DREAM GIRL collected 4.50 crore nett in week four which is a big drop from the third week but that was always likely due to the release of WAR. The film has so far collected 134 crore nett plus and it could continue to collect till the release of HOUSEFULL 4 on Diwali.

The film has no chance to beat the numbers of CHHICHHORE but it will cross the numbers of BADHAAI HO which just a few lakhs ahead at 134.46 crore nett but the GROSS numbers of BADHAAI HO will remain far ahead and that film was also a bigger hit Overseas. DREAM GIRL should be able to add 2-4 crore nett business from here on.

It looked like DREAM GIRL could also chase down the CHHICHHORE number but that film is going to stay well ahead as that film is heading towards a 145 crore nett finish.

DREAM GIRL had a drop in collections on Monday as it collected 1.75 crore nett and took its overall total to 125 crore nett. The third week business in four days is 16.50 crore nett and the week may hit 20 crore nett but it may not go much further due to release of WAR on Wednesday

The film is sure to stay below the numbers of CHHICHHORE which will finish above 140 crore nett and it will also stay below the 135 crore nett of BADHAAI HO as its hard to see the film doing much business after the third week.

CHHICHHORE collected 15.15 crore nett and DREAM GIRL is on 9.25 crore nett after two two days. Even a flat Sunday will see it beat the CHHICHHORE numbers.

CHHICHHORE is extraordinary in the fourth weekend as it looks set to record the third best fourth weekend of all time. The film will beat KABIR SINGH if the Sunday numbers come in as expected. KABIR SINGH collected a little under 10 crore nett in the fourth weekend and CHHICHHORE will beat that even if Sunday is flat.

The collections of the film are just 30% down from last Friday and even with a shortened week the film could add 20 crore nett plus in week three.

This takes the film to over 111 crore nett and it will record excellent collections on Saturday and Sunday. There's a good chance that this film will cross the collections of BADHAAI HO now though it will have to do some business post the release of WAR on Wednesday. The film has chances to cross BADHAAI HO but will not be able to the business of CHHICHHORE.

DREAM GIRL had the sixth best second week of the year as it collected an excellent 37.75 crore nett. This takes the film to around 108 crore nett in two weeks. The drop in the second week was just 46%. The second week collections are a little less than CHHICHHORE.

The film should hold strongly on third Friday as there's hardly any release of note but the week will also be cut short as WAR releases on Wednesday and that film is sure to take a big start and dominate the box office. Regarding the trend it seems like DREAM GIRL should go on and beat the numbers of BADHAAI HO but the obstacle of WAR might prove too big and it the final figures remain lower than BADHAAI HO. The second week collection of the film is heading to 37.50 crore nett wich will be a lesser second week than CHHICHHORE. The film has raked up business of 28 crore nett in Delhi/UP and and 12 crore nett in East Punjab and these two are the best markets. In these two territories it should beat CHHICHHORE but the rest of India looks tough.

The film should cross $4 million in Overseas as US/Canada has done well but other markets are so so. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether the film can beat BADHAAI HO in NETT collections. The gross numbers and footfalls will remain lower for sure. Also whether it is a bigger HIT than CHHICHHORE but even though the film has a 4 crore nett lead if we compare the first 11 days it will probably fall short of that film as its run will be cut short when WAR releases which is set to open to huge numbers. Even to reach BADHAAI HO it will need some numbers after week three. This is the difference dates and competition make as if this film would have released on CHHICHHORE date and vice versa then this would have finished ahead. DREAM GIRL had an excellent second weekend as it recorded collections of 24.75 crore nett is the fourth best second weekend of the year after KABIR SINGH, URI and MISSION MANGAL. Last week CHHICHHORE had recorded the fourth best weekend third weekend and now DREAM GIRL has beaten it by a small margin.

The ten day number of the film are almost 95 crore nett and it remains around 4 crore nett ahead of CHHICHHORE which was at 91 crore nett at the same time. DREAM GIRL is a SUPER HIT film but the target it chases are that of BADHAAI HO to become the biggest NETT grosser of Ayushmann Khurana. The GROSS numbers it will not be able to reach. Also CHHICHHORE is the fourth biggest HIT film of the year and if DREAM GIRL can cross the business of that film then it can become fourth. The top three are KABIR SINGH, URI and MISSION MANGAL.

DREAM GIRL was excellent on day eight with collections of 5-5.25 crore nett on its second Friday. The drop is just a little over 10% as there was little competition for the film barring the holdover CHHICHHORE. The film remains the number one film at the box office.

The film is now a SUPER HIT film and looks to be going the CHHICHHORE way. The film was around 3 crore nett higher than CHHICHHORE after the first week and day eight business is similar to CHHICHHORE which means that the second week should also be the similar to CHHICHHORE give or take a little. So basically after two weeks it will be better than CHHICHHORE but then it wont have a clean third week like CHHICHHORE as WAR will release mid week and this is one of the biggest releases of the year if not the biggest.

