GOLMAAL AGAIN had its biggest weekly drop till date as the film fell 75.53% in week five compared to week four. The film grossed 1.25 crore nett in week five and the total so far is 204 crore nett plus. The film has set all time records in centers like Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and many others in Gujarat. The only main center of Gujarat where the all time record did not come was Baroda. It is likely to get close to the 205 crore nett. It stands eight in the all time list of NETT grossers with another Rohit Shetty directed film CHENNAI EXPRSS at 207.69 crore nett in front of it but it has little chance to reach the figures of CHENNAI EXPRESS. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,87,00,000
Week Three - 14,98,00,000
Week Four - 5,11,00,000
Week Five - 1,25,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 2,04,14,00,000 apprx

GOLMAAL AGAIN and JUDWAA 2 had really given hope in the industry for a big finish to the year with PADMAVATI and TIGER ZINDA HAI but with PADMAVATI now out of the picture for sometime its upto TIGER ZINDA HAI to finish the year on a high note.
-----------------------------
GOLMAAL AGAIN grossed 70-75 lakhs nett in its sixth week to take its total to around 205 crore nett in six weeks. It is almost at the end of its run with probably just another 25-30 lakhs nett coming in the next couple of weeks. It is the highest grosser of the year in seven of the 13 circuits but these seven are the core Hindi film audience.

The distributor share of the film will cross 100 crore to be around 101 core but this is still lower than PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO if we compare the films released on Diwali. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,36,01,00,000
Week Two - 46,87,00,000
Week Three - 14,98,00,000
Week Four - 5,10,00,000
Week Five - 1,24,00,000
Week Six - 70,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 2,04,90,00,000 apprx

GOLMAAL AGAIN dropped for the first time since it opened on Diwali with low collections of 75 lakhs in the fifth weekend. The film is looking at a drop of 75-80% from the fourth week. Still the film could get an extended run now that PADMAVATI has been postponed but collections will be very low.

The film has beaten the business of the three previous GOLMAAL films put together. The combined business of the previous three films is 188.50 crore nett. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,87,00,000
Week Three - 14,98,00,000
Week Four - 5,11,00,000
Week Five - 75,00,000 apprx (3 Days)
GRAND TOTAL - 2,03,64,00,000 apprx

ITTEFAQ managed to have some collections in the third weekend though the film has not really held after the first weekend. It is looking at a finish of 27.50 crore nett. The business of ITTEFAQ till date is as follows.
Week One - 20,84,00,000
Week Two - 5,39,00,000
Week Two - 60,00,000 apprx (3 Days)
TOTAL - 26,83,00,000

GOLMAAL AGAIN had its first noticeable drop after four weeks of its run as collections were down to around 13-15 lakhs nett on its fifth Friday. The film had a big drop in screens as it went down to around 300 screens and say a drop of around 75% which has not happened till date.

The job is more than done for the film and is the biggest hit of the year and there will be huge growth on Saturday so it is still looking a finish in the 205 crore nett region. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,87,00,000
Week Three - 14,98,00,000
Week Four - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Week Five - 15,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 2,02,93,00,000 apprx

GOLMAAL AGAIN grossed 5 crore nett in its fourth week which is the third best fourth week collection of the year after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and HINDI MEDIUM. The film has now collected around 202.75 crore nett to become the ninth highest NETT grosser of all time.

The Gross collections at 259.75 crore are still behind films like 3 Idiots and PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO which keeps it out of the top ten in terms of actual box office receipts. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,87,00,000
Week Three - 14,98,00,000
Week Four - 5,00,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 2,02,78,00,000

The film will become the fifth highest grossing film in Mumbai circuit this weekend. The next best circuit is Bihar where it will finish the 8th highest grossing film of all time. In South and West Bengal it will remain below RAEES due to the Shah Rukh Khan factor. So if we take out BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION then GOLMAAL AGAIN tops in most circuits while 3 to 4 are in favour of RAEES.

