Chal Mera Putt 3 collects 7.33 cr in Week 1; Qismat 2 collects 14.98 cr in 2 weeks

CHAL MERA PUTT 3 has done well in its first with collections of 7.25 crore nett plus but the film has not trended too well. The film is a HIT and even the first week collections are better than CHAL MERA PUTT 2 which was around 6.75 crore nett (this is the first week post the pandemic) but long term performance will be short of CHAL MERA PUTT 2.
The picture is pretty much similar Overseas where CHAL MERA PUTT 2 smashed all records while CHAL MERA PUTT 3 will finish well short. Overall the film is winner due to the initial collections but is not taking the franchise up another level. Basically CHAL MERA PUTT is the GOLMAAL of Punjab and CHAL MERA PUTT 3 can be equated to GOLMAAL RETURNS which was a HIT but the weakest product of the franchise.
The collections of CHAL MERA PUTT 3 till date are as follows.
Friday - 1,32,00,000
Saturday - 1,68,00,000
Sunday - 1,63,00,000
Monday - 86,00,000
Tuesday - 72,00,000
Wednesday - 60,00,000
Thursday - 52,00,000

QISMAT 2 is excellent in week two with business of over 4.25 crore nett taking its two week total to 15 crore nett. The drop is 60% but it was an eight day first week whereas if we take seven days, the drop is just 52%. The film is heading to be the highest Punjabi grosser in India post the pandemic beating the numbers of CHAL MERA PUTT 2.
The collections of this film are simply outstanding in Delhi/UP with collections nearing the 4 crore nett mark. This is where its far ahead of CHAL MERA PUTT 2 while the East Punjab collections compared to CHAL MERA PUTT 2 will be a little lower.

CHAL MERA PUTT 3 has scored well at the box office as it recorded a 4.75 crore nett first weekend which is 1 crore nett more than CHAL MERA PUTT 2 released a few weeks back. The problem is the reports are nowhere close to the last film as the comedy is far weaker in CHAL MERA PUTT 3.
The film will still do well enough due to this very good initial but it is unlikely to match CHAL MERA PUTT 2 in the final run. The collections in East Punjab on Sunday remained below QISMAT 2 despite Sunday being the eleventh day for QISMAT 2 as it was a Thursday release. There was a boost on Saturday due to the national holiday especially in Delhi as collections doubled up there.
The collections overseas were excellent as well but overall the film has done well but its not likely to take the franchise another level higher.
