JAWAN became the top collecting film again despite being deep into its sixth week as the film has already almost collected this week as it did last week. It is now heading comfortably for a double digit number in week six.

This also probably means that JAWAN will be the top holdover film this week when GANAPATH releases which means that there is still a little a little gas left in the tank. The holds that film has seen in South for the Hindi version are incredible as the collections continue to come and this is after smashing all the initial records in the books down South for Hindi films. Bengaluru has never seen such collections for a Hindi film and is still going super strong.

Saturday - 1,50,00,000 apprx

JAWAN (Hindi) worldwide numbers stands at 1050 crore plus at present which now comfortably beats the PATHAAN record of 1013 crore even though overseas numbers will remain a little less than PATHAAN. It will be a $46 million apprx finish for the film and eventually it has closed the gap on PATHAAN as the first weekend itself was almost $5 million down.

The film is beating the numbers of PATHAAN in many of the smaller circuits in overseas but the only main one to beat is Gulf while Australia is looking at a photo finish with JAWAN around $40k down at the moment. But this will be hard to cover in the coming days. The main difference in overseas is UK where that market alone is looking to be £1.25 million less even though the £3.1 million likely finish of JAWAN is itself a fantastic number.

The collections in all formats are at 1130 crore as the regional versions contribute well in India with 80 crore which no other Hindi film has even got close to. The overseas number are a challenge as its difficult to see these sort of figures outside Shah Rukh Khan films.

JAWAN had an outstanding sixth weekend of  8 crore nett which which is the highest sixth weekend ever beating the week six numbers of all films except URI and PATHAAN. The highest sixth week ever is the 11.50 crore nett of URI . Despite JAWAN getting such a huge number up in the sixth weekend it is unlikely to reach the record sixth week total as collections will be low on the weekdays.

The film has managed to collect as much as PATHAAN did over the whole sixth week in just three days and the PATHAAN collection itself was extraordinary. The sixth week collections of JAWAN should get into double digits which will be the second time in history that is happened.

JAWAN continued to smash more records as it collected 4.75 crore nett on National Cinema Day which was the sixth Friday of the film. No film has even collected 2 crore nett on the sixth Friday in the history of cinema and here JAWAN managed to collect almost 5 crore nett.

Of course, the record has come due to National Cinema Day but the fact that collections of JAWAN have come out a little better than FUKREY 3 and MISSION RANIGANJ, despite being in week six, is a feat. It will be interesting if the film can continue to be the top film through the week.

The collections on the sixth Friday should ensure that the collections in week six are pretty much similar to week five. This also happened with PATHAAN as that collected in the 8 crore nett range in week five and week six.