DREAM GIRL held continued to maintain well with collections of 6.50 crore nett on Wednesday which takes the six day collections to 64 crore nett. The seven day numbers of CHHICHHORE were almost 67 crore nett. The first week is heading for collections of 70 crore nett apprx.

The North Indian markets are leading the way and Delhi/UP will be finishing the first week very close to 20 crore nett. Delhi NCR and the bigger multiplexes of UP have all done excellent business. The second Friday will determine the lifetime business of the film and it will have to do similar or more than the second Friday of CHHICHHORE if it is to come out with better lifetime collections than that film.

CHHICHHORE last week held at the 7 crore nett range on the weekdays barring when it got a boost for a holiday on Tuesday and this film can do the same. The way this film is going it will take over the lifetime collections of ARTICLE 15 within a week and ANDHADHUN in eight days though the film is not certain to reach the BADHAAI HO total. The competition is weak in terms of new releases this week so Friday should see a strong hold.

DREAM GIRL collected very well in its first week with collections at almost 70 crore nett which is nearly the lifetime figure of a film like ANDHADHUN. The film started with a good opening and held very well post Monday. There are three new releases today but all are word of mouth films which means DREAM GIRL is the dominant film in terms of screen space.

The collections of the film in Delhi/UP are excellent in the first week with the film almost touching 20 crore nett. In this circuit it has collected more than TOTAL DHAMAAL, GULLY BOY and SUPER 30 in the first week and these films had more face value.

DREAM GIRL crossed the 50 crore nett mark in four days as it held up very strongly on Monday with collections of 7.25 crore nett. The first week collections of the film should go very close to 70 crore nett with around 68-69 crore nett coming.

The collections are a little less than the Monday of CHHICHHORE but that film had a holiday the next day which helped evening collections so on fair value the Monday of DREAM GIRL is better than CHHICHHORE. The film is fantastic in Delhi NCR and mass circuits like Rajasthan and CI also held very strong with drops of just 15%.

The disappointment is Gujarat/Saurashtra especially considering its a comedy as the circuit likes comedy film. The drop in Gujarat is not big but the film is not really collecting. The film is a HIT and it will be the second Friday which will tell if the film can be a SUPER HIT or better.

DREAM GIRL did fantastic business in its first weekend of around 43.50 crore nett driven by the markets of Delhi/UP and East Punjab which recorded excellent numbers. Delhi/UP hit 5 crore nett on Sunday and East Punjab crossed 2 crore nett mark and these are numbers that very few films have managed to hit on the Sunday this year.

The rest of the country also saw good numbers with the weak spots being Nizam/Andhra and Gujarat/Saurashtra though the latter may be strong in the long run like CHHICHHORE which has done better in the second weekend in the Gujarat area.

The weekend collections are 8.50 crore nett more than last week's CHHICHHORE and if this sort of gap remains at the end of the week then this film will also be a SUPER HIT film.

DREAM GIRL will be a huge winner as it showed growth of 70% on Saturday to collect 16 crore nett and the film took its two day total to 25.50 crore nett. The weekend collections have a chance to hit  45 crore nett. This is the first time that an Ayushmann Khurrana film has seen respectable collections in places like CP Berar, CI and Bihar. These places cant be called great but are posting good numbers for a film that does not have much face value for these parts. The growth in these areas is very good on day two.

The Friday to Saturday growth is the best of the year as below are the films which had best growth among the bigger releases.

The box office has been on a good run with MISSION MANGAL, BATLA HOUSE, SAAHO (Hindi), CHHICHHORE and now DREAM GIRL over the last month but the real test is in October with WAR as can the footfalls happen to put up really big numbers is the question.

DREAM GIRL had a good opening day of 9.50 crore nett as it scored excellent numbers in Delhi/UP and East Punjab. The former was 2.55 crore nett while the latter was 1.13 crore nett. Mumbai has done well also with 2.75 crore though there is under performance against Delhi/UP. South markets were low for the film but Mysore should show huge growth today.

The first day number is good enough to make the film a success as the weekend numbers are sure to come out more than good enough against the cost of the film. The growth will be there for the film and the Gujarat area which leads for comedies can pick up big as it was low on day one probably due to the film not having big stars.

The film is the biggest opening among the newer lot of which three can be called mini stars. Kartik Aaryan opened 7.76 crore nett with LUKA CHUPPI, Vicky Kaushal was 8.49 crore nett with URI and now Ayushmann Khurana has topped that with 9.50 crore nett apprx. All three films are of this year and so have same GST rates and similar GROSS figures give or take 1-2% where the film is doing higher ratios where there is service tax and state levy tax.

The target for these three will be double digit openings which can put them on the level of the likes of John Abraham and Shahid Kapoor and if that can be done then the real test comes to compete with the stars and superstars.
