DRISHYAM 2 scored a huge fourth week of 18.25 crore nett which is the fifth highest fourth week in history after URI, BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, KGF - CHAPTER 2 and TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR. The drop in the fourth week is just a little over 40% which is a fantastic trend though its unlikely to continue to trend like this due to the huge competition in the form of AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER.
The film has almost reached the 210 crore nett mark in four weeks and the lifetime will be dependent on where the fifth Friday lands. It is likely to remain the third highest grosser post pandemic for original Hindi content after THE KASHMIR FILES and BRAHMASTRA, and second highest grosser if we count the films where the box office has come in a normal and organic way.
Mumbai circuit continues to be fantastic as the film has collected around 85 crore nett so far which is a huge number. Delhi/UP stands at around 39 crore nett which is also excellent for a film in this zone.

DRISHYAM 2 collected 1.65 crore nett on its fourth Monday as it heads for fourth week of 18 crore nett plus. This will be a huge fourth week total and the fifth highest of all time after URI, BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION, KGF - CHAPTER 2 and TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR. There will be two Ajay Devgn films in the top five as far as fourth week box office records are concerned.
The collections of the film till date are 205.50 crore nett and the film should have over 208 crore nett at the end of the week and it remains to be seen what comes after. If the present weekly trend continues, the film is going to collect over 225 crore nett but that is unlikely as AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER and CIRKUS will release over the next two weeks.
The fourth week collections of DRISHYAM 2 will be comfortably ahead of the likes of DANGAL, KABIR SINGH, PADMAAVAT and RRR (Hindi).

DRISHYAM 2 scored a huge fourth weekend of 12.50 crore nett which is only second to KGF 2 post pandemic. KGF - CHAPTER 2 had collected around 13.50 crore nett over its fourth weekend but collections of DRISHYAM 2 are better than KGF - CHAPTER 2 on Saturday and Sunday.
The film has now taken its total to around 204 crore nett and the fourth week will probably come out to be among the top five of all time. It will be the dubbed blockbusters BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION and KGF - CHAPTER 2 and URI along with TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR which will be better.
The lifetime business of the film will depend on what happens when AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER releases on Friday. The drops are likely to be bigger in week five though the film still should collect well in Mumbai circuit even after AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER.

DRISHYAM 2 had extraordinary collections again on Saturday as on its fourth Saturday, it collected 4.50 crore nett and this will be a post pandemic record as KGF - CHAPTER 2 (Hindi) was just under 4.50 crore nett at 4.42 crore nett. The final collections of DRISHYAM 2 may well go upto 4.6-4.65 crore nett as it is running riot in Maharashtra and Gujarat. This has also taken the collections of the film to 198 crore nett.
The Saturday again was generally good as holdover releases like BHEDIYA and AN ACTION HERO also doubled up though the new releases had growth which was more muted. The best collecting new release SALAAM VENKY is likely to be up by 50-60% which would make its collections 20 lakhs on Friday and 30 lakhs plus on Friday.
The box office story in the last quarter has been about DRISHYAM 2 and it has sustained collections like no other post the pandemic as in the fourth week, its competing with the biggest grossers.

DRISHYAM 2 again has taken advantage of weak competition as it collected in the 2.25 crore nett range which is a little higher than Thursday. This is mainly because of no competition. This takes the collections of the film to 193.50 crore nett and it will cross the 195.50 crore nett number of SOORYAVANSHI on Saturday and be second to BRAHMASTRA post pandemic for original Hindi films with organic collections.
The 230 crore nett total of BRAHMASTRA (Hindi) is out of reach now as its very unlikely that DRISHYAM 2 will not maintain this 45% weekly drop range when AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER releases. It is probably looking at a number of 215-220 crore nett which is more than good and extraordinary in terms of the box office scenario today.
The fourth Friday collections of the film are second only to KGF - CHAPTER 2 post pandemic as that film collected 3.75 crore nett was in that post Eid period. The film is now collecting better than RRR (Hindi) on a daily basis so the fourth week collections should emerge higher than that film.

DRISHYAM 2 recorded the ninth highest third week on record and third highest post pandemic after the big South dubbed films KGF - CHAPTER 2 and RRR. It is the highest post pandemic third week for original Hindi content. It is the first original Hindi film to cross 30 crore nett post the pandemic though the likes of BRAHMASTRA and THE KASHMIR FILES were close.
There are only eleven films to collect more than 30 crore nett plus in third week and its the ten below plus PADMAAVAT. Despite these huge third week numbers, Ajay Devgn still has a bigger third week with TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR but that is down to Maharashtra as in all other areas DRISHYAM 2 is better. Maharashtra along with Gujarat is also the best performer for DRISHYAM 2 but TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR was at a different level and on par with BAHAUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION in the state and better than the likes of KGF - CHAPTER 2 and DANGAL.
The collections of DRISHYAM 2 are better than TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR in Gujarat, Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan, CI as well as the Eastern markets and that is the running total as well as third week.
