Krrish star Hrithik Roshan buys two apartments spread over 38,000 sq ft and three floors in Juhu; The apartments on the 14th, 15th, and 16th floors of a building on Juhu-Versova Link Road offer an uninterrupted view of the Arabian Sea
Vallabh Ozarkar and Varun Singh (MUMBAI MIRROR; October 25, 2020)
Superstar Hrithik Roshan has splashed out a shade under Rs 100 crore for two apartments spread over three floors on the Juhu-Versova Link Road.
One of the two apartments is a penthouse with which the actor, who will be seen next on the big screen in his family’s super-hero franchise Krrish, is likely to integrate the other.
While the apartments aren’t quite the Iron Man Tony Stark’s sea cliff house, they are together spread across 38,000 sq ft – that is forty-six 800 sq ft flats -- and offer an uninterrupted view of the Arabian Sea. The apartments come with a 6,500 sq ft open-to-the-sky terrace and an exclusive lift. The Roshans will also have access to ten parking slots in the building.
The building in which this mansion-in-the-air is located is called Mannat and the deal, worth Rs 97.50 crore to be precise, was closed on Thursday.
Property documents accessed by Mumbai Mirror reveal that the actor carried out two different registrations with the builder Samir Bhojwani – one for the duplex and the other for the second apartment. He paid Rs 67.50 crore for the duplex, which is spread over 27,534.85 sq ft on the 15th and 16th floors of the building. For the other apartment, that measures 11,165.82 sq ft on the 14th floor, Hrithik paid Rs 30 crore. He paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.95 crore for the registration of the apartments.
Bhojwani’s representative refused to comment on the sale, but a broker from Bandra, who was privy to the deal, said Hrithik had finalised the purchase almost a month ago.
The Roshans in June 2020 rented an apartment in Juhu’s Prime Beach building at Rs 8.25 lakh-a-month. A message sent to the actor’s public relations manager yielded no response.

Actor’s family home in Lonavala is under construction; a sizeable part of the plot devoted to organic-farming
Hiren Kotwani (MUMBAI MIRROR; March 20, 2020)
Several B-Town actors own a holiday home or a farmhouse outside Mumbai. While Akshay Kumar has a villa by the beach in Goa, Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan are owners of farmhouses in the far suburbs of Karjat and Panvel respectively.
The latest addition to this A-list is Hrithik Roshan. The 46-year-old actor’s extensive property in Lonavla is currently under construction and is expected to be ready by the year-end. According to a source close to the development, the Roshans had purchased the five-seven acres of land on the city outskirts a few years ago. “The idea was not only to build a spacious bungalow, with at least four bedrooms, but also amenities like a gym and a swimming pool,” informs the source.
When the family was considering either Lonavala or Khandala for the real estate purchase, the source reveals that it was Hrithik who suggested acquiring a bigger plot so they could devote a considerable area to organic-farming and they zeroed in on this property.
Almost 80 per cent of the construction is complete. Soon after, work will begin on the interiors. Simultaneously, the farm is being readied for the next monsoon. “Rakesh ji (Roshan, Hrithik’s filmmaker father) regularly visits the site during weekends to check on the progress. Once in a while, Hrithik also drives down to the property. He has shown active interest in the farm,” the source adds.
Ajay cultivates organic fruits and vegetables on his Karjat farm and so does Nana Patekar, who has a farm in Khadakvasla near Pune. Dharmendra often shares pictures and videos from his Lonavala property on his social media and Jackie Shroff often takes off to his own retreat near Pune, where he has a 44,000 square-feet organic garden.
Hrithik Roshan walks every day from his parents house to his own apartment

The actor enjoys a stroll every day from his parents’ home to his own
Deepali Singh (DNA; November 18, 2016)
Last year, Hrithik Roshan moved out of his parents’ house to a sea-facing apartment in Juhu, but that doesn’t mean the actor has stopped being in touch with his parents. In fact, he does so on a daily basis. HR, who is a fitness freak, visits his parents every single day as he still uses the gym at their house.
And to do that, he walks every day from his parents’ home situated in a high-rise behind Amitabh Bachchan’s bungalow to his own beachside apartment in Prime Beach building, which is also home to Akshay Kumar.
Juhu’s leafy bylanes are home to some of the biggest movie stars including the Bachchans, the Roshans, Deols, Ajay Devgn among others and the residents are no strangers to B-Town actors taking a walk or a stroll there. And now, they get to see the Kaabil actor, too. The walk to and from his parents’ house allows him two things — one, he gets to bond with his parents and two, it also gives him an opportunity to simply enjoy the joys of walking down the roads of Juhu, an area he grew up in.
HR confesses, “Oh, I have started to love my walks from dad’s home to mine. Besides it being the best fitness exercise one can get, it also gives me a chance to take in details of everyday life as I walk. It literally keeps me grounded.’’
Bollywood stars are flaunting new addresses

