GOLMAAL AGAIN had a huge first week as it grossed 135 crore nett which is the tenth highest first week collection of all time. It has managed to do strong business all over but is best in Mumbai circuit with business close to 55 crore nett in the circuit.

The weekend of the film was huge though it could have been more if it got multiplex shows at the rate of 70-30 which it should have got due to its wider appeal instead of the 50-50 it got when released. The collections held very strong on Monday and then the weekdays saw higher than normal drops as the Gujarat/Saurashtra area which is extraordinary for the film came off the holiday period. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.

It is already the biggest HIT of 2017 for the Hindi film industry and now it is second Friday which will decide if the film will become that elusive first BLOCKBUSTER film of 2017.

GOLMAAL AGAIN remained over 10 crore nett on Wednesday as it grossed 10.50 crore nett apprx. The total so far of the film is a huge 127 crore nett. There may seem a drop in collections but most places are steady and the drop is mainly in Mumbai as Gujarat comes off its extended holiday period. The drop in Mumbai circuit alone was around 1.50 crore nett while other places showed the normal weekday drops.

The first week is looking to be around 136 crore nett plus and then it will be about the Friday number which will give a better idea to where the film is going and all things will be equal by then as there will be no the holiday period will be over across the board. The business in Mumbai circuit has crossed 50 crore nett in just six days. Delhi/UP is around 25 crore nett.

GOLMAAL AGAIN had very good collections on Tuesday as it grossed around 13.25 crore nett apprx. The drop is around 15% from Monday which is a little bit more than normal but that is because some part of the country is coming out of holiday season every day. It will not be until Friday when things are back to normal.

There will be another drop today as Gujarat comes it is extended Diwali holiday but it will still be a partial holiday in the circuit till Friday. The main thing the trend is strong in places like Delhi city and Punjab which have no holiday benefit and are as normal. These places were steady on Tuesday. The first week should go to around 137 crore nett but it depends on the drops in Mumbai circuit over the next two days as that circuit is doing 45-50% of the all India business at the moment due to the Gujarat/Saurashtra belt.

GOLMAAL AGAIN had a very strong hold on Monday as it collected in the 15-15.50 crore nett range. The hold in Mumbai was fantastic as Gujarat has extended holiday period in Gujarat. The film has already become the highest grossing (outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION) film in Mumbai circuit of 2017 in juts four days. The four day total of the film is around 103 crore nett.

Mumbai is extraordinary due to Gujarat but the rest of the country has also held well. If we take the fair value collections of day one which was a huge national holiday, then other circuits drops also range at around 45% on average. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.

The film is likely to see higher than normal drops over the weekdays as this Gujarat factor comes out of the equation but it should be able to go over 135 crore nett for the first week which would make it the highest outright Hindi grosser of the year.

GOLMAAL AGAIN has had a huge weekend with first weekend collections of 87 crore nett. The film was released on a national holiday which grossed around 30 crore nett but what is more important is how well it sustained post this holiday at these high levels. The film has stayed in the roughly the same range post the holiday showing a very negligible fall.

The film did start getting extra screens at multiplexes from Saturday as it was performing better than SECRET SUPERSTAR which had a 50% share of screens at major multiplexes on Friday and this helped the film on Saturday and Sunday. The film is phenomenal in Mumbai circuit taking in close to 35 crore nett over the weekend which is extraordinary considering RAEES at 41 crore nett has the best lifetime total this year after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. The other circuits have also done very well and now its on Monday to see if the film can actually become the first real big grosser of the year as far as outright Hindi films are concerned. GOLMAAL AGAIN is creating havoc all over as it grossed 28.50 crore nett on its second day and took its two day business to 58 crore nett plus. These may not be the highest collections of all time but the occupancy across India over the first two days is on par with BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION (Hindi version). The second day fall is just a little more than 5% and it was coming off a huge holiday.

The film is a commercial potboiler but it is held up better than the content film SECRET SUPERSTAR on a Saturday which is the day for the likes of SECRET SUPERSTAR. This pretty much tells the story as to how well the film is doing. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.

The collections are huge across India barring Tamil Nadu/Kerala with Gujarat/Saurashtra leading the way with phenomenal figures. The second day was a partial holiday so Sunday will not have the normal Sunday growth, it could even drop a little but still it is a huge weekend for the film and the biggest of the year if we take into account outright Hindi films only.
