AQUAMAN has done well over the holiday period and emerged a HIT film. The film is the fourth highest grossing Hollywood film of 2018 after AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR; JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT with BLACK PANTHER and DEADPOOL 2 being the other two films to cross 50 crore nett. The film should finish around the 55 crore nett mark

The film faced competition from ZERO and SIMMBA and also from releases in South but has managed to maintain well.

The 50 crore nett mark will be tough for the film due the release of ZERO but it should emerge the sixth highest grossing film from Hollywood this year after AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT, BLACK PANTHER and DEADPOOL 2.

AQUAMAN has done pretty well in its first weekend with collections of 24 crore nett. The growth was decent for the weekend but it will be all about that Monday hold. Normally just normal trending from here would take the film to a decent total.

But here there is ZERO coming in week two and the film could have a shortened run unless the holds are strong on the weekdays.

There was big growth on Saturday but this tends to happen with animation and despite doubling up it probably had to do more than that to get a run at the box office.

The film has so far collected over 15 crore nett including paid previews and should have a weekend of over 23 crore nett. That will be a decent weekend total but its about that Monday as it has to be good otherwise to film will be out when ZERO comes on Friday.

KEDARNATH has maintained pretty well at the box office as it collected in the 2.25-2.50 crore nett range on its second Friday. The drop is less than 20% range from the previous day which is a solid hold. This takes the business of the film to 44.50 crore nett in eight days..

The film is doing its best business in the Delhi NCR belt and is a surprise success of 2018. The film should show good growth over the weekend and have a decent second weekend.
