Week 1: Alone collects 17 cr; I 9.50 cr; Tevar 36 cr in 2 weeks; PK 336 cr in 5 weeks

PK grossed around 4.25 crore nett in its fifth week to take its lifetime total close to around 336 crore nett. The fifth week total is the seventh highest of all time and since 2010 only AASHIQUI 2 has the higher fifth week total. 3 IDIOTS has the highest fifth week total of all time of 9.75 crore nett plus.
The drop in the fifth week is 66%. The film probably will add another 2 crore nett for a finish around the 338 crore nett. It will mean a 30% higher total than previous record holder DHOOM 3 though footfalls will only 7% more.
The multiplex business is extraordinary. PK is the first film to cross 200 crore nett from all India multiplexes as the final multiplex total is set for a huge 275 crore nett and distributor share of nearly 125 crore.

TEVAR grossed around 4.25 crore nett in week two taking its total to around 36 crore nett. FLOP

ALONE grossed a little over 17 crore nett in its first week. The weekend was low and weekdays held steady on low collections. There are two main releases today which will put and end to ALONE's run. The film may just squeeze past 20 crore nett but with the genre mainly depending on Indian theatrical for recovery it has no chance of recovery.
I, dubbed from the Tamil film of the same name, grossed 9.50 crore nett in Hindi which is also very poor. The film may end up at 11-12 crore nett but that is half the total of ROBOT that released in 2010.
CRAZY CUKKAD FAMILY and SHARAFAT GAYI TEL LENE were washouts with the formet being the better of the two.

ALONE held up pretty well on Monday as it collected nearly 2 crore nett taking its business to a little under 13 crore nett. The four day daily business is as follows..
Friday - 3,35,00,000
Saturday -3,45,00,000
Sunday - 4,25,00,000
Monday - 1,85,00,000
TOTAL - 12,90,00,000

I in Hindi has not done well with business of 7.50 crore nett in four days plus paid previews. The collections are less than ROBOT that released a few years which itself did not do too well. These are are the only two dubbed films from South India to get a major release in Hindi over the last few years.
The collections are just not in accordance to the releases, the releases are wide but collections very limited. Its a similar story for Hindi films dubbed in Telugu and Tamil. There are many territories which just don't collect for these type of films and Mumbai circuit is contributing around 50%.
The all India collections of I were around 95 crore nett till the end of business on Sunday. The business is huge down South but the cost to cover is also huge. The film will cross the other big South Indian film LINGAA that released a few weeks back which grossed around 125 crore nett.

ALONE failed to show much growth over the weekend. The first two days were in the 3.50 crore nett region and Sunday is a little over 4 crore nett giving it a weekend of 11-11.25 crore nett.
The film needed to open better around the 4.5-5 crore mark which would have taken it to a decent 15 crore nett weekend. This genre finds it tough to show big growth over Saturday and Sunday and so the opening is all important. A solo release may have helped its cause. Although CRAZY CUKKAD FAMILY and SHARAFAT GAYI TEL LENE made no impact, the dubbed film I managed to get some footfalls. In places like Maharashtra and Gujarat there was not much difference in the collections of ALONE and I.

ALONE grossed 3.25-3.50 crore nett on day one which is on the lower side and will have to show 15-20% growth on Saturday to come out with fair weekend numbers. CREATURE 3D had grossed 2.75 crore nett on day one but a similar film to ALONE like HATE STORY 2 had grossed 4.75 crore nett on day one.
A 4 crore nett plus figure would have been a decent result for ALONE but still if its gets over 4 crore nett on Saturday it will be in better position.
I which is a dubbed version of the Tamil film grossed around 1.75 crore nett with around 50% of the business coming from Mumbai circuit.. Its a decent collection for a dubbed film but was a much wider release compared to other dubbed films. the only one which can compare is Robot.
The other two films - CRAZY CUKKAD FAMILY and SHARAFAT GAYI TEL LENE - are disasters as both films will have day one figures under 20 lakhs nett.
