HOUSEFULL 4 will end its run at the box office this week with collections a little over 205.5 crore nett. The film had a 8-9 week stay in the theatres which is a good run for a film which was called a disaster on release. The film is a historic grosser in Gujarat/Saurashtra only behind GOLMAAL AGAIN in that circuit.

The film has also done well Overseas with collections of $6.8 million. This figures is actually in the same range as HOUSEFULL 2 and  HOUSEFULL 3 but those films had a release in Pakistan. The film is easily the best of the HOUSEFULL series in US/Canada and Australia and by a decent margin in Gulf while United Kingdom is less than HOUSEFULL 2 by a margin. The final worldwide figure of the film is 295 crore which is the highest for an Akshay Kumar film beating the 278 crore of MISSION MANGAL and the 268 crore of 2.0 (Hindi).

The film has set an all time record (non BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION) in Surat with collections of 7.25 crore nett so far which is the highest collection ever in the city for an outright Hindi film. The film has huge numbers in most cities of Gujarat but Surat is at another level. Ahmedabad which is the biggest city in Gujarat collected less than films like GOLMAAL AGAIN, PK, TIGER ZINDA HAI, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and even SANJU but Surat was better than all these films.

HOUSEFULL 4 is heading for a 1 crore nett plus fifth week as it collected around 80 lakhs nett in four days of the fifth week. The film had a strong first three weeks but has seen a drop in the last two weeks due to a drop of screen space.

The film is closing on the 80 crore nett mark in Mumbai which is easily the best circuit for the film due to the huge business in Gujarat/Saurashtra. KABIR SINGH did 87.21 crore nett, URI was 84.11 crore nett and War was 77.42 crore nett. HOUSEFULL 4 is at 79.80 crore nett and there is a little more to come as almost 50% of its all India business is from Mumbai/Gujarat now. The total business of the film is 205 crore nett till date and it looks a 206 crore nett finish for the film making it the 16th highest NETT grosser ever.

The film is nearing the 100 crore nett mark and should hit by the end of the weekend but the legs don't seem to be there to go much further. The best business for the film will come in Delhi/UP while mass centres will do similar business to LUKA CHUPPI even though the all India business will be higher than that film. The total collections so far are 203 crore nett plus and it should end the week at around 204 crore nett. There is a drop in week four with collections down 75% plus while the drop in the third week was around 66%.

The film is a SUPER HIT film and the fourth biggest HIT of the year after KABIR SINGH, WAR and URI. The only thing that remains to be seen is that can the film beat the NETT collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN which is the top comedy film. But this drop in week four and PAGALPANTI coming this week, which is for the same crowd, may make it tough as it will be on limited cinemas in week four.

HOUSEFULL 4 had a big drop in collections on the fourth Friday as it collected 40-50 lakhs nett and has now basically done its business. The film finally came down in Gujarat/Saurashtra on the fourth Friday but is already the fourth highest grosser ever in the circuit and will probably end on the  third position. Mumbai circuit will finish at 75 crore nett plus due to the huge business in Gujarat/Saurashtra. MISSION MANGAL had done 65 crore nett and 2.0 (Hindi) did 57 crore nett in Mumbai. The top grosser this year is KABIR SINGH at 87 crore nett.

The film is still super strong in Gujarat/Saurashtra as it was even matching the new release BALA at some theatres on Sunday despite being in third week. It will be third highest grosser ever in Gujarat after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and GOLMAAL AGAIN. HOUSEFULL 4 showed growth of 40% on Saturday and it should have been more but the film was hit by the Ayodhya ruling as those mass centres are among its better collecting areas. HOUSEFULL 4 had a drop on its third Friday as it lost screens due to the release of BALA with 2 crore nett on its third Friday. But it still looks on course to become the highest comedy grosser in terms of NETT collections as 205 crore nett is in sight for the film if the normal Saturday and Sunday growth comes. The film did not grow as much as it should have last week but was coming off a holiday period and that is not the case here.

The film is a BLOCKBUSTER in Gujarat/Saurashtra as it continues with excellent business with 40 lakh coming on its third Friday which is 20% of its all India numbers when normally it is 10%. The film is going to do its best business in Mumbai which may well finish at 70 crore nett plus while Delhi/UP will probably finish around the 35 crore nett plus mark. The film is course to be the highest grossing comedy in terms of NETT collections and will need just a normal hold on the third Friday to get there. The GROSS numbers of GOLMAAL AGAIN are a tough task while footfalls will not be reached. It has already beaten the GOLMAAL AGAIN numbers in some circuits and will do so in all circuits by the end of its run except Mumbai.

The film will do over 30 crore nett in terms of lifetime numbers which has only been done by BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, GOLMAAL AGAIN, PK and BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN. It could finish the third highest collecting film of all time in the circuit after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and GOLMAAL AGAIN. Although Gujarat has an extended period you still need the film to work to put up big numbers as that can be seen by THUGS OF HINDOSTAN last year when there was big out performance in Gujarat.

The film is certain to be the highest Akshay Kumar grosser and will probably achieve that in the third weekend and the lifetime will depend on the next two weekends. The film is a HIT and could emerge a SUPER HIT if it continues to collect well over the next 2-3 weeks.

The drop is around 30% from Friday but that Friday number had a 50 lakh apprx boost from Gujarat/Saurashtra as it was in a holiday period. Even after the extended holidays in Gujarat/Saurashtra it has held very well there with collections of 65-70 lakhs nett on its second Monday. East Punjab and Gujarat/Saurashtra have a similar all India ratio but East Punjab was doing just 55% of the business of Gujarat/Saurashtra on the second Monday.

The holds were strong all over and the metros have also settled now after the drops at the end of last week. The film is looking to collect around 50 crore nett in the first week and is sure to be the highest grosser of Akshay Kumar and the next two weeks will determine were the film will eventually go.

The target for the film is probably the NETT numbers of GOLMAAL AGAIN and if it can beat that, then it will become the highest grossing comedy film in terms of NETT collections. But this will depend on the business over weekend three and weekend four and if the drops are in 60-65% or better then it will get there.

But the collections are very low and it has no chance of getting close to its first week business which was a must for the film in week two. The film has a second weekend total of 18 crore nett in two days which will mean a second weekend bigger than the second week of most films this year.  The total collections of the film are 155 crore nett and Mumbai circuit will hit 60 crore nett in ten days while Delhi/UP will be a little over 30 crore nett but that is because of the dull business in Delhi/UP over the first three days due to pre Diwali.