A number of Bollywood actors are moving homes. For some, it's about privacy while others are moving out of their parents' homes and seeking independence
Rachana Dubey (BOMBAY TIMES; November 14, 2016)
There's a major 'shift'
happening in Bollywood, especially among young stars. Over the past two
years, several actors have changed their addresses. Very soon, a few
more names will get added to the list.
For example, Alia Bhatt has recently moved out of her parents' home and shifted into a swanky apartment, along with elder sister Shaheen. As soon as he finds some time off from his busy schedule, Varun Dhawan will move into a flat in the same building as his parents in Juhu. Sushant Singh Rajput's new bachelor pad, we hear, is quirky, quiet and tastefully done up. Ranbir is also in the process of doing up his new home. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra, we hear, is busy scouting homes in America, since hers might be a long stay off shores.
Their reasons may vary but most of Bollywood's young brigade is flaunting new addresses. BT gives you an update...
RANBIR KAPOOR
The Kapoor boy moved out of his parents' Pali Hill bungalow, Krishnaraj, into a sea-facing duplex at Silver Sands Building on Carter Road (Bandra), along with his then girlfriend Katrina Kaif. However, after their break-up, he abandoned their love-nest to find solace in an apartment owned by his parents in a building called Wits End on Hill Road (Bandra). When Rishi and Neetu Kapoor moved in after Krishnaraj was razed, Ranbir shifted to his grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor's house at Deonar. Soon, he'll move into his bachelor pad in a building called Vastu, which is a few minutes away from where Krishnaraj stood. Even that is likely to be a temporary arrangement. It's widely believed that when Krishnaraj is ready for occupancy, he'll go back home to mom and dad.

PARINEETI CHOPRA
Parineeti started searching for her dream home in 2014. After checking out over a dozen properties across the length and breadth of the city, she finally opted for a spacious sea-facing flat at Quantum Park, off Carter Road, in 2015. Before moving into the flat, located in the same building as Preity Zinta's, she had occupied homes on rent in Andheri. But when shooting in Andheri and nearby areas, she shifts to a rented place in the locality.

HRITHIK ROSHAN
Soon after his divorce from Sussanne Khan, Hrithik moved out of his parents' home at El Palazzo in Juhu. He is currently staying at Prime Beach Apartments, a few minutes away from where Rakesh and Pinky Roshan live. The beach-facing house, which was under renovation for more than a year, was done up in parts by John Abraham's architect brother and an American firm.

SHAHID KAPOOR
The actor had been house-hunting for more than a year before he finalised a flat at Praneta building in Juhu. It's spacious with a living room and sun-deck on the ground floor, and bedrooms and other private spaces underneath. Shahid, who was staying just a floor away from his father Pankaj Kapur in Versova's Raj Classique, moved into his swanky new pad in early 2015, a few months before he got married to Mira Rajput. While the current residence is no doubt Sasha's dream home, it is more than a mile away from where his dad resides.

ALIA BHATT
Alia has moved into her own flat recently. Located above a quaint coffee shop, it's just a few minutes away from her parents' (Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt) Silver Beach Apartments home in Juhu. The house has been decorated by director Vikas Bahl's former wife Richa Dubey, with plenty of inputs from Soni. It was picked looking at the space and privacy issues faced by Alia at her parents' home.

PRIYANKA CHOPRA
PeeCee began to hunt for an independent home two years ago. The decision to move out of her parents' home in Raj Classique (Versova) came soon after her dad's demise. It took her a year to zero in on a home befitting her star status at Karmayog Apartments, Juhu. The building is tucked inside a quaint lane and offers a beautiful view of the city's landscape. However, the new house hasn't changed anything for the actress. Priyanka loves being around family. We hear, mommy, Dr Madhu Chopra often stays with her in the new pad. There are also reports of her looking for a home in the US, where she is currently shooting for a thriller series. Way to go!

SONAM KAPOOR
If everything goes as planned, Sonam could soon move into her plush duplex at Bandra Kurla Complex. The actress picked the unlikely location for privacy reasons. Signature Island, abode to the rich and famous, is located close to the American consulate, which keeps it away from prying eyes. The hitch: daddy Anil Kapoor is not too keen on his daughter leaving. Also, being a family girl, she might not want to leave the warmth of her parents' Juhu bungalow.

ANUSHKA SHARMA
Although she has a great-looking pad in Andheri, we hear, even Anushka is toying with the idea of changing homes. Apparently, she plans to move into a plush building, midtown. We don't know yet if cricketer Virat Kohli, will share the Worli pad with her.

SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT
Break-ups can prove costly. Sushant Singh Rajput is a case in point. The actor, who shared an apartment with girlfriend Ankita Lokhande in Malad, moved out of it bag and baggage after their break-up. He now stays at Little Heights building, Bandra. Before zeroing in on the flat, he reportedly spent many days in a plush hotel suite.
KATRINA KAIF
The actress, who was residing at Guldev Sagar Apartments (Bandra), moved into Silver Sands with Ranbir. While Ranbir left after the relationship ended, Kat stayed on. A few months ago, there were rumours that she was looking for a new home, but nothing seems to have happened on that front.

DNA Exclusive: Inside pictures of Hrithik Roshan’s new home

Take a long look at snapshots from the actor’s new bachelor pad in the city
DNA (August 3, 2016)
Actor Hrithik Roshan’s sea-facing apartment in Juhu,
Mumbai is inspired by the sea, his travels and family, as revealed in
the cover story for Casa Vogue, the second edition of the annual design
and architecture supplement of Vogue magazine, out this month.
“Building this home was really about discovering myself. I wanted to
explore what would manifest on the outside if I go purely by what I felt
inside,” Roshan Jr says.
The home has a bachelor pad-meets-family home aesthetic. In the den adjoining the living room, for example, there’s a foosball table, a billiards table and a vending machine that dispenses chocolates. It has the actor’s work desk spilling over with bound scripts and books on moviemaking but also life-size graffiti by Daku—who Shah calls the Banksy of India—on a wall where movies are projected on weekends. The all-white bar in the far corner of the living room might spell ‘bachelor pad’ but taking pride of place right beside it is a moveable wall grid with portraits shot by Bharat Sikka of Roshan and and his sons Hrehaan (10) and Hridhaan (8) in all kinds of costumes. Architect Ashiesh Shah, who has designed the star’s home talks about the thought behind it, what the actor wanted and the quriky things in the house.
What was your design brief?
Hrithik called me and said he’d seen Katrina Kaif’s new home in Bandra (which I’d done) and loved it. He said he wanted that vibe too. I got to work. We went about part by part, we did a few changes, we reoriented a few things and then we started working on the lifestyle aspect… How he would actually live in the space.
Exactly. We needed the space to function differently at different times… to go from bachelor pad to family home. So when the children are not around he could use it to entertain friends and when the kids are around it becomes a family home. So it had to function as a fully-equipped home but still have that independent bachelor studio feel. To balance that, we needed to work on lending a duality to the space. That’s why we have a lot of moveable elements. So you can pull down the screen in the den when you want to watch a movie and at other times, it’s a graffiti wall.
How does the space transform?
It has automations which have been designed to suit different moods. For example, it has lighting at different levels. From the ground-level lighting to the mid-level. I prefer during evenings to keep it lit at a ground-level zone.
There are these funny and philosophical quotes spread around the house, whose idea was this?
All Hrithik’s! He is a poetic soul. Many have even been written by him. I got my studio staff to work on creating these custom pieces. We put quotes in frames, on hidden corners of the wall, on pebbles in the terrace-garden… we kind of played around to give it meaning and personalise it. Also, we made his family photographs a moveable wall grid, so you can keep adding or subtracting from it.
Where was majority of the furniture shopping?
We made a couple of expeditions to Dubai to stores like Aati, Nautica and The One for the large furniture pieces. And many others were bought from his former sister-in-law’s home store, Simone, and stores such as Bungalow 8, Good Earth and Le Mill. The souvenirs and smaller accent pieces are from his travels, like the exquisite driftwood-and-acrylic stools from the French brand Bleu Nature or the delicate corals.
Tell us about a Hrithik quirk…
He loves to pick up curios on his travel. The boys’ bathroom is entirely done up with things he picked up on holiday in Maldives. He’s also really into his gizmos.
Was Hrithik a tough client?
Hrithik is not about the brand. He is about the aesthetic. If he likes the aesthetic, if he thinks it fits in the moodboard, he’s all green. He knew exactly what he wanted so it was easy to work with him: clean, masculine, structured. He was also very proactive and would send us emails 24/7, often attaching references of things he’d seen and liked.
Hrithik Roshan shifts to his new bachelor’s pad in Akshay Kumar's Juhu building?

Grapevine is abuzz that Hrithik Roshan has finally moved into his plush, sea-facing flat in Juhu that he had taken on rent last year. It is the same building where Akshay Kumar currently resides with
two children.
Says a source, “Hrithik decided to move out of his parents’ house after his divorce and shift to a third floor flat in Prime Beach, Juhu. He did a small puja in mid- January, but he didn’t get the chance to stay there as he was busy shooting Mohenjo Daro in Gujarat. He finally moved in last week and is staying alone. Akshay stays in the same building.”
Another source close to the actor says he redid the interiors and the renovation work took about a couple of months. “He house, right from his clothes to household utilities. Since all that is done now and he is back in town, he has moved into his bachelor’s pad. The rent agreement is for a period of three years,” the source adds.
Hrithik remained unavailable for comment.
