FORCE 2 has flopped at the box office just like its predecessor FORCE in 2011. The first week collections of the film were 26 crore nett as the film fell badly from Monday onward after a low weekend. The first week collections are the same as FORCE (2011) so FORCE 2 will go above that film but not by much. Also its not really important as the first one had a poor collection anyway. The film has suffered from low ticket rates as multiplexes lowered rates last week due to the cash crunch. Even this week it is playing on lowered rates as compared to DEAR ZINDAGI which is on normal rates. The film has suffered due to this but not to the extent that the film could actually work if the cash crunch and lower ticket rates were not there.

The failure is down to bad content as other issues can hold the collections down but can't stop the film trending well be it at low collections. The only plus is probably that the film is not the disaster that ROCK ON 2 was last week as that was very bad content. The film may just about cross 30 crore nett in its lifetime run. The best business has come in Nizam/Andhra of around 1.75 crore nett. The Overseas is also not too good with the film just going over $1 million over the weekend

TUM BIN 2 has fared very poorly at the box office with collections around 3.50 crore nett in week one. The film is out of theatres in one week and its lifetime is less than Tum Bin released fifteen years ago.

FORCE 2 continued to drop on Tuesday with collections a little over 2 crore nett. The total so far is 23 crore nett and the week may just cross 26 crore nett. The film has already crossed the business of John Abraham's last solo film ROCKY HANDSOME and will also cross the numbers of Sonakshi Sinha's last film AKIRA soon but that is not saying much.

John Abraham had DISHOOM in between this and ROCKY HANDSOME which was okay at the box office but fared exceptionally well on television more than justifying the big satellite price of 25 crore. The target for FORCE 2 is to see if it can cross 30 crore nett but it won't go much higher than that. The five day business of FORCE 2 is as follows.

FORCE 2 had a drop of over 50% on Monday which is just not good enough after a low weekend. The collections of the film on Monday were around 2.50 crore nett. A 3 crore nett plus number was a must on Monday, preferably closer to 4 crore nett. The film has suffered due to lower ticket rates but on the other hand the public reports were not that good either. The film has fared best in Mumbai and Nizam/Andhra while Delhi city and East Punjab have under performed. The first week is looking at business of 26.50 crore nett but then DEAR ZINDAGI will take over at the major multiplexes while other multiplexes and single screens occupancy also is too low for it to expect much in week two. FORCE 2 had a low weekend of 18.50 crore nett though the trend was not too bad with some growth on Saturday and Sunday. The low starting point meant a bigger Saturday was needed which did not happen. The weekend collections are better than films like AKIRA and ROCKY HANDSOME. It has also collected 4 crore nett more than FORCE (2011) but that was five years back. The figures across all circuits were poor with Mumbai probably being the best of the lot. The weekend is low but it has a final chance to show some strength on Monday where a 30% drop from day one would still keep it with a chance. TUM BIN 2 is a poor fare with just 2.50 crore nett over the first weekend. The way this film is going it may not even do the business of TUM BIN which was released way back in 2001 and grossed 4.50 crore nett. FORCE 2 showed growth of around 15% on its second day but it had to be more as the collections in two days are still low at a little over 11 crore nett. The growth is not bad but if it had notched up 6 crore nett on day one and then showed growth from there, then it may have had a chance. A film has a big subsidy coming from Bulgaria and a 21-22 crore nett weekend would have been okay giving it a chance depending on Monday. But with this sort of trend the film will just about get over 18 crore net. The first two day business of Force 2 is as follows.
