GOLMAAL AGAIN recorded an excellent second week of 45.75 crore nett and took its two week total to around 181.50 crore nett. The film is the biggest hit of 2017 and only blockbuster of 2017 from the Hindi film industry and it looks like the film is heading for the 200 crore nett mark but the third Friday (today) is crucial. There is competition from ITTEFAQ and THOR: RAGNAROK but the film has held its shows very well despite two new releases.

The film had around 6200 screenings across India in week two and in week three is maintaining 4200 screenings from around 1200 screens which gives its a good chance of a healthy third week and a chance to get closer to the 200 crore nett mark. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One- 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 45,75,00,000 apprx
Grand Total - 1,81,68,00,000 apprx

The film is around the 78 crore nett in Mumbai which is already the highest ever Diwali figure in Mumbai beating the 70 crore nett of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO. The film may not be among the top five highest grossing films in India but in Mumbai circuit that is a possibility with the target being the 86 crore nett of SULTAN.

GOLMAAL AGAIN is keeping pace with hardly any drop on its second Tuesday as it collected in the 4 crore nett range. This has taken the business of the film to a huge 175 crore nett and the second week will be around 46 crore nett and may finish among the top ten highest second week of all times..

The film is ever getting closer to the 200 crore target and it will be this Friday that will determine if it is going to get there or not. In Mumbai circuit it looks like it may be among the top five or six highest grossing films of all time. The business in North is less but considering how the previous GOLMAAL films did in North then this has performed much better. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
First Week - 1,35,93,00,000
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Second Week - 38,75,00,000 apprx (5 Days)
Grand Total - 174,68,00,000 apprx

GOLMAAL AGAIN grossed 4 crore nett on its second Monday to cross the 170 crore nett mark. The film dropped around 40% from its second Friday. The second week business is on course for 45-46 crore nett which will give it a two week total of around 181 crore nett.

It will be by far the highest second week of the year outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. Then on Friday it will face competition with ITTEFAQ and THOR: RAGNAROK but that should not affect it beating PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO which is the highest grossing film on Diwali but for a 200 crore nett figure it cannot afford to drop more than 70% in week three. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
First Week - 1,35,93,00,000
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Second Week - 34,75,00,000 apprx (4 Days)
Grand Total - 170,68,00,000 apprx

The film has crossed 30 crore nett in Gujarat/Saurashtra when barring BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and RAEES no other film has even crossed 15 crore nett this year.

GOLMAAL AGAIN had a very strong weekend of around 31 crore nett and took its lifetime total to over 166 crore nett. The film is a BLOCKBUSTER and is heading to be the highest grossing film ever on Diwali and the only question that remains is that will it have the legs to cross the 200 crore nett mark. This target will be very much dependent on the business in the third week.

The second WEEKEND business of GOLMAAL AGAIN is higher than the second WEEK of all the outright Hindi films released this year. TOILET - EK PREM KATHA had the highest second week collections at 28 crore nett apprx.
First Week - 1,35,93,00,000
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 30,75,00,000 apprx
Grand Total - 166,68,00,000 apprx

GOLMAAL AGAIN is being driven by Mumbai circuit which looks to be heading for an 80 crore nett apprx total though the Gujarat/Saurashtra belt will be completely back to normal today (Monday) which could see the circuit slow a little bit from now on.

GOLMAAL AGAIN grossed an excellent 11 crore nett apprx on its second Saturday to take its total to 153 crore nett. The film is the first BLOCKBUSTER of 2017 for the Hindi film industry and now it is pretty certain that the film will become the highest grossing Diwali film in terms of NETT collections ever as it will go past the 194 crore nett of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO even on a worst case scenario.

It could also become the first Diwali release to breach 200 crore nett but that is going to be dependent on how the third week holds as ITTEFAQ and THOR: RAGNAROK release.
First Week - 135,10,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 11.00,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Grand Total - 153,10,00,000 apprx

The second weekend will comfortably cross the 30 crore nett mark and the way it is going its second week will be more than the first week of the competition film released on the same day SECRET SUPERSTAR. Basically the commercial potboiler has the content and sustains while the so called content film is unable to sustain.

GOLMAAL AGAIN has emerged the first first BLOCKBUSTER film of 2017 as it collected in the 7 crore nett range on its second Friday. It has taken almost ten months for the Hindi film industry to deliver that elusive blockbuster film. This takes the total business of the film to around 142.10 crore nett. The film could be on its way to 200 crore nett but that will be dependent on the collections next week as there will be some competition at the box office then. The drop is just 20% apprx from Thursday which is excellent for a film which has collected so well in the first week..

The film is also looking to be biggest Diwali grosser ever as if it does fall short of 200 crore nett then the 194 crore of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO looks sure for the film though it will be the growth tomorrow (second Saturday) that will confirm as the film still has holiday affect at a few stations and the growth on Saturday may not be as huge as normal on the second weekend.

GOLMAAL AGAIN is already the highest grossing comedy film of all time as it has beaten the figures of READY (2011) and if we look at the highest ticket rate inflated grossing comedy film since 1994 then it is BIWI NO 1 at around 185 crore nett and GOLMAAL AGAIN is almost certain to beat that. So all in all it will be one of the highest grossing comedy films even if we take into account ticket rate inflation.
