DREAM GIRL had the sixth best second week of the year as it collected an excellent 37.75 crore nett. This takes the film to around 108 crore nett in two weeks. The drop in the second week was just 46%. The second week collections are a little less than CHHICHHORE.

The film should hold strongly on third Friday as there's hardly any release of note but the week will also be cut short as WAR releases on Wednesday and that film is sure to take a big start and dominate the box office. Regarding the trend it seems like DREAM GIRL should go on and beat the numbers of BADHAAI HO but the obstacle of WAR might prove too big and it the final figures remain lower than BADHAAI HO. BADHAAI HO had collected 27.69 crore nett from a 61.17 crore nett first week 97 days) which is a bigger drop than DREAM GIRL and at lower levels.

DREAM GIRL collected 3.25 crore nett on its second Tuesday to take its total to 101.62 crore nett. The second week collection of the film is heading to 37.50 crore nett wich will be a lesser second week than CHHICHHORE. The film has raked up business of 28 crore nett in Delhi/UP and and 12 crore nett in East Punjab and these two are the best markets. In these two territories it should beat CHHICHHORE but the rest of India looks tough.

The film should cross $4 million in Overseas as US/Canada has done well but other markets are so so. The film is challenging the lifetime number of BADHAAI HO in India but Overseas it is well off as BADHAAI HO did business of $6.7 million which is impossible for DREAM GIRL. Also last year, RAAZI, STREE and BADHAAI HO all had 1 crore footfalls in India but both DREAM GIRL and CHHICHHORE may miss out.

DREAM GIRL continued with its strong run on Monday as it collected 3.50 crore nett and took its total to 98.50 crore nett apprx. The second week business of the film is heading towards 38 crore nett which is an excellent number for week two.

The only thing that remains to be seen is whether the film can beat BADHAAI HO in NETT collections. The gross numbers and footfalls will remain lower for sure. Also whether it is a bigger HIT than CHHICHHORE but even though the film has a 4 crore nett lead if we compare the first 11 days it will probably fall short of that film as its run will be cut short when WAR releases which is set to open to huge numbers. Even to reach BADHAAI HO it will need some numbers after week three. This is the difference dates and competition make as if this film would have released on CHHICHHORE date and vice versa then this would have finished ahead. The appreciation is very similar for both films.

DREAM GIRL had an excellent second weekend as it recorded collections of 24.75 crore nett is the fourth best second weekend of the year after KABIR SINGH, URI and MISSION MANGAL. Last week CHHICHHORE had recorded the fourth best weekend third weekend and now DREAM GIRL has beaten it by a small margin.

The ten day number of the film are almost 95 crore nett and it remains around 4 crore nett ahead of CHHICHHORE which was at 91 crore nett at the same time. DREAM GIRL is a SUPER HIT film but the target it chases are that of BADHAAI HO to become the biggest NETT grosser of Ayushmann Khurana. The GROSS numbers it will not be able to reach. Also CHHICHHORE is the fourth biggest HIT film of the year and if DREAM GIRL can cross the business of that film then it can become fourth. The top three are KABIR SINGH, URI and MISSION MANGAL.

DREAM GIRL jumped around over 75% on its second Saturday to collect 9 crore nett and taking its nine day total to almost 84 crore nett. The film is following a very similar pattern to CHHICHHORE in its second weekend last week. The collections for second Friday and Saturday are almost ditto for both films.

The film continues to be strongest in Delhi/UP with collections nearly touching 25 crore nett and a big Sunday to come and in this circuit it can beat CHHICHHORE even though this circuit is also the best one for CHHICHHORE.

DREAM GIRL was excellent on day eight with collections of 5-5.25 crore nett on its second Friday. The drop is just a little over 10% as there was little competition for the film barring the holdover CHHICHHORE. The film remains the number one film at the box office.

The film is now a SUPER HIT film and looks to be going the CHHICHHORE way. The film was around 3 crore nett higher than CHHICHHORE after the first week and day eight business is similar to CHHICHHORE which means that the second week should also be the similar to CHHICHHORE give or take a little. So basically after two weeks it will be better than CHHICHHORE but then it wont have a clean third week like CHHICHHORE as WAR will release mid week and this is one of the biggest releases of the year if not the biggest.

The total collections of DREAM GIRL are now almost 75 crore nett and it should clear 90 crore nett at the end of the weekend.
