CARRY ON JATTA 3 had a strong hold on Monday dropping only 35% from its Friday despite having record breaking collections. The trend is superb from the Sunday as well with collections down only 60%. The Monday saw collections of around 2.50 crore nett taking its five day total to almost 22 crore nett.

The film is already on its way to becoming the highest grossing Punjabi film by beating the numbers of CARRY ON JATTA 2 which stand at around 34 crore nett. It remains to be seen how much higher it can go. Obviously the benchmark is 50 crore nett but even with this Monday hold, that will not be easy.

The first week business of the film should be around 26-27 crore nett which will put it among the top four Punjabi films in just one week.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 had extraordinary collections in its extended first weekend setting new benchmarks for Punjabi film industry and new highs for collections in the Punjab state (political) beating all Hindi films as well. The four day weekend across India is around 19 crore nett with east Punjab giving a phenomenal 15 crore nett plus.

There is huge franchise value with the film but with this genre when its all out, then Punjabi films are pretty much unstoppable when it comes to the box office. The box office has been dull for more than a year for Punjabi films as just a 2-3 films get over the 10 core nett mark but CARRY ON JATTA 3 will give the industry hope as new benchmarks are set.

The film has also scored overseas as well and is looking at a worldwide total for the extended weekend of around 40 crore GROSS which easily puts it on course to become the highest grossing Punjabi film worldwide with record standing at 60 crore.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 shattered all records across the Punjab state (political) on Saturday. The highest collections that the cities in the state had ever seen were by KGF - CHAPTER 2 on the first day. The first day of CARRY ON JATTA 3 saw similar collections to what KGF - CHAPTER 2 did on day one with some cinemas being a little higher while some were a little lower.

But on Saturday, it has taken collections of the state to a new level and Sunday is likely to go even further. Note this is not East Punjab circuit which includes Haryana, Himachal and Kashmir but just the Punjab state. The likes of Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar and B centres like Moga and Kotakpura saw collections that had never been seen before and are likely to go higher on Sunday.

The all India collections on Saturday were 5 crore nett taking its three day total to over 13 crore nett. The film has crossed the 10 crore nett mark in East Punjab and Delhi/UP is also outstanding with collections of over 2.25 crore nett. The film has shattered the three day record of SAUNKAN SAUNKNE by a distance. It looks to target to be the highest grossing Punjabi film post pandemic within a week.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 maintained extraordinary collections on the second day as it collected 3.75 crore nett across India. The drop is under 20% post the holiday and that is coming of a huge number on day one. Simply put, the film is on a different level compared to other Punjabi films before.

The film hit the 3 crore nett in East Punjab again on Friday and that means four consecutive days over 3 crore nett in the circuit when there have been hardly any films to get over 3 crore nett in a single day with SAUNKAN SAUNKNE released last year getting 3 crore nett on Sunday.

SAUNKAN SAUNKNE holds the opening weekend record of around 9.25 crore nett which will easily be smashed by CARRY ON JATTA 3 as it should be at least 13 crore nett for the first three days. SAUNKAN SAUNKNE was also the last BLOCKBUSTER for Punjabi cinema. Its been a long time and HISTORY seems to be on the way though it will be weekdays that will confirm if its HISTORY or not.

The film was also fantastic in Overseas on Thursday though being a working day collections get held back a little but on Friday there was no stopping the numbers. Canada saw a huge jump on Friday while UK stands at £100k in two days. Australia is around A$250k in two days. The film is way ahead of SATYAPREM KI KATHA in like to like markets. UK for SATYAPREM KI KATHA is £50k despite a wider release.
