CHHICHHORE recorded very good first week numbers of around 67 crore nett as it came into its own over the weekdays. The weekend performance of the film was decent but the weekdays were extraordinary as all the weekdays held at higher levels than the first day. The lowest collection for the film over the first seven days came on day one.

The Thursday collections were helped as it was last day of Ganpati and so all films went up across Mumbai circuit. The film has collected in seven days what BADHAAI HO collected in its extended eight day first week. The film is a SUPER HIT as it is sure to sustain well on its second Friday even with the release of DREAM GIRL which will have a similar target audience of the multiplexes in the top 15-20 cities. The film is established and it just remains to be seen how well the film sustains on the second Friday.

CHHICHHORE was rock steady on Wednesday as it collected 7 crore nett which is the same as day one despite lower ticket pricing at multiplexes. The trend is very strong on weekdays and its looking a 66 crore nett apprx finish and then Friday will tell where the film will go.

The second week collections of this film will probably beat most of the bigger films of 2019.

CHHICHHORE had excellent collections on Tuesday at 9.75 crore nett. The collections went up around 25% due to Muharram. This makes it the second best Tuesday of the year after KABIR SINGH which was 16.30 crore nett. The other big Tuesdays were URI at 9.60 crore nett and SAAHO (Hindi) at 8.92 crore nett and TOTAL DHAMAAL at 8.63 crore nett though none of these other films had a holiday.

This has taken the total of the film to 52.50 crore nett and the film can finish around the 65 crore nett though it depends where the film lands today as Monday evening and Tuesday were helped by the holiday factor. At the moment the weekday trend of CHHICHHORE is the best this year outside URI and KABIR SINGH and the film looks like becoming a SUPER HIT film.

CHHICHHORE was excellent on Monday as it collected 7.75 crore nett which is 10% higher than Monday. It is the second film to have higher collections on Monday than Friday after URI. That film went up around 25% on Monday but even here this 10% growth means this film could go anywhere now.

The Monday collections are better than all the big sleeper HITS of last year be it BADHAAI HO, RAAZI or STREE. The total collections of the film are 42.75 crore in four days and the week should be in the 60-65 crore nett depending on the jump its gets on Muharram today.

The Monday figures have come on lower weekday ticket rates at multiplexes which will mean the footfalls are around 20-25% more than the first day. The film has around 90% business coming from multiplexes as the single screens have not performed.

CHHICHHORE did well over its first weekend thanks to a strong trend on Saturday and Sunday which took the collections of the film to 35 crore nett over the weekend. The weekend is similar to DE DE PYAAR DE released earlier this year though the growth is more over the weekend and the costs are less than that film.

The film fared best in Delhi NCR though Mumbai could have done better though it picked up very well on Saturday. The film collected 10.25 crore nett in Mumbai circuit and 8.50 crore nett in Delhi/UP circuit. The business was not that great in UP barring some of the multiplexes but due to very good business in NCR the film put up a good Delhi/UP total.

The film should hold on Monday going by the weekend trend but its at what levels it can hold and there will be Moharrum to also help the collections a little.

CHHICHHORE had excellent growth on Saturday of around 70% to collect 11.75-12 crore nett. This takes the two day number of the film to 18.75 crore nett apprx and with the Sunday to come which should be up it will be a decent weekend for the film. The numbers will be just decent due to the first day but due this Saturday growth the trend will be strong unless Sunday does not come through.

This will give the film a chance to make up ground over the weekdays. The film is not costly so this second day ensures success for the film but for a HIT the weekdays and second Friday will be crucial for the film. The film saw huge growth in Mumbai circuit which was low on Friday which means that both the bigger areas of Mumbai and North should perform over the longer run.
