DREAM GIRL held continued to maintain well with collections of 6.50 crore nett on Wednesday which takes the six day collections to 64 crore nett. The seven day numbers of CHHICHHORE were almost 67 crore nett. The first week is heading for collections of 70 crore nett apprx.

The North Indian markets are leading the way and Delhi/UP will be finishing the first week very close to 20 crore nett. Delhi NCR and the bigger multiplexes of UP have all done excellent business. The second Friday will determine the lifetime business of the film and it will have to do similar or more than the second Friday of CHHICHHORE if it is to come out with better lifetime collections than that film.

CHHICHHORE last week held at the 7 crore nett range on the weekdays barring when it got a boost for a holiday on Tuesday and this film can do the same. The way this film is going it will take over the lifetime collections of ARTICLE 15 within a week and ANDHADHUN in eight days though the film is not certain to reach the BADHAAI HO total. The competition is weak in terms of new releases this week so Friday should see a strong hold.

DREAM GIRL collected very well in its first week with collections at almost 70 crore nett which is nearly the lifetime figure of a film like ANDHADHUN. The film started with a good opening and held very well post Monday. There are three new releases today but all are word of mouth films which means DREAM GIRL is the dominant film in terms of screen space.

The collections of the film in Delhi/UP are excellent in the first week with the film almost touching 20 crore nett. In this circuit it has collected more than TOTAL DHAMAAL, GULLY BOY and SUPER 30 in the first week and these films had more face value.

DREAM GIRL has also collected better than the SUPER HIT film CHHICHHORE released a couple of weeks back but that film held up very well in week two and it remains to be seen if DREAM GIRL can stay ahead of that film and do as well in week two. The first week numbers ensures a HIT film and it will be a SUPER HIT if it has even a decent hold in week two.

DREAM GIRL crossed the 50 crore nett mark in four days as it held up very strongly on Monday with collections of 7.25 crore nett. The first week collections of the film should go very close to 70 crore nett with around 68-69 crore nett coming.

The collections are a little less than the Monday of CHHICHHORE but that film had a holiday the next day which helped evening collections so on fair value the Monday of DREAM GIRL is better than CHHICHHORE. The film is fantastic in Delhi NCR and mass circuits like Rajasthan and CI also held very strong with drops of just 15%.

The disappointment is Gujarat/Saurashtra especially considering its a comedy as the circuit likes comedy film. The drop in Gujarat is not big but the film is not really collecting. The film is a HIT and it will be the second Friday which will tell if the film can be a SUPER HIT or better.

DREAM GIRL did fantastic business in its first weekend of around 43.50 crore nett driven by the markets of Delhi/UP and East Punjab which recorded excellent numbers. Delhi/UP hit 5 crore nett on Sunday and East Punjab crossed 2 crore nett mark and these are numbers that very few films have managed to hit on the Sunday this year.

The rest of the country also saw good numbers with the weak spots being Nizam/Andhra and Gujarat/Saurashtra though the latter may be strong in the long run like CHHICHHORE which has done better in the second weekend in the Gujarat area.

The weekend collections are 8.50 crore nett more than last week's CHHICHHORE and if this sort of gap remains at the end of the week then this film will also be a SUPER HIT film.

DREAM GIRL will be a huge winner as it showed growth of 70% on Saturday to collect 16 crore nett and the film took its two day total to 25.50 crore nett. The weekend collections have a chance to hit  45 crore nett. This is the first time that an Ayushmann Khurrana film has seen respectable collections in places like CP Berar, CI and Bihar. These places cant be called great but are posting good numbers for a film that does not have much face value for these parts. The growth in these areas is very good on day two.

The Friday to Saturday growth is the best of the year as below are the films which had best growth among the bigger releases.

Super 30 - 53%

The growth on Saturday is a little better than CHHICHHORE on Saturday and if this film trend like that film from Monday onward then it will do phenomenal business and cross many of the bigger releases this year. The collections of DREAM GIRL for the first two days are as follows.
