On October 2, Salman Khan got back to the set after six-and-a-half months to resume work on his action-thriller Radhe. He was joined by his onscreen ladylove, Disha Patani, the film’s antagonist, Randeep Hooda, along with Jackie Shroff, Arjun Kanungo, Govind Namdev and Tamil actor, Bharath. The 15-20 days’ shoot was to go on till the month-end, but Mirror has learnt that the Prabhudheva directorial wrapped up well ahead of the schedule.

“They successfully completed the shoot at three different locations—N D Studios where some action scenes were filmed, Aamby Valley, where a song was picturised, and Mehboob Studios, where they completed the patchwork. The SOPs laid down by the government were strictly followed. To ensure that there was limited crew on the set, they split the team across three locations, keeping the sets ready for use as soon as the actors arrived,” revealed a source, adding that they managed to wrap up the shoot without any positive cases.

The song, featuring Salman and Disha, was choreographed by Caesar Gonsalves. The shoot dates for the Sajid-Wajid composition, coincided with Wajid’s birthday. “Sajid was present on set and the team remembered the late composer and even cut a birthday cake in his memory. It was an emotional moment,” shared the source.

While a major chunk of post-production work has been completed through the lockdown, the team will now look at locking the edit and rushing through post-production on the sequences recently shot. “The final cut should be ready by December,” informed the source. The film was to arrive in the theatres on Eid 2020 but with the ongoing pandemic delaying things, a call on new release date will be taken in a fortnight’s time.

Salman plays the titular role of Radhe, the most-wanted bhai, who takes on a Goa-based mafia gang led by Randeep. The film is produced by Salman, with brother Sohail and brother-inlaw, Atul Agnihotri.

Check out Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday in Khaali Peeli song 'Beyonce Sharma Jayegi'

Himesh Mankad (MUMBAI MIRROR; September 7, 2020)

Their upcoming film is titled Khaali Peeli and for Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday, it’s been a fun ride all the way, and that also includes a quirky Vishal-Shekhar track, “Beyonce Sharma Jayegi”, which incorporates 12 dance forms. Choreographer Caesar Gonsalves shares, “We experimented with everything, from popping, locking, fire juggling and b-boying to kalaripayattu and Gujarati folk. Ishaan is a fantastic dancer and picked up the moves with ease while Ananya surprised me with her dedication. We rehearsed for four days and shot over three days,” he says.

He came on board following a conversation with Ali Abbas Zafar, who’s producing the film with Himanshu Mehra and Zee Studios. Bosco and he had earlier worked together on Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Gunday. “I was looking to collaborate with him again and texted him. He called to brief me and I got into action. We got experts on all the dance forms on the set. We wrapped it up on March 16, days before the lockdown,” he concludes.

Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor who have teamed up for Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming campus-drama Chhichhore, recently shot for a song that has their characters pledge to give up their favourite things in the hope that it will help their team win a college competition. Titled “Control”, the Pritam composition is choreographed by Caesar Gonsalves. It was shot over 15 days with the leads and their friends in their younger avatars, including Varun Sharma, Naveen Polishetty, Tahir Raj Bhasin.

“The quirky number was filmed in IIT Powai, on the streets and a campus set in Film City, a hockey field and in a canteen… All the regular haunts of college kids. Sushant’s character Anni even promises to stop speaking to his girlfriend (Shraddha) while other vows to give up watching porn and a third smoking and drinking,” informs a source close to the development. Caesar, when contacted, promised that it will be one of his best songs in terms of narrative.

Mirror had earlier reported (February 16) that dance directors Caesar and Bosco Martis had earlier reunited for another song after going their separate ways three years ago. The film which kicked off last September, is set in an engineering college with Prateik Babbar as the antagonist.

Bosco-Caesar reunite after three years for Sushant Singh Rajput-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore

After three years, the National Award-winning choreographers are gearing up to work together on a song in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nitesh Tiwari directorial

Three years ago, Mirror had reported that choreographer-duo Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves, after 200-plus songs in around 75 films, had decided to go their separate ways but would continue with their four-decade friendship. Now, we have learnt that the National Award winners have reunited to choreograph a song for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Chhichhore, featuring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial which kicked off last September, is set in an engineering college.

Caesar confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, it’s true, I’m back with Bosco to choreograph a song after three years. Before we split, we used to do all the songs together, barring a few when there were date clashes. I don’t remember our last song together, but Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) was among our last projects.”

He admitted that after choreographing “Senorita” for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the song that bagged them the National Award, director Zoya Akhtar had wanted them to work together on her next film, Dil Dhadakne Do too. “Bosco and I did two songs separately for her recent release as well and now we will be working on one song after a long time. Sajid (Nadiadwala) sir and Nitesh (director Nitesh Tiwari) sir wanted us to get together for Chhichhore. I have already choregraphed another song for them alone where the characters are being introduced,” Caesar reveals, adding that they have just started working on the creatives and so he can’t reveal any details. “We shoot it in April in true Bosco-Caesar style,” he promises.

Bosco–Caesar started out as backup dancers for Farah Khan. They turned independent in 1994 with a stage show for singers, Shaan and Sagarika, at an awards function. They made their film debut with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Mission Kashmir in 2000.

Will they collaborate in the future? “I hope so, our break-up was not over a fight or because we hate each other. Yes, we have had a few creative differences, but I always say Bosco is my better half as a choreographer. We have been best friends since childhood, he is like a younger brother. I love him and will always stand by him,” Caesar signs off.