GOLMAAL AGAIN is still running well and looks set for business of around 5 crore nett in week four. The film will be become the ninth highest grosser ever in a few days with another Rohit Shetty directed film CHENNAI EXPRESS in eighth place with 207.69 crore nett.

That figure seems out of reach with GOLMAAL AGAIN likely to finish with collections of 204-205 crore nett. The film can get in the top five of all time in Mumbai and needs another 1 crore nett apprx to get there. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,72,00,000
Week Three - 14,84,00,000
Friday - 60,00,000
Saturday - 1,10,00,000
Sunday - 1,60,00,000
Monday - 40,00,000
Fourth Week - 3,70,00,000 (4 Days)
GRAND TOTAL - 2,01,19,00,000

GOLMAAL AGAIN grossed around 3.25-3.50 crore nett its fourth weekend to take its total collection to over 200 crore nett to around 200.75 crore nett. The film will become the ninth highest grossing film of all time but it is Mumbai circuit where the real figures have come and there the numbers are up there with the 300 crore nett grossers and looks set to beat SULTAN in that market. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,72,00,000
Week Three - 14,84,00,000
Friday - 60,00,000
Saturday - 1,10,00,000
Sunday - 1,60,00,000
Fourth Weekend - 3,30,00,000
GRAND TOTAL - 2,00,79,00,000

SECRET SUPERSTAR added another 1 crore nett in its fourth weekend and is now coming to the end of its run and may add another 1 crore nett or so for a finish of 62.25 crore nett. The collections of SECRET SUPERSTAR till date are as follows.
Week One- 41,16,00,000
Week Two - 14,09,00,000
Week Three - 5,02,00,000
Friday - 20,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 35,00,000
Sunday - 50,00,000
Fourth Weekend - 1,05,00,000
GRAND TOTAL - 61,32,00,00,000

GOLMAAL AGAIN had its biggest week on week drop with collections down 75% but its still going to manage a run for another 2-3 weeks. The fourth Friday collections were 50 lakhs nett apprx. It seems heading for a lifetime total of around 203 crore nett which would make it the ninth highest nett grosser of all time. In terms of GROSS figures it will be 10th or 11th. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,72,00,000
Week Three - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Week Four (Friday) - 50,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 1,97,90,00,000

SECRET SUPERSTAR is low on its fourth Friday but has still managed some collections. The film is looking at a close of 62 crore nett plus. The collections of SECRET SUPERSTAR till date are as follows.
Week One- 41,16,00,000
Week Two - 14,09,00,000
Week Three - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Week Four (Friday) - 20,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 60,45,00,000
-----------------------------------------------
GOLMAAL AGAIN has now crossed 199 crore nett and will reach the 200 crore nett mark today to become the first 200 crore nett film on Diwali. OM SHANTI OM in 2007 was the first film to cross 50 crore nett and GOLMAAL 3 in 2010 was the first to cross 100 crore nett and then KRRISH 3 in 2013 crossed 150 crore nett. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,72,00,000
Week Three - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Friday - 60,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,10,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 1,99,10,00,000

SECRET SUPERSTAR has gone to 60.75 crore nett as it almost doubled its collections on its second Saturday. The collections of SECRET SUPERSTAR till date are as follows.
Week One- 41,16,00,000
Week Two - 14,09,00,000
Week Three - 5,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 20,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 35,00,000
GRAND TOTAL - 60,80,00,000

GOLMAAL AGAIN had another solid week of 14.75 crore nett apprx taking its total collections to 197.50 crore nett. The film should reach the 200 crore nett mark on Sunday and although now 200 crore nett has been done a few times but what makes it different for GOLMAAL AGAIN is that it is a first for a Diwali release as no film has touched 200 crore nett with a Diwali release. If we take out BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION then its the Eid and Christmas films that have crossed 200 crore nett which means that GOLMAAL AGAIN is the first 200 crore outright Hindi film outside an Eid or Christmas release. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,72,00,000
Week Three - 14,75,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 1,97,40,00,000

