BHARAT had a low second week as it collected 24 crore nett which is a big drop in business from the first week. The total business of the film is almost 193 crore so the overall figures are still pretty good. But this is mainly because of Eid and the initial the film took and on top an extended first weekend.

The second week trend of the film looks like taking the film to 200 crore nett plus but last week it faced no competition at the box office while it is a different scenario this week with a big release KABIR SINGH.

The numbers in Delhi/UP are really pushing the film especially UP which is putting up good numbers especially the bigger cities like Lucknow, Kanpur and Dehradun. The film has crossed the share of URI as it has a share of around 102 crore in 2 weeks. The film will not be the top grosser of the year but it will have the highest distributor share till date for 2019.

BHARAT was 10% down on its second Tuesday compared to the second Monday with collections of 2.25 crore nett. The film has grossed 188.75 crore nett so far and will end the week with in the 192.50 crore nett range.

The film has held up well enough in Delhi/UP and East Punjab but the rest of the country has seen big falls. The falls in some of the smaller areas don't matter much but if Mumbai could have held up as well as North after the initial days, then this film could have been 5-6 crore nett better off at present.

The film will be a HIT if it sees the normal trending from here on. It is about the third Friday seeing a normal drop when the film faces major competition for the first time.

BHARAT is showing normal trending on its second Monday with a drop of 35% apprx from Friday. The film lost business on Sunday due to the cricket match but its not covering any of those losses because if it was, then the drop on Monday would be better than normal. The same thing happened last week when Sunday was also affected by the match.

The film collected 2.50 crore nett on its second Monday and took its second week total to 18.25 crore nett in four days. The film has grossed 186.50 crore nett till date.

The second week numbers are heading towards the 24-25 crore nett mark which is a low number for such a big film. Earlier this year TOTAL DHAMAAL did 36 crore nett apprx and KESARI did 30 crore nett apprx in week two. The second week BHARAT number are similar to GULLY BOY and it should be doing better than that film.

Overall BHARAT is a success and will be a SEMI HIT or HIT film depending on what happens this Friday when there is competition from a major new release.

BHARAT did well on Sunday as it collected 5.75-6 crore nett. The film should have collected 8 crore nett plus but you take a 6 crore nett when there is a big India v Pak match going on. There could have been a major drop from the business from Saturday but it is pretty much flat. There was some decent growth in mass pockets. This has taken the second weekend to 16 crore nett which is not a good number but considering the limited appreciation and on top the possibility of Sunday going down its a respectable weekend. The trend for all the other releases was down on Sunday and it was only BHARAT which bucked this trend with flat collections.

There are centers like Gurgaon and Noida which hardly grow on a normal Sunday even for the biggest of films as evening and night shows don't collect on Sunday in these centers and this film has pretty much trended similar in these places like a normal of Sunday even with the match. The film is best in NCR especially the UP centers of Noida and Ghaziabad and this makes Delhi/UP by far the best circuit for the film.

The total collections of the film are 184 crore nett after the second weekend and if you look at the second weekend compared to the first then the drop is over 80% which means the film is not really sustaining. But the plus is that it has the numbers up on the board already and its not that its completely crashed out either.

BHARAT is doing reasonable business in the second weekend as it collected 6 crore nett apprx on Saturday with good growth of 50% on Saturday. The first two days of the second week suggest a 27-28 crore nett second week but the cricket may get in the way of that especially on Sunday which could be hit badly. The business in eleven days is 178 crore nett plus.

The should film should be doing at least 8 crore nett on Sunday for a 18 crore nett second weekend but it remains to be seen where the numbers land up on Sunday. The film is doing best business in Delhi/UP which is at 40 crore nett plus in eleven days. Mumbai has hit 50 crore nett but it should be doing better. The Delhi/UP ratio was 23% in the extended first week while Mumbai was just 28.50% which is low.

If we compare the business to URI which is the top grosser of the year, then it is likely to match or cross it in all circuits barring Mumbai and South but the gap will be a huge 50-55 crore nett in these two markets.

BHARAT collected 3.75 crore nett on its second Friday which is on the lower side but it has stopped the slide in collections. The film saw fairly big drops on Wednesday and Thursday and the second Friday could have been easily down 30-40% but the drop is just 25% which is a actually a good result for the film. The total collections have crossed 175 crore nett.

The lack of competition has helped as there is no release be it from Hindi cinema or Hollywood that can compete which has meant the drop on the second Friday from the Thursday is better than normal for a big film.

The film is a success but there are cricket matches that could come in the way of the film being a clean HIT. There is a big match on Sunday with India vs Pakistan and this could take out a big chunk of the business which could leave the film with a low weekend. As appreciation is limited, it will struggle to cover the losses of Sunday in the weekdays.

If the film is hit hard on Sunday then it will be down to the following Friday which will probably decide if this film is a HIT or SEMI HIT.
