Recently, Hrithik Roshan kicked off the first schedule for his as-yet-untitled next project with a romantic dance number opposite Vaani Kapoor in France. Director Siddharth Anand is expected to shoot the movie in six exotic locations abroad.

Bosco Martis, who choreographed the track, reveals, “I’m working with Hrithik again after Bang Bang (2014). In fact, it’s the same team that I shot with. We filmed a lovely romantic dance number in the picturesque locales of Corsica. He and Vaani are terrific dancers and look good together. Duggu has not done such a track in a while, so he was in his element. This is more on the lines of Tu Meri from Bang Bang. There’s a big signature move in this song as well.”

Along with Hrithik-Vaani, the action flick also features Tiger Shroff. Quiz Bosco if there will be a track featuring the Baaghi star and the Kaabil actor and pat comes the response, “Since both of them are sharing screen space for the first time, you can expect a dance face-off. While we were filming this song, Tiger was shooting his action scenes.”

The makers of the upcoming Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer, 'Tamasha', were to be honoured by the French embassy in New Delhi this week. As the film has been extensively shot in Corsica, the authorities felt it would boost tourism potential to the country. Corsica, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, belongs to France.

However, in the wake of the recent Paris terror attacks, the felicitation function stands cancelled.

The film’s director Imtiaz Ali and producer Sajid Nadiadwala were to be honoured at a special event. The function had been timed as a countdown to the film’s release next week.

Ranbir and Deepika had shot for almost a month in Corsica in July last year.

The film’s spokesperson says, “We are sad and shocked to learn about the terrorist attacks in Paris. We extend our heartiest condolences to the people who have suffered and lost in this incident. We stand with the French embassy and tourism department.”

Early last month, in an interview to Mirror (June 1), Deepika Padukone had admitted that after working, individually with Imtiaz Ali in Love Aaj Kal and Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, it was her dream to make a movie with both of them together. She's living out that dream with Tamasha, an exclusive first look still of which was leaked to Mirror.

The picture from a shoot in Corsica reiterates the easy camaraderie that the two, who were once in a relationship, share, despite having moved on in real life. "The chemistry which was evident during Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is sizzling again and the happiness is reflected on their faces," says a source close to the development.

Tamasha's script has been heavily guarded but as Mirror had earlier reported (August 7, 2014) RK plays a free-spirited nomad in the film who likes to spread happiness around and wanders from place to place. Along the way, he bumps into Deepika's character, who like him is a fan of the French comic series, Asterix, which is set in Corsica. Together, they set out to explore the picturesque French island, staging dramatic plays and falling passionately in love. "It's a journey which is somewhat close to their real life journey as couple and individuals," adds the source.

After playing an ambitious streetfighter in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as a nomad who entertains people while on his travels, in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha.

Revealed our source from the film's unit, "RK plays a free spirit who wants everybody around him to be happy. He doesn't have a permanent home but wanders from place to place, going out of his way to please people."

In Corsica, RK's character bumps into Deepika's character, who as Mirror had reported earlier (July 26), is a fan of the French comic series, Asterix, which is set in Corsica. She has set out on an adventure, following the trail of a character in the series. Turns out RK is equally fascinated with the same series and together they explore the island, forming a troupe of sorts and staging dramatic plays and falling passionately in love along the way.

The source added, "There are several sequences which have RK and Deepika dabbling in dance and staging skits for the locals. The troupe is one of the reasons for the film's title which also refers to the Shakespearean monologue, 'All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players'."

The first schedule of Tamasha wrapped up in Corsica on July 30. After finishing some portions of Jagga Jasoos in the coming weeks, Ranbir-Deepika will go back to shooting the film in North India in November.

Mirror was the first to report that Ranveer Singh, after wrapping up Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, will visit steady date Deepika Padukone in Corsica where she's currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali's Tamaasha with Ranbir Kapoor.

Now, we've learnt that the actor is on the island, keeping his lady love company and he also dropped by her film set recently. He was clicked with Harish Shetty, who is the camera attendant of the film's cinematographer Ravi Verman.

Said a source in the Corsica unit, "Ranveer is good friends with Ravi, who shot his last film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela. So it's not unusual for him to be goofing with the cinematographer on set. Ravi also filmed Ranbir's Barfi!"

And did he ever bump into Ranbir, who is Deepika's former boyfriend, during the surprise visit? "Yes, he did and they were cordial with each other. However, Ranbir keeps to himself whenever Ranveer and Deepika are hanging around together," added the source.

The love birds recently visited Park de Saleccia, a botanical garden spread over several acres in Bastia, the north-eastern part of Corsica where the unit is currently shooting. The two also sampled the local cuisine at eateries after pack-up. Ranveer will be back in India over the weekend.

Mirror has also learnt that the reason the film is set in Corsica is because Deepika's character is a huge fan of the French comic series, Asterix, which is set on the French island.

"Inspired by the character, she decides to go on a trip to the island where she meets another Indian traveller, played by Ranbir. While exploring the place together, they fall in love," our source added.

In Deepika's case, real life seems to be imitating reel life. Love... actually!

Ranbir Kapoor is having an eventful time in Corsica, an island in the south of France where he is shooting for Imtiaz Ali's romantic drama Tamasha. While he is holed up there for 20 days with former flame and co-star Deepika Padukone, current date Katrina Kaif dropped by on July 15 to bring in her birthday with her beau.

Contrary to reports, Kat and RK didn't fly off to another island for some quality time together. "The island is large enough for them to be away from the prying eyes. Dashing to Nice, the nearest port, wasn't advisable since Katrina had to leave the next day for London for Kabir Khan's Phantom. Besides Imtiaz made it clear that he didn't want his hero to be distracted as there is a lot of work to finish," a source from the unit said.

However, it isn't all work and no play for RK. A source informed Mirror that the actor had time off during the weekend.

"So, water baby Ranbir whisked everyone out to sea for some water sports. Imtiaz who's not a sea person, steered clear," said the source.

After Katrina's cameo, the unit is now getting ready to welcome Ranveer Singh who 's expected to drop by to meet his lady love, Deepika, who had spent 10 days with him in Barcelona in June.

Added the source, "There's still 10 days to go before the shoot wraps up on July 30. Ranveer, who will be shooting a commercial in Bucharest, is planning to take a detour t o Corsica before flying back to India."

Katrina Kaif, who turned 31 yesterday, is said to have celebrated her birthday with beau Ranbir Kapoor. The lovebirds flew off to another island from the French island of Corsica where Ranbir is currently shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha.

A source says, “Katrina is shooting in Prague with Hrithik Roshan for Bang Bang. For her birthday, she was given two days off. She flew into Corsica to be with Ranbir for her big day. Ranbir also took time off from his shoot.”

Adds the source, “Initially there was the buzz that she would spend the day in Corsica with Ranbir. But he had planned a surprise getaway and he brought in her birthday on the night of July 15. Today both the actors are expected to be back at their shoots.”

Katrina and Ranbir remained unavailable for comment.

But like it or not, Kat has been a regular at his outdoor shoots. The lovebirds even shot together for a schedule of Jagga Jasoos in Cape Town in South Africa recently. By the time Kat landed onto the Sri Lanka set of Bombay Velvet, the Kapoor boy had had enough and asked her not to make things “awkward” for him.

A source close to the couple reveals, “Katrina resumed shooting for Bang Bang with Hrithik Roshan and has a few free days when she won’t be needed on set and was thinking of spending time with her beau in France. Now those plans will have to be canned.”