SECRET SUPERSTAR grossed 5 crore nett apprx in week three to take its three week total to 60 crore nett plus. The film has been eclipsed totally by GOLMAAL AGAIN but the race was not really against GOLMAAL AGAIN but find appreciation in hold at the box office. But as the audience did not care much for the film then it was hardly going to hold at the box office.
Week One- 41,16,00,000
Week Two - 14,09,00,000
Week Three - 5,00,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 60,25,00,000

GOLMAAL AGAIN has emerged the highest NETT grossing Diwali release of all time as it crossed the 194.30 crore nett of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO with a figure of 195.50 crore nett apprx in nineteen days. The GROSS figures are still short of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO though. The film will be the first 200 crore nett Diwali film. Diwali is still not reaching the levels of Xmas or Eid as the combined business of GOLMAAL AGAIN and SECRET SUPERSTAR will be around 265 crore nett but films be it solo or two releases have gone past 300 crore nett on Eid and Xmas..

It would have been interesting if GOLMAAL AGAIN was the only Diwali release as could it by itself gone higher than 265 crore nett or the 2 crore odd footfalls it has got was its total audience and a solo release would have made little difference. This is something that will never be known but the fact is Diwali has some catching up to do and maybe THUGS OF HINDOSTAN next year will make Diwali catch up. Below is a list of the top ten highest grossing Diwali releases.
1. Golmaal Again (2017) - 195.50 crore apprx (19 Days)
2. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015) - 194.30 crore
3. Happy New Year (2014) - 178.41 crore
4. Krrish 3 (2013) - 175.83 crore
5. Ra. One (2011)- 113.95 crore
6. Golmaal 3 (2010)- 108.06 crore
7. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016)  - 106.40 crore
8. Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) - 101.59 crore
9. Son Of Sardaar (2012) - 88.68 crore
10. Shivaay (2016) - 84.83 crore

The biggest blockbuster on Diwali since 1990 onward remains DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE which has an adjusted ticket price nett gross of around 475 crore nett. This is followed by RAJA HINDUSTANI and KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI at 400 crore nett and 350 crore nett respectively.

GOLMAAL AGAIN is looking set for a third week total of 14.50-15 crore nett which will mean a three week total of 197.50 crore nett. The film has had a very strong since release and is looking to finish around the 205 crore nett mark which will make it the first film to cross 200 crore nett on Diwali and the the 9th highest grossing film ever.

It is easily the highest grossing film for Ajay Devgn beating SINGHAM RETURNS but for the director Rohit Shetty its unlikely to have the legs to catch CHENNAI EXPRESS at 208 crore nett. Mumbai circuit has done extraordinary business and will be among the top five of all time in the circuit. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,72,00,000
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 3,75,00,000
Sunday - 4,75,00,000
Monday - 1,25,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 1,94,40,00,000

GOLMAAL AGAIN recorded very good collections in the third weekend as it face compeition fron new releases like THOR: RAGNAROK and ITTEFAQ but it made little difference to the film as recorded weekend business over 10 crore nett with a solid Sunday of 4.50 crore nett plus. The film is now cruising to the 200 crore nett mark and will probably get there by the end of its fourth weekend or at least be very close.

GOLMAAL AGAIN will also become the highest grossing Diwali film in the next few days as it goes past the 2015 release PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO which did a little under 195 crore nett. It is going to the first time that a film will breach 200 crore nett on Diwali. Even when there have been two films on Diwali the 200 crore nett figure combined had not been reached before GOLMAAL AGAIN. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One - 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 46,36,00,000
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 3,75,00,000
Sunday - 4,75,00,000 apprx
Third Weekend - 10,50,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL - 1,92,79,00,000

GOLMAAL AGAIN looks to be heading to hit the 200 crore nett mark. The film has grossed around the 2 crore nett mark on its third Friday which is a very good considering the competition around it especially THOR: RAGNAROK which has come out of the blue. GOLMAAL AGAIN has done its job and is a BLOCKBUSTER but the third Friday keeps it in the race for 200 crore nett which has only been achieved by 9 films and GOLMAAL AGAIN will probably become the tenth to join the list. The third Friday was the crucial one as the film faced competition and it could have dropped which would have left it with little hope of 200 crore nett.

