The upcoming film has also got a new title that embodies its theme

Sushant Singh Rajput, along with his leading lady Sanjana Sanghi, had flown to Paris in mid-January to wrap up the last schedule of their upcoming film, the Hindi adaptation of Josh Boone’s 2014 Hollywood film, The Fault In Our Stars, that kicked off in Jamshedpur last July. Earlier Kizie Aur Manny, the film has now been titled Dil Bechara.

Saif Ali Khan also joined the duo in the city of love for an interesting cameo. Reportedly, he plays the author Peter Van Houten, who in the original was essayed by Willem Dafoe. While debutant director Mukesh Chhabra is tight-lipped on details, explaining that he can’t reveal much of Saif’s character which is integral to the plot, he does admit that they shot with the actor at Quai de l’Hotel-de-ville near Montmartre where very few people have filmed earlier. “We shot in Paris for a week but Saif was only there for a few days. He gelled well with the team and we had a great time,” says Mukesh who also canned a scene at the iconic Eiffel Tower. “Shooting there was surreal and no, I didn’t make Sushant and Sanjana dance around the tower,” he laughs.

When quizzed on the change in the title, Rucha Pathak, Chief Creative Officer of Fox Star Studios, pointed out that the new title emerged as they were completing the shoot. “A R Rahman, who is composing the music, shared a vibrant and fun number, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. When we heard the song, we found our title in it. It perfectly embodies the theme of our film,” she says.

Mukesh adds that the earlier title was a combo of the names of Sushant and Sanjana’s characters. “But in retrospect we felt that viewers would only connect with it after watching the film while Dil Bechara is self-explanatory and people will instantly relate to it,” he maintains.

"Had I known Kunal would propose, I would've at least got a manicure" - this is how Soha Ali Khan reacted after we called to congratulate her on her engagement to Kunal Kemmu. Said Kunal, “We broke the news on social media anyway as we didn't want any speculation as people would have seen the rings. It happened one evening in Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower."

Kunal further added that he wanted the proposal to be a private moment. Soha elaborated, “I was not prepared. Bhai was in London and Amma in Delhi before this happened and none of them suspected anything like this. Funnily, I was expecting him to propose on my birthday last year. It didn't happen then. I wish I'd known about it now as I would have at least got a manicure."

He also explained what prompted him to take the step. “We were not pressurised by either our family, or our friends. We've been together for five years and I always knew Soha was the one. I got a hint a few months back from an interview where she was asked about marriage and she said 'He hasn't proposed!'" Finally , on the marriage, the actor jested, “What marriage? I thought I just bought myself another couple of years!"

Sharmila Tagore's wish to see her daughter Soha Ali Khan happily married will soon come true. After living-in with long-time boyfriend Kunal Kemmu, Soha, like brother Saif before her, has finally taken the conventional route to matrimony.

The actress announced this on Twitter on Wednesday: "It gives me great happiness to share with you all that Kunal proposed to me in Paris with the most perfect ring in the world and I said 'yes'."

Her buddy, Neha Dhupia, was one of the first to congratulate her. Neha tweeted: "@sakpataudi wow that's the best news ever! Congratulations, now come back sooon u both... Yes @kunalkemmu ur one hellluva lucky guy!"

The couple has returned from Paris. A visit to the plush apartment complex in Khar where they have been living together for the last two years revealed this.

A friend of Kunal's told Mirror that the two had first flown off to London where Soha's brother Saif is currently filming Kabir Khan's Phantom. "Paris was not on their schedule then. They holidayed in London for a few days, then decided to extend their vacation and took off to Paris," he said.

Soha and Kunal have been dating each other for five years now. Her mother had first met her beau on the sets of the film 99. He was wearing a bathrobe and Sharmila wasn't impressed. But she slowly warmed up to the actor as did the rest of the family.

When Mirror contacted Saif, he said from London, "We are very happy. I am deeply fond of Kunal and he is already a part of our family. They make a lovely couple. As soon as he slipped the ring on, Soha called both amma and me with the good news. The wedding date has not yet been finalised but Pataudi will be one of the venues, I'm guessing." Pataudi was the venue for Saif and Kareena's wedding too.

Kunal's father, Ravi Khemu had told a section of the media recently, that the couple had his blessings whenever they decided to get married.

However, the bride-to-be played it elusive. When asked about D-day, Soha texted back, "Ha ha, we have bought ourselves another few years."

Despite her airy dismissal, Soha is extremely possessive about Kunal. She had once stated, "Watching someone you like, romancing another person on screen is never fun. I do get jealous but I don't show it. Even Kunal gets jealous when I romance another actor."

Soha's friend, fashion designer Manav Gangwani, is likely to design her trousseau. He said, "I am very happy for Soha and Kunal. We haven't discussed outfits yet, but yeah, when it happens, I shall make something special for her."

The couple had informed their families prior to the announcement. Soha called her mother Sharmila Tagore and older sister Saba in Delhi, to inform them. Soha’s brother Saif is in London shooting for Phantom along with Katrina Kaif. Says a source, “When Soha told him Kunal had proposed, Saif was very happy. Katrina too congratulated the couple.”

Sharmila, when contacted, says, “I am very happy about it. I knew before she tweeted about it. The wedding, whenever it happens, won’t be held lavishly at Pataudi. It will, instead, be a small wedding at Kunal and Soha’s home in Mumbai with only immediate family in attendance as that is their wish.”

Soha and Kunal have been in a live-in relationship for some time. They met while shooting for Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge (2009), became friends but fell in love while working for 99. Since then both have been inseparable. Soha and Kunal have even been on holidays with Saif, Kareena, Sharmila and Saba.
