MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN has outpaced ALL IS WELL at the box office. Both the films had released on the same day with ALL IS WELL getting a release which was one third of MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN, Below is a comparison of both films till date

ALL IS WELL fared very poorly in week one grossing 12.50 crore nett. The film did not open well on Friday, showed growth on Saturday but nothing like it should have after such a poor opening and then collections fell badly on Monday. The film is a big loser and out of most theatres this week.

MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN Mn fared better than ALL IS WELL comparatively. The film grossed around 9 crore nett in the first week and held up well on the weekdays on low collections. The collections on Thursday were better than ALL IS WELL. There is a good chance that its lifetime business will be better than ALL IS WELL.

This won't be enough for the film to be a plus but for a film which would have been expected to be total loss to come out with a loss of a crore or two is a respectable result.

ALL IS WELL dropped 55% on Monday collecting around 1.10 crore nett taking its business to 9.85 crore nett apprx in four days. The drop is huge for a film doing such low business and the first week will be around 12 crore nett. The first week collections will be lower than films like ALONE and EK PAHELI LEELA

MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN was fairly steady on Monday as it grossed around 80-85 lakhs nett which is a drop of 30% from day one. The collections in four days are 6.50-6.75 crore nett and the week should be able to add another 2 crore nett plus for a total of 8.75 crore nett.

MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN is steady on Monday but had to do better if it was to cover costs. The film dropped 30% from Friday but needed to match Friday or go higher to succeed.

ALL IS WELL showed growth of around 30% on day two and that is nowhere near enough from the start it had. Any little chance it had at the box office is now gone with its Saturday business. The first two day business of ALL IS WELL is as follows.

MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN is likely to have a better run than ALL IS WELL as it showed good upturn in business on Saturday. The collections were up around 70% from the previous day. The film will struggle to cover cost as these type of films only have India theatrical as revenue but it could get a decent little run at the ticket counter for a couple of weeks. The first two day business of Manjhi - The Man Mountain is as follows.

ALL IS WELL fared poorly at the box office grossing 8.75 crore nett approx in its first weekend. The film opened poorly on day one and then showed of growth of around 30% on day two but as day one was less than 2.50 crore nett, the growth had to be a minimum 75% and that just for a good trend. The film has fared poorly all over with Mumbai giving a slightly better ratio than the average.

The film will suffer huge losses though the makers are lucky that it got a good satellite price which means the losses will be shared with the TV channel unless the price is renegotiate which does happen often.

MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN grossed nearly 5.75 crore nett which is a low collection but with a 1.25 crore nett day one, it has a decent trend to come out with collections close to 6 crore nett. It is probably not going to be enough for the film unless Monday can beat the Friday figure. Still it can give the bigger film ALL IS WELL a challenge in terms of lifetime collections and maybe even beat it if it gets some luck in week two.

ALL IS WELL had a poor first day with collections set to be around 2.50 crore nett. The film has fared very poorly all over and there was not much of an improvement in the evening to suggest a big improvement today. It should grow but it's unlikely to be the sort of growth the film needs to get a decent run. The music of the film was pretty well promoted but it has not helped much at the boxoffice.

MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN also did poorly but this film did do a bit better in the evening shows. The film has collected in the 1-1.25 crore nett range but did get a good amount of screen time with most multiplexes giving it one screen and collections are low for the screen time alloted.

Still the film should show better growth than ALL IS WELLon Saturday going by the trends on Friday and is actually looking the better bet out of the two films.
