BAADSHAHO had an average first week of 54.25 crore nett but these collections came as it got advantage of Eid and post Eid in some circuits. If the film did not get this push then the collections would have been 4-5 crore nett less. The film had to come up with a 60 crore nett plus total in week one but it has fell well short even with the Eid boost. The film will have to hold very well on day eight to get around that 80 crore nett plus final total for average business but that is going to be tough as collections did fall on Wednesday and Thursday as all the circuits came back to normal ratios.
The film has done better in B and C centres but even here the collections cant really be called good. The single screens were the best hope for the film but a mass action film like BAAGHI collected 30% more across all India single screens. Bihar is best across India with around 2.25 crore nett which is similar to the lifetime business of JOLLY LLB 2 and KAABIL in that circuit.
SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is on the lower side in week one at 23.25 crore nett but its held up well on the weekdays. There was a fall post Eid on Wednesday and Thursday but it still held at around the 2 crore nett mark on both days. The collections for week one are the same as HINDI MEDIUM which is the only small film to become a HIT this year but the weekday trend of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is not as strong as that film. The film should give BAADSHAHO tough competition this week and could even actually go ahead of the bigger film. It is certain to beat the numbers of BAREILLY KI BARFI released a few weeks back but the real task is to get to around the 40 crore nett mark.

The box office went back to normal on Wednesday as all the post Eid benefit went out of the equation. All releases were being boosted by good collections in Muslim centres on Monday and Tuesday and these fell back to normal levels on Wednesday. BAADSHAHO was worse hit as the holiday factor went out as it was performing best at B and C centres. The film collected 3.50-3.75 crore nett on Wednesday to take its total to 51 crore nett plus. The first week will finish with collections of 54 crore nett plus and its fate will depend on day eight and if that is reasonable it may become an AVERAGE fair. The six day business of BAADSHAHO is as follows.
Friday - 10,10,00,000
Saturday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 3,75,00,000 apprx
Total - 51,10,00,000 apprx
SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN also fell on Wednesday for the same reasons as BAADSHAHO but as it was benefiting less from the holiday factor as business outside the metros is poor. it did not fall as much as BAADSHAHO. Despite the fall the film is in a decent position and the week will end at 23 crore nett and then its all depending on week two and it could give BAADSHAHO a good battle in week two. The film will be an AVERAGE fair at worst and could go up a notch or two depending on how it behaves after the first week. The six day figures of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN are as follows
Friday - 2,64,00,000
Saturday - 5,50,00,000
Sunday - 6,00,00,000
Monday - 2,40,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 21,29,00,000 apprx

BAADSHAHO held well on Tuesday with collections sowing a little improvement from Monday as it grossed 5.50 crore nett. This is a good number for a Tuesday but although there are no official holidays the collections are being held up due to festivities. The collections in places like UP, Bihar, Nizam and Maharashtra are very good but its not the same picture everywhere. The trend is area specific as both multiplexes and single screens are showing similar trends in each circuit and its not as if the film is holding up better with a certain type of audience. BAADSHAHO has done well till now but the real picture will only be known is when the ratios of the circuits come back down to normal. The five day business of BAADSHAHO is as follows.
Friday - 10,10,00,000
Saturday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Total - 47,35,00,000 apprx

BAADSHAHO had a decent Monday with collections of 5.25 crore nett which takes its five day total to a little under 42 crore nett. It has a pretty good hold on Monday but there is a holiday after affect as some places have remained very steady on Monday while others have dropped over 50-55%. The film has only dropped in the 20-30% range in UP, Bihar and Nizam which is probably due to the after affect of Eid. These areas are likely to drop faster over the weekdays as collections are so high on Monday. Still overall its a decent Monday and remains to be seen where the film can go from here. The film is best in Bihar and could become the top film there after BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION if it continues there with normal trending over the next two weeks or so. The four day business of BAADSHAHO is as follows.
Friday - 10,10,00,000
Saturday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 5,25,00,000 apprx
Total - 41,85,00,000 apprx
The first week will depend on how the film holds over the next two days and when do collections in places which are hugely outperforming come back to normal. It is probably looking at a 54-55 crore nett first week but the next couple of days will decide that.

BAADSHAHO has had a fair weekend of 36.50 crore nett apprx but the film probably had to cross 40 crore nett to be in a solid position. The film has probably collected 5-6 crore nett less than it should have. The film saw a little drop in collections on Sunday but that is because Saturday was a holiday and sort of became a Sunday for the film. It has done good business in some circuits like Bihar, Rajasthan, CP Berar and CI but the bigger circuits like Mumbai, Delhi/UP and East Punjab are on the lower side. This is because the high end multiplexes have not performed and here even SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN has managed similar collections or even higher at places. The weekend business of BAADSHAHO is as follows.
Friday - 10,10,00,000
Saturday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx
Total - 36,60,00,000 apprx
The film is now depending on a good hold on Monday and then it has weak competition for the nest few weeks which can give it a run but for that the weekdays have to hold up. It is the eight highest opening weekend of the year and the third highest for an Ajay Devgn starrer after SINGHAM RETURNS and BOL BACHCHAN. For Emraan Hashmi its the highest opening weekend ever beating RAAZ 3 by around 2 crore nett.

BAADSHAHO did well on its second day as it grossed 13.50 crore nett taking its two day total to 23.50 crore nett plus. The growth was close to 35% on day two thanks to a holiday for Eid. It will be limited growth today as yesterday was like a Sunday but it will come out with a decent weekend thanks to Saturday and Sunday. The film is in the black for producers with a little table profit but has been sold for 40 crore to distributors across India. So it needs 80 crore nett plus business to cover and a 36-37 crore nett weekend will give it a chance. Basically if it can do business like SHIVAAY, then most investors would have covered. The two day business of the film is as follows.
Friday - 10,10,00,000
Saturday - 13,50,00,000
Total - 23,60,00,000 apprx
SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN had a huge growth on day two as it more than doubled its collections though some of this growth was due to the holiday for Eid. The film is very comparable to BAREILLY KI BARFI released a few weeks but from the promo this film looked as it could have a bit more reach than that film as this film has a more authentic small town feel but with that extra reach you also have to be liked a bit more also and the next two days will determine that. The two day figures of SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN are as follows
Friday - 2,64,00,000
Saturday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 8,14,00,000
