Dum Laga Ke Haisha 20.50 cr in 2 weeks; Badlapur 49.03 cr in 3 weeks; Dirty Politics 6 cr in 1 week

Box Office India Trade Network

DUM LAGA KE HAISHA grossed a very good 9.75-10 crore nett in its second week taking its two week total to 20.50 crore nett. The second weekend was better than the first but the second week came in a little lower than the first week with a 7-8% drop.

There will be a drop in the third week as another multiplex film NH10 gives it competition but it will still hang around in the theatres for the next few weeks and finish at around the 30 crore nett mark.

The best business is in the North with Delhi/UP being the best circuit followed by East Punjab. West Bengal is the surprise as these types tend to struggle in the circuit and DUM LAGA KE HAISHA may cross 1.75 crore nett which is a big number for that circuit.
--------------------------
BADLAPUR has grossed 49 crore nett in three weeks with the third week adding 3.75 crore nett. The business for the first three weeks is as follows.
Week One - 35,96,00,000
Week Two - 9,32,00,000
Week Three - 3,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 49,03,00,000

The film will cross 50 crore nett but will remain the lowest grossing film of Varun Dhawan as it will fall short of the 53 crore nett business of MAIN TERA HERO.
--------------------------
BADMASHIYAAN, HEY BRO and DIRTY POLITICS fared badly in week one. The first week business of the three films is as follows.
Dirty Politics - 6,00,00,000
Hey Bro - 1,00,00,000
Badmashiyaan - 50,00,000

BADMASHIYAAN and HEY BRO are out of theatres while DIRTY POLITICS remains at some some single screens so may add another 1 crore nett at best.

1st weekend: Dirty Politics 3.95 cr; Badmashiyaan 30 lacs; Hey Bro 70 lacs

The three new releases of the week have all failed at the box office with only DIRTY POLITICS managing some collections. The other two releases BADMASHIYAAN and HEY BRO were disasters with former grossing around 30 lakhs nett and the latter are 70 laks nett.

DIRTY POLITICS fared the best out of the new releases as it grossed around 3.95 crore nett. This is similar to the numbers of  AB TAK CHHAPPAN 2 2 last week, the only difference being that film grossed mainly in Maharashtra while Dirty Politics was best in UP.

DIRTY POLITICS will probably hold at low levels at single screens over the weekdays but that will hardly make a difference to its fate..
-----------------------
DIRTY POLITICS dropped on Monday with collections less than 75 lakhs nett. The first four day business of DIRTY POLITICS is as follows.
Friday - 1,15,00,000
Saturday 1,30,00,000
Sunday - 1,50,00,000
Monday - 65,00,000
TOTAL - 4,60,00,000

The first week collections of DIRTY POLITICS will be around 6 crore nett

Dum Laga Ke Haisha collects 15 cr in 9 days

DUM LAGA KE HAISHA grossed around 2.25-2.50 crore nett on its second Saturday taking its two day second week total close to 4.50 crore nett. The growth is less than week one as it got benefit of Holi on Friday at places. Though growth is less the collections are higher than last Saturday. The film should top 7 crore nett in its second weekend.

DIRTY POLITICS also managed to grow as it grossed around 1.50 crore nett compared to 1.25 crore nett on Friday. The collections of the film are best in UP single screens.

HEY BRO was flat on Saturday and showed no growth. The collections of BADMASHIYAAN were better by 40-50% at multiplexes but with a 10 lakh opening day it is irrelevant.

Day 1: Dirty Politics 1.25 cr; Hey Bro 25 lacs

Box Office India Trade Network
DIRTY POLITICS, HEY BRO and BADMASHIYAAN made no impact at the box office as HEY BRO and BADMASHIYAAN were washout with HEY BRO  at around 25 lacs nett and BADMASHIYAAN will be around half of that at best.

DIRTY POLITICS did better as it grossed around 1.25 crore nett and although even this film had washout collections at multiplexes, the single screens were better and they contributed mostly to its total..
Still DIRTY POLITICS is unlikely to gain over the weekend which gives it no chance of box office success.