The collections of the film are around 184 crore nett and with the big growth to come over the weekend it should cross 190 by the end of the weekend. The end of the third week will see it become the highest Diwali grosser ever and the 200 crore nett mark will probably come in week four or week five or even later.

SECRET SUPERSTAR also did fair business on its third Friday at around 80-85 lakhs nett. The film has actually trended better than GOLMAAL AGAIN at the start of the third week as it has dropped 60% while the GOLMAAL AGAIN drop is around 70% but that is because GOLMAAL AGAIN was collecting at a much higher level in its second week. The collections of SECRET SUPERSTAR are now around 56 crore nett and it should cross 60 crore nett pretty comfortably.

GOLMAAL AGAIN recorded an excellent second week of 45.75 crore nett and took its two week total to around 181.50 crore nett. The film is the biggest hit of 2017 and only blockbuster of 2017 from the Hindi film industry and it looks like the film is heading for the 200 crore nett mark but the third Friday (today) is crucial. There is competition from ITTEFAQ and THOR: RAGNAROK but the film has held its shows very well despite two new releases.

The film had around 6200 screenings across India in week two and in week three is maintaining 4200 screenings from around 1200 screens which gives its a good chance of a healthy third week and a chance to get closer to the 200 crore nett mark. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Week One- 1,35,93,00,000
Week Two - 45,75,00,000 apprx
Grand Total - 1,81,68,00,000 apprx

The film is around the 78 crore nett in Mumbai which is already the highest ever Diwali figure in Mumbai beating the 70 crore nett of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO. The film may not be among the top five highest grossing films in India but in Mumbai circuit that is a possibility with the target being the 86 crore nett of SULTAN.

GOLMAAL AGAIN is keeping pace with hardly any drop on its second Tuesday as it collected in the 4 crore nett range. This has taken the business of the film to a huge 175 crore nett and the second week will be around 46 crore nett and may finish among the top ten highest second week of all times..

The film is ever getting closer to the 200 crore target and it will be this Friday that will determine if it is going to get there or not. In Mumbai circuit it looks like it may be among the top five or six highest grossing films of all time. The business in North is less but considering how the previous GOLMAAL films did in North then this has performed much better. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
First Week - 1,35,93,00,000
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Second Week - 38,75,00,000 apprx (5 Days)
Grand Total - 174,68,00,000 apprx

GOLMAAL AGAIN grossed 4 crore nett on its second Monday to cross the 170 crore nett mark. The film dropped around 40% from its second Friday. The second week business is on course for 45-46 crore nett which will give it a two week total of around 181 crore nett.

It will be by far the highest second week of the year outside BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION. Then on Friday it will face competition with ITTEFAQ and THOR: RAGNAROK but that should not affect it beating PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO which is the highest grossing film on Diwali but for a 200 crore nett figure it cannot afford to drop more than 70% in week three. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
First Week - 1,35,93,00,000
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx
Second Week - 34,75,00,000 apprx (4 Days)
Grand Total - 170,68,00,000 apprx

The film has crossed 30 crore nett in Gujarat/Saurashtra when barring BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and RAEES no other film has even crossed 15 crore nett this year.

GOLMAAL AGAIN had a very strong weekend of around 31 crore nett and took its lifetime total to over 166 crore nett. The film is a BLOCKBUSTER and is heading to be the highest grossing film ever on Diwali and the only question that remains is that will it have the legs to cross the 200 crore nett mark. This target will be very much dependent on the business in the third week.

The second WEEKEND business of GOLMAAL AGAIN is higher than the second WEEK of all the outright Hindi films released this year. TOILET - EK PREM KATHA had the highest second week collections at 28 crore nett apprx.
First Week - 1,35,93,00,000
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 10,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,25,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 30,75,00,000 apprx
Grand Total - 166,68,00,000 apprx

GOLMAAL AGAIN is being driven by Mumbai circuit which looks to be heading for an 80 crore nett apprx total though the Gujarat/Saurashtra belt will be completely back to normal today (Monday) which could see the circuit slow a little bit from now on.

