if it sustains in weekdays.

JAZBAA had a low weekend business of around 14.35 crore nett but the trend was pretty good on Saturday. There was a limited follow through on Sunday as the cricket match affected the business of films running so it will down to Monday with a strong hold needed. The best business was easily in Mumbai with 5.25 crore nett. Delhi/UP grossed around 3 crore nett while East Punjab was around 1.40 crore nett. The weekend business is similar to films like MARDAANI and NH10.

JAZBAA grossed 3.75 crore nett apprx on day one. The film is dependent on word of mouth as are all films with female protagonists and its fate will depend on the business it does on Saturday. The film has mainly done business in Mumbai and Delhi/UP with other circuits performing lower.

The film will pick up on Saturday and show growth but it will depend on how much growth it is. These type of films can easily show 20-30% growth on Saturday which has become the the norm today but here the growth will have to be more towards the 50% range if the film is to really have a run at the box office and hold well on the weekdays.

The plus for the film is no big competition next week but to take advantage of that, the big growth on Saturday is a must.
