BATLA HOUSE had a good second week of 23.50 crore nett and took its it two week total to 83 crore nett and is a HIT film. The drop in the second week is just 60% and that is taking the extended eight day first week with a a huge national holiday on day one. So its a strong trend.

It was hugely helped by the open week and the weekend collections boosted by Janmashtami in the second week. With SAAHO releasing today, there will be a huge drop in collections but the job is done and the film has worked in the bigger centres. The clash has worked its favour as the film  would have had no chance of doing this sort of business had it released on a normal day even with a solo release.

The second week collections are the tenth best of the year and pretty much similar to films like BHARAT and GULLY BOY which were 24 crore nett apprx and 25 crore nett apprx respectively. The film has comfortably crossed the business of the highest John Abraham solo starrer SATYAMEVA JAYATE which did around 80 crore nett last year.

BATLA HOUSE remained steady on its second Tuesday with a 5% drop from the previous day. The business of BATLA HOUSE is trending better on the weekdays compared to MISSION MANGAL as that film has a higher ratio of business coming from Mumbai and South and these circuits tend to fall more on the weekdays. In terms of audience demographics, it less of that family weekend audience like MISSION MANGAL.

The film has matched the business of SATYAMEVA JAYATE in thirteen days as that film had a lifetime total of a little under 80 crore nett. The second week business of the film should be 23.50 crore nett plus and the lifetime number will depend on what number it gets on the third Friday.

BATLA HOUSE was steady on Monday. The film dropped less on Monday as compared to MISSION MANGAL as the boost for Janmashtami on Friday was also less. The film collected well on Tuesday with collections around the 2 crore nett mark and is heading for a second week around  of 24 crore nett.

The film will cross the business of SATYAMEVA JAYATE by the end of the week which is a good result for the film. It will be the highest grossing solo John Abraham starrer be it NETT or GROSS and could finish up with a 90 crore nett total depending on what happens on the third Friday. There will be a huge reduction of screenings as SAAHO will release and MISSION MANGAL will be first choice for the holdover films.

The film is best in Delhi/UP and the circuit should cross 20 crore nett by the end of the week. Mumbai will be 26 crore nett by the end of the week but that could have done a little better. The film also under performed in CP, CI, Rajasthan but Bihar was good. A market like Nizam/Andhra will get now where close to the numbers of SATYAMEVA JAYATE and it will probably be the case for CP Berar.

BATLA HOUSE did good business in the second weekend as it collected 16.75 crore nett. Its a good number for the film and is higher than many of the successful films of 2019 be it DE DE PYAAR DE, LUKA CHUPPI or BHARAT. Janmashtami has helped the second weekend and this has come as a big bonus to the film.

The film has now collected over 75 crore nett in 11 days and as long as the second Monday does not go down badly it will be a HIT film and that's a very good final result considering how the film opened in its mornings shows last Thursday. It looked a huge uphill task to score especially with the competition of a stronger film but the film has come through.

BATLA HOUSE like MISSION MANGAL also showed a big jump on Saturday around 60% and this two day Janmashtami benefit is big plus for this film. MISSION MANGAL was doing very well anyway so the 6-7 crore nett extra that Janmashtami has given hardly matters much in the long run but for BATLA HOUSE that 3-4 crore extra can make the difference between a HIT and SEMI HIT film.

The film is now probably looking to be HIT film as the film will probably finish more towards that 90 crore nett zone rather than the 80 crore nett zone. Its looking to do business similar to MANIKARNIKA - THE QUEEN OF JHANSI and DE DE PYAAR DE but this film has lower costs than those two films. The drop on Monday could be higher than normal and that will probably tell where the film will go.

BATLA HOUSE has done well in its extended first week with collections of 59.50 crore nett in eight days. The first day collections of the film could have been better but it has managed to sustain well after the big national holiday on day one.

The collections are a little lesser than SATYAMEVA JAYATE last year as that film did 59.35 crore nett in seven days while this is doing it in eight days but there is a good chance that BATLA HOUSE will do better than that film after the first week. The film can emerge a HIT if it holds well in the second and the lack of competition should enable it to do that. The best numbers are in the Delhi NCR belt and UP was also good in the extended weekend.

BATLA HOUSE got the benefit of Janmashtami on its second Friday as collections improved compared to the Thursday. The film picked up 3.75 crore nett which is a good number for the second Friday. Obviously the number is aided by Janmashtami so the growth on Saturday will not be like it normally is. But it should easily be able to do a double digit weekend which SATYAMEVA JAYATE could not do in its whole second week last year. The growth on Janmashtami was not as much as MISSION MANGAL  which went up more than 20%.

The film continues to be best in Delhi NCR with Mumbai city also showing pretty good numbers. The nine day total is 63 crore nett plus and it does look like the film will cross the lifetime business of  SATYAMEVA JAYATE which is the highest John Abraham solo grosser.

There will be a competition next week due to the release of SAAHO but the film should have crossed the 75 crore nett mark by then at least.
