Salman Khan’s 50th birthday two years ago was marked with a private celebration at his Panvel farmhouse with the extended Khan-daan and close friends of the family in attendance. The expansive property was decorated with lights and balloons with a lavish buffet spread set by the pool. It was a memorable night marked with much revelry and Salman posing for a record number of starstudded selfies.

Now, Mirror has learnt that the filmi family is assembling again for actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan’s 50th birthday on August 4 with a grand celebration at a Bandra five-star. Elaborate prep is on even as personal calls are being made to invite close friends for an all-nighter.

Arbaaz, whose birthday has somehow achieved the amazing feat of slipping the media radar year after year, is known to favour strictly low-key celebrations. Last year, he cut a cake with ex-wife Malaika Arora and sister-in-law Amrita Arora. This year too, meaning to keep the celebration out of the limelight, the birthday boy duly excused himself from speaking about the soiree.

Meanwhile, we hear a special photographer has been summoned to capture precious moments from the upcoming bash that will be compiled into an album to be gifted to Arbaaz at the end of the night.

Arbaaz Khan turned 49 on Thursday and wife Malaika Arora Khan posted a picture of them cutting a cake together and captioned it ''Happy bday Arbaaz...happiness always."

The duo hosted the couple-based reality show Power Couple earlier this year amidst break-up rumours following a joint statement in March that they have separated. But recently Mirror (July 6) spotted the couple enjoying a dinner date with son Arhaan. All's well in paradise lost?
