CARRY ON JATTA 3 became the highest grossing Punjabi film by the end of its second weekend as it crossed the numbers of CARRY ON JATTA 2. The film now stands at 36 crore nett. Though there is a drop in collections on the second Monday, that was always likely at some point due to the run so far.

The 50 crore benchmark will not happen for the film but the film will go around 30% higher than the previous record holder CARRY ON JATTA 2 which is also coming when the East Punjab circuit is not like it was before the pandemic be it for Punjabi films or Hindi films.

The film also hit the 75 crore worldwide mark which also easily surpasses the previous record of 60 crore. The film could go on to close at around 90 crore worldwide which is a huge number for the Punjabi film industry.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 had a strong hold on Monday dropping only 35% from its Friday despite having record breaking collections. The trend is superb from the Sunday as well with collections down only 60%. The Monday saw collections of around 2.50 crore nett taking its five day total to almost 22 crore nett.

The film is already on its way to becoming the highest grossing Punjabi film by beating the numbers of CARRY ON JATTA 2 which stand at around 34 crore nett. It remains to be seen how much higher it can go. Obviously the benchmark is 50 crore nett but even with this Monday hold, that will not be easy.

The first week business of the film should be around 26-27 crore nett which will put it among the top four Punjabi films in just one week.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 had extraordinary collections in its extended first weekend setting new benchmarks for Punjabi film industry and new highs for collections in the Punjab state (political) beating all Hindi films as well. The four day weekend across India is around 19 crore nett with east Punjab giving a phenomenal 15 crore nett plus.

There is huge franchise value with the film but with this genre when its all out, then Punjabi films are pretty much unstoppable when it comes to the box office. The box office has been dull for more than a year for Punjabi films as just a 2-3 films get over the 10 core nett mark but CARRY ON JATTA 3 will give the industry hope as new benchmarks are set.

The film has also scored overseas as well and is looking at a worldwide total for the extended weekend of around 40 crore GROSS which easily puts it on course to become the highest grossing Punjabi film worldwide with record standing at 60 crore.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 shattered all records across the Punjab state (political) on Saturday. The highest collections that the cities in the state had ever seen were by KGF - CHAPTER 2 on the first day. The first day of CARRY ON JATTA 3 saw similar collections to what KGF - CHAPTER 2 did on day one with some cinemas being a little higher while some were a little lower.

But on Saturday, it has taken collections of the state to a new level and Sunday is likely to go even further. Note this is not East Punjab circuit which includes Haryana, Himachal and Kashmir but just the Punjab state. The likes of Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar and B centres like Moga and Kotakpura saw collections that had never been seen before and are likely to go higher on Sunday.

The all India collections on Saturday were 5 crore nett taking its three day total to over 13 crore nett. The film has crossed the 10 crore nett mark in East Punjab and Delhi/UP is also outstanding with collections of over 2.25 crore nett. The film has shattered the three day record of SAUNKAN SAUNKNE by a distance. It looks to target to be the highest grossing Punjabi film post pandemic within a week.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 maintained extraordinary collections on the second day as it collected 3.75 crore nett across India. The drop is under 20% post the holiday and that is coming of a huge number on day one. Simply put, the film is on a different level compared to other Punjabi films before.

The film hit the 3 crore nett in East Punjab again on Friday and that means four consecutive days over 3 crore nett in the circuit when there have been hardly any films to get over 3 crore nett in a single day with SAUNKAN SAUNKNE released last year getting 3 crore nett on Sunday.

SAUNKAN SAUNKNE holds the opening weekend record of around 9.25 crore nett which will easily be smashed by CARRY ON JATTA 3 as it should be at least 13 crore nett for the first three days. SAUNKAN SAUNKNE was also the last BLOCKBUSTER for Punjabi cinema. Its been a long time and HISTORY seems to be on the way though it will be weekdays that will confirm if its HISTORY or not.

The film was also fantastic in Overseas on Thursday though being a working day collections get held back a little but on Friday there was no stopping the numbers. Canada saw a huge jump on Friday while UK stands at £100k in two days. Australia is around A$250k in two days. The film is way ahead of SATYAPREM KI KATHA in like to like markets. UK for SATYAPREM KI KATHA is £50k despite a wider release.

CARRY ON JATTA 3 obliterated all records for Punjabi films as it collected around 4.50 crore nett which is almost double of anything the industry has seen before. The film stuck to winning formula of the previous film and has been rewarded and how. If Hindi films have had it bad post pandemic, its been no different for Punjabi films. But this will film will be top grosser of the year before the extended weekend is finished.

The trailer of the film has seen a huge response and with the franchise value, records being set were likely but its the distance they have been smashed by that has surprised one and all. There was a chance East Punjab may hit 3 crore nett but its gone to 3.50 crore nett while outside East Punjab its even better. Here around 50 lakhs is even difficult but CARRY ON JATTA has done 70 lakhs in Delhi/UP alone and 30 lakhs nett in the rest of India. In many cinemas of Delhi city, it was beating the numbers of SATYAPREM KI KATHA.

The overseas results will be huge as Canada will be phenomenal and Australia has crossed $100k mark on day one (Thursday) and is five times higher than SATYAPREM KI KATHA. The first day was a national holiday so that has helped collections but a film like this can do even without an holiday. The target for India now should be 40 crore nett but that will be depend on the weekdays and Punjabi films sustain well through weekdays of the first week.