GOLMAAL AGAIN grossed an excellent 11 crore nett apprx on its second Saturday to take its total to 153 crore nett. The film is the first BLOCKBUSTER of 2017 for the Hindi film industry and now it is pretty certain that the film will become the highest grossing Diwali film in terms of NETT collections ever as it will go past the 194 crore nett of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO even on a worst case scenario.

It could also become the first Diwali release to breach 200 crore nett but that is going to be dependent on how the third week holds as ITTEFAQ and THOR: RAGNAROK release.
First Week - 135,10,00,000 apprx
Friday - 7,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 11.00,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Grand Total - 153,10,00,000 apprx

The second weekend will comfortably cross the 30 crore nett mark and the way it is going its second week will be more than the first week of the competition film released on the same day SECRET SUPERSTAR. Basically the commercial potboiler has the content and sustains while the so called content film is unable to sustain.

GOLMAAL AGAIN has emerged the first first BLOCKBUSTER film of 2017 as it collected in the 7 crore nett range on its second Friday. It has taken almost ten months for the Hindi film industry to deliver that elusive blockbuster film. This takes the total business of the film to around 142.10 crore nett. The film could be on its way to 200 crore nett but that will be dependent on the collections next week as there will be some competition at the box office then. The drop is just 20% apprx from Thursday which is excellent for a film which has collected so well in the first week..

The film is also looking to be biggest Diwali grosser ever as if it does fall short of 200 crore nett then the 194 crore of PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO looks sure for the film though it will be the growth tomorrow (second Saturday) that will confirm as the film still has holiday affect at a few stations and the growth on Saturday may not be as huge as normal on the second weekend.

GOLMAAL AGAIN is already the highest grossing comedy film of all time as it has beaten the figures of READY (2011) and if we look at the highest ticket rate inflated grossing comedy film since 1994 then it is BIWI NO 1 at around 185 crore nett and GOLMAAL AGAIN is almost certain to beat that. So all in all it will be one of the highest grossing comedy films even if we take into account ticket rate inflation.

GOLMAAL AGAIN had a huge first week as it grossed 135 crore nett which is the tenth highest first week collection of all time. It has managed to do strong business all over but is best in Mumbai circuit with business close to 55 crore nett in the circuit.

The weekend of the film was huge though it could have been more if it got multiplex shows at the rate of 70-30 which it should have got due to its wider appeal instead of the 50-50 it got when released. The collections held very strong on Monday and then the weekdays saw higher than normal drops as the Gujarat/Saurashtra area which is extraordinary for the film came off the holiday period. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Friday - 30,10,00,000
Saturday - 28,50,00,000
Sunday - 29,00,00,000
Monday - 15,75,00,000
Tuesday - 13,25,00,000
Wednesday 10,00,00,000
Thursday - 8,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 135,10,00,000 apprx

It is already the biggest HIT of 2017 for the Hindi film industry and now it is second Friday which will decide if the film will become that elusive first BLOCKBUSTER film of 2017.

GOLMAAL AGAIN remained over 10 crore nett on Wednesday as it grossed 10.50 crore nett apprx. The total so far of the film is a huge 127 crore nett. There may seem a drop in collections but most places are steady and the drop is mainly in Mumbai as Gujarat comes off its extended holiday period. The drop in Mumbai circuit alone was around 1.50 crore nett while other places showed the normal weekday drops.

The first week is looking to be around 136 crore nett plus and then it will be about the Friday number which will give a better idea to where the film is going and all things will be equal by then as there will be no the holiday period will be over across the board. The collections of GOLMAAL AGAIN till date are as follows.
Friday - 30,10,00,000
Saturday - 28,50,00,000
Sunday - 29,00,00,000
Monday - 15,75,00,000
Tuesday - 13,25,00,000
Wednesday 10,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 126,85,00,000 apprx

The business in Mumbai circuit has crossed 50 crore nett in just six days. Delhi/UP is around 25 crore nett.
