Chaar Sahibzaade becomes 1st Punjabi film to complete 100 days at 7 centres

CHAAR SAHIBZAADE has hit the traditional century and has had an unprecedented 100 day run at seven centres. This is a huge achievement as no Punjabi film in history has managed to reach this feat before, even at a time when 100 day runs and jubilees were more prevalent.
The biggest hit ever of Punjabi Cinema NANAK NAAM JAHAZ HAI featuring legendary Prithviraj Kapoor is like the SHOLAY or MUGHAL E AZAM of Punjabi cinema and celebrated 100 days at six centres and three of these went on to be silver jubilees. So for CHAAR SAHIBZAADE to have a 100 day run in today's time and that too at more than one centre is a huge feat.
The film reached the 100 day mark in Delhi, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Patiala and Jammu. The similarity between both films is that they are both religious movies. CHAAR SAHIBZAADE has grossed close to 25 crore nett in India in Punjabi and Hindi.

CHAAR SAHIBZAADE has continued its phenomenal trend into week six in East Punjab. Till date the film has not dropped more than 40% in any week and that trend looks to continue in week six. Below is the business till date in East Punjab

CHAAR SAHIBZAADE has become the first Punjabi film to cross 20 crore nett all India. The film has grossed around 15.75 crore nett in East Punjab and 4.50 crore nett in the rest of India. This is business of Punjabi version with the Hindi version collecting a further 2 crore nett in five weeks.
The film which has cost around 10 crore to make and release has basically covered its whole cost from the Indian market with the share coming from overseas which will be 7 crore plus being profit. The business in overseas is around $3 million after five weeks.

CHAAR SAHIBZAADE continued to create history and is now sure to to be the highest grossing Punjabi film ever with chances of hitting the 15 crore nett mark in East Punjab.
The film had grossed 3.80 crore nett in East Punjab in week one and in week two the film has grossed an extraordinary 4.35 crore nett. This is the highest second week collection in East Punjab this year beating KICK which grossed 4.02 crore nett and CHAAR SAHIBZAADE has done it mainly from the Punjab and Chandigarh sector while KICK also had big contributions from places like Gurgaon and Faridabad.
The trending of the film is like from a by gone era as collections are showing no drops on weekdays. The second Friday had grossed 46 lakhs nett and each day in the Mon-Thurs period remained higher than that. The total from East Punjab so far is 8.15 crore nett and is sure to cross the all time record of JATT AND JULIET 2 of 11.75 crore nett in the next two weeks. The Punjabi version is also doing fantastic in Delhi/UP and is likely to cross 3 crore nett from just 25 odd prints.

The phenomenal trend for CHAAR SAHIBZAADE continues as it grossed 2.05 crore nett in its third weekend. The collections were better than the first weekend and just 7% less than second weekend. The film now grossed 10.20 crore nett in East Punjab in seventeen days.
The film will become the highest grossing Punjabi film ever in East Punjab by the end of this week. It has already achieved this feat in Delhi/UP with business around 3 crore nett in seventeen days for the Punjabi version.
Despite almost three weeks since release it is still impossible to judge where the film will end as it has practically no drop since release. The all India business of the Punjabi version is sure to go over 20 crore nett but remains to be seen if it can go to 25 crore nett or even higher.

CHAAR SAHIBZAADE continued its great run in East Punjab as it grossed
2.20 crore nett in its second weekend. The first weekend had seen
business of 1.75 crore nett in four days as it had released on Thursday.
The business in ten days is 6 crore nett and the way it is going it is
sure to cross 10 crore nett and possibly be the highest grossing Punjabi
film ever
The film is also very strong in Delhi/UP and the Punjabi version has so far grossed over 1.50 crore nett in that market. The business of the Punjabi and Hindi versions together was 5.75 crore nett in week one and the second weekend has grossed 3.50 crore nett giving it a total 9.25 crore nett in ten days.

The film is a rage in East Punjab and has also picked up extremely well in Delhi city. CHAAR SAHIBZAADE has been accepted by the family audience in a big way. The older generation which does not venture out to theatres much is coming out in numbers for this films and this ensures a long run at the theatres. The way the film is performing its impossible to call its final business though it will be no surprise if it goes on to become the highest grossing Punjabi film ever.

CHAAR SAHIBZAADE has not done too well in Hindi but the Punjabi
version has proved to a a huge HIT. The film is a boost for the Punjabi
film industry which has had a dull year with only 1984 PUNJAB proving to
be a major hit from around 30 releases
The Punjabi version alone is on its way to being the highest grossing Indian animation film ever which at the moment is HANUMAN released in 2005 which grossed around 5.25 crore nett. There were some prints released in Hindi in East Punjab but their contribution to the overall collections were minimal.
