Earlier this year, on July 13, actress Chitrangada Singh turned producer with Soorma, the biopic on Indian’s former hockey captain Sandeep Singh who was paralysed after an accidental gunshot in 2006 but defied the odds to return to the playing field. Encouraged by the positive response, she is now planning to produce another sports biopic.

A source close to the actress told Mirror that the idea is still in the nascent stage, but she has liked a riveting emotional story and is in talks with her team to bring it to the screen. “She is planning to roll with it early next year with some known faces,” adds the source.

Chitrangada was last seen in the third instalment of the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster franchise as Sanjay Dutt’s love interest. The film opened on July 27. She is now looking forward to the Nikkhil Advani’s crime drama Bazaar, alongside Saif Ali Khan, Radhika Apte and newbie Rohan Mehra. The film is set against the backdrop of stock market.
