There is not much hope for the film in week two due to the fast falling collections over the weekdays. A 25 crore nett final total is looking out of reach.

DHARAM SANKAT MEIN grossed very poorly in week one with business of 7.75 crore nett approx. The film had a decent trend on the weekend as it showed around 30% growth on Saturday and Sunday but Monday needed to be better. The collections fell further towards the end of the week leaving it little chance to have some decent showcasing in week two.

The film fared best in Mumbai city and Delhi NCR where collections were better than EK PAHELI LEELA in the multiplexes but business was extremely dull outside the Mumbai and North circuits..

The film will has fizzled out and lifetime business will find it a struggle to reach 10 crore nett.

BROKEN HORSES is an epic disaster collecting around 1 crore nett in week one. The collections overseas were also a washout making the film a complete loser with practically no recovery. DISASTER

DETECTIVE BYOMKESH BAKSHY dropped in week two grossing 5 crore nett. FLOP

The film is likely to do less business than a similar film HATE STORY 2 released last year. The business will also be just 50% of RAGINI MMS 2.

The film will finish the week at around 18 crore nett. There is a holiday in parts of the country on Tuesday which may help a little but overall the film is struggling.

DHARAM SANKAT MEIN had a decent hold on Monday grossing around 75 lakhs nett. The drop is around 35% from Friday and the film will gross around 7.50 crore nett over the week. The approx first four day business of DHARAM SANKAT MEIN is as follows.
Friday - 1,15,00,000
Saturday - 1,65,00,000
Sunday - 2,10,00,000
Monday - 75,00,000
TOTAL - 5,65,00,000

Despite the decent hold it will not cover due to very low initial but in the second week it could challenge or even do better than EK PAHELI LEELA as it has more appreciation than that film.

The film has reasonable costs but still needed a 15 crore nett approx weekend to succeed but it is well short. It now needs to hold very well on weekdays but the trend over the weekend suggest that is a difficult task.

DHARAM SANKAT MEIN had very low weekend of 5 crore nett but the trend was decent as there was 30% growth on Saturday. Obviously the film had to grow more due to the poor start but still it could have a 3-4 week run depending on the hold on Monday. If the weekend had got to 6 crore it would have made a big difference and the film would have been sure to have a good run.

The film did best at multiplexes and on Saturday and Sunday it's business was better than EK PAHELI LEELA at premium multiplexes.

The film will do well if it can cross the 1 crore nett mark on Monday but although the weekend trend is pretty good it probably is not good enough to give it that sort of figure on Monday.

BROKEN HORSES has emerged as an epic disaster with collections of 60 lakhs nett approx over the weekend. The film is supposedly made for Hollywood and is being reported as an $11 million film by the American Press thought the budget will probably be less

The film is supposedly on the lines of the 1989 film PARINDA which itself was a flop though did a bit better in Mumbai city. The film will have to score big in North America to reduce the huge losses but when the content of PARINDA failed in India, its hardly likely to appeal in the US.

BROKEN HORSES managed to get 3-4 shows at most multiplexes and with occupancies of 0-5% over the weekend its pretty certain that the film will be out of cinemas very fast. To put into perspective how disastrous the collections are is that the domestic lifetime figures will be half of PARINDA where the story comes from and that film itself was a flop and a non grosser. Also there is 25 year plus gap in both releases and BROKEN HORSES released on three times more screens.
