BADLA had a good hold in week six with a drop of just 25% as it collected 1.65 crore nett apprx. The film is heading for a final total of 87 crore nett plus. The film has has collected around 14 crore more than ANDHADHUN which was a similar film. Even in terms of GROSS business it is more with ANDHADHUN at 93 crore and BADLA at 101 crore.

KESARI collected a good 3.50 crore nett in its fourth weekend. The collections are 147.50 crore nett plus now and it should add around 3-4 crore nett from here on as the flow of releases get stronger.

KESARI took its total to 144.50 crore nett as it collected 60-65 lakhs nett on its fourth Friday. The drop is around 60% from last Friday which is better than normal trend. It will be a shortened week as KALANK will come on Wednesday but by that time KESARI will be coming to the end of its run.

KESARI held well in the third week dropping around 63% to collect 11 crore nett. The total collections of the film are now 144 crore nett. The film still probably has another week or so to collect before the big films arrive.

The film has now crossed the business of ANDHADHUN in Mumbai circuit also and that film was mainly a Mumbai/Pune HIT. The collections of BADLA are still a little over than ANDHADHUN in Mumbai city and Pune but it has better collections in practically every other city in India.

JUNGLEE dropped on its second Friday despite holding up pretty well over the weekdays in its first week. The film collected around 30-35 lakhs on its second Friday taking its total to around 21.50 crore nett. The film really had to collected around the 1 crore nett mark on its second Friday for a decent total but it is way short.

The other release of last week NOTEBOOK had negligible collections on the second Friday.
BADLA saw its first major drop on its fifth Friday as it collected 30 lakhs nett apprx. The film has probably exhausted its audience which is mainly in metros but has done very well to get this far and will probably end with business of around 86-87 crore nett.

TOTAL DHAMAAL collected 55 lakhs nett apprx in week six which has taken it close to the 150 crore nett mark. The film has still got decent collections in Mumbai circuit, UP and CPCI Rajasthan. The film will continue to collected over next few weeks to get over the 150 crore nett although collections will only be lakhs. Cities like Ahmedabad, Surat and Jaipur are still contributing well.

BADLA had a solid fourth week with collections of 5.50 crore nett. The fourth week numbers are only below URI and TOTAL DHAMAAL if we compare the films released this year. The film still has some legs and it could chase down the LUKA CHUPPI figure which is the sixth highest grosser of the year so far.

Luka Chuppi, Badla, Captain Marvel head for a photo finish

LUKA CHUPPI, BADLA and CAPTAIN MARVEL are all HITS and have all done similar business. The race is still on as to which film finishes the biggest grosser out of the three. CAPTAIN MARVEL is probably out of the race as its unlikely to reach the numbers of LUKA CHUPPI. BADLA could chase down the figure though as it is still doing decent numbers and will still collect for another week or two.
On the costs CAPTAIN MARVEL is the bigger HIT as all it has is PA and in the India market but while LUKA CHUPPI and CAPTAIN MARVEL had similar releases of 2000 screens plus. BADLA was released on just 1200 screens so it has done well to be at the same level of the other two. But then LUKA CHUPPI has good to decent numbers wherever released while the other two have recorded good numbers in the bigger circuits only and not done too well in the Hindi markets.
So with these things cancelling each other out it can be said that the one with the best final figures is probably the biggest out of the three at the box office in India.

BADLA had another solid weekend as it grossed 3.75 crore nett and its total went to 80 crore nett plus. The film has now grossed more than PIKU which is the highest Amitabh Bachchan nett grosser in recent times where he is the central character. That film also had Deepika Padukone who was the number one female star at the time of release of PIKU. The drop in collections came last week as KESARI released but this week it will again drop less than 50%.

BADLA is still holding well at the box office as it collected 75 lakhs nett at the box office on the fourth Friday which has taken the film 78.25 crore nett. This film still has some legs left and could see it cross 85 crore nett and it could eventually do better than CAPTAIN MARVEL which released alongside and even LUKA CHUPPI which released one week before and will finish with 86 crore nett plus.

BADLA did well again in week three despite the competition of KESARI. The film added around 10.75 crore nett to take its total to 77.50 crore nett. It will easily cross 80 crore nett though 90 crore nett maybe tough as the growth on Saturday and Sunday was not like the previous weeks.

CAPTAIN MARVEL has done very well and will be the sixth or seventh highest grossing Hollywood film in India in terms of NETT figures. In terms of GROSS it will probably be in ninth or tenth place. This is excellent for a film which has not really been liked. The open second week probably pushed the film 5-6 crore nett higher then it should have been.

BADLA had a fair weekend but has held up very well on teh weekdays with collections of 3.50 crore nett or more on each of its weekday. The film is just 30% down on Thursday from the first day. The collections so far are 37.25 crore nett in seven days and it should do very well in the second week considering how well the weekdays held up.
The film also went ahead of CAPTAIN MARVEL on Thursday which has seen the opposite trend on the weekdays as compared to BADLA. The film should easily cross the figures of 102 NOT OUT which was the last Amitabh Bachchan film as main lead.

BADLA had a strong weekend as it collected 28 crore nett to have a two week total of around 66 crore nett. The collections dropped just 25% apprx in the second week. It is the third highest second week collection of the year after URI and TOTAL DHAMAAL. The business on the third Friday will tell where the film will go.

BADLA had a good third weekend of 6.75 crore nett though the collections did not grow much over the weekend and Sunday was flat. It is being said that the start of IPL has affected collections over the weekend as growth is limited for all films that are being screened. BADLA still should be able to add 10 crore nett apprx in week three.
